I believe that most would agree with Gennady, and the fact of the matter is, while there is an entire army of fans out there thinking that Alvarez will be able to bully Mayweather Jr., he simply won’t be able to get close enough to do the damage.

Fury will win the press conferences; Haye will win fight

fury2222David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) and Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) will be meeting up on September 28th at the Manchester Arena, in Manchester, UK. This Thursday, Haye and Fury will be announcing the fight. The fight itself promises to be a rather easy one for Haye, because Fury hasn’t looked good against the mediocre opposition he’s faced thus during his 5 year pro career.

However, Fury should at least win the press conference this Thursday and all the remaining press conferences as well. Haye will likely let Fury do most of the talking in building this fight, because his chances of getting the better of Fury in the trash talking department are slim and none.

Fury is one of those types of fighters that are willing and ready to say anything. He tends to get heated when his opponents try and trash talk him back.

Haye Vs. Fury Official – Press Conference To Announce Showdown Set For Thursday In London

haye54It’s finally official: British heavyweight rivals Tyson Fury and David Haye will fight on September the 28th in Manchester.

Haye signed the contract for the fight yesterday, and now Fury has agreed to the exciting-looking match-up that may well captivate British audiences.

“David Haye and Tyson Fury, both world-ranked, charismatic and dangerous, have agreed to a highly anticipated domestic showdown on Saturday 28th September at the Manchester Arena,” a statement from Hayemaker Promotions read. “It marks not only the biggest heavyweight encounter of 2013, but also the biggest fight staged in Britain in many years.”

Cleverly ready to beat Kovalev on August 17th

cleverly3 Nathan Cleverly is looking forward to slaying the mighty Russian KO king Sergey Kovalev at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on Saturday 17th August.

The Welsh ace defends his WBO World Light-Heavyweight title for the sixth time against the steel-fisted Kovalev live and exclusive in the UK on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/Virgin Ch. 546) and in the US on HBO.

Cleverly met with the media at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena today to publicise his titanic clash along with the some of the other fighters on the card and says it will be a night to remember.

De La Hoya: Quillin’s the best middleweight in the division; he destroys everyone

quillin52Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions thinks his champion WBO middleweight belt holder Peter Quillin (29-0, 21 KO’s) is the best fighter in the 160 lb. division right now, and it appears that De La Hoya thinks WBA champion Gennady Golovkin is still unproven.

De La Hoya wants Golovkin to face Quillin’s recent victim former WBO middleweight champion Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam, presumably in some kind of weeding out thing to get to Quillin.

De La Hoya said on his social media site “Hey Kid Chocolate how does it feel to be the best middleweight on the planet. My man Kid Chocolate will destroy any middleweight out there. I wanna see Golovkin vs. Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam and then I’ll see if he’s good or not.”

Floyd Jr. absolutely knows he can beat him when they face each other in two months on September 14th.

Mayweather Sr. said to Hustleboss “My son has fought enough fights to let me know what he sees and what he thinks. There’s no fear in Mayweather; no fear there.”

price455Heavyweight David Price (15-2, 13 KO’s) is at the worst point of his still young career following his 5th round TKO loss to American Tony Thompson (38-3, 26 KO’s) last Saturday night in Liverpool, UK.

A lot of boxing fans are wondering whether Price will hang up the gloves are not, because at this point his future prospects look pretty bleak in terms of accomplishing anything at the world level or making a lot of money. However, Price says he won’t be retiring. He’s going to be continuing and working his back from the bottom.

Haye-Fury bout will be in Manchester, says Peter Fury

fury54 (2)When trainer Peter Fury was asked if the September 28th fight between unbeaten Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) and former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) would be taking place in Manchester, England, Peter said “It will be Manchester.”

That narrows it down quite a bit. Now the only thing that awaits is for Tyson Fury to put pen on paper to make the fight a reality. It’s difficult to believe that Fury is actually going to take the fight because he’s been so selective in his fights since turning pro; turning down the likes of Deontay Wilder and Kubrat Pulev and instead facing guys like Martin Rogan and Vinny Maddalone.
