It has been a while since Manny Pacquiao said anything of substance, or really anything at all. For some time now, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been doing all the talking when it comes to Manny Pacquiao, recently stating:
“Pacquiao’s a has-been, his career is over; (but Juan) Manuel Marquez is a legend (and I commend him).”
Finally, Manny Pacquiao had something to say in response to Floyd’s rant, in defense of his boxing career and abilities in the ring:

LOS ANGELES (July 17, 2013) — Former World Boxing Council (WBC) middleweight champion and Son of the Legend JULIO CÉSAR CHÁVEZ, Jr. returns to the ring in his 2013 debut when he faces No. 1 contender BRYAN “The Warrior” VERA. The Chávez vs. Vera rumble, scheduled for 12 rounds at the super middleweight division, will take place Saturday, September 7, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. This marks the first time Chávez has fought in Los Angeles since June 4, 2011, when he won the world title over undefeated interim world champion Sebastian Zbik.
First off I will start in congratulating Kell Brook on decent performance against a very tough, strong and always game Carson Jones. Even though Kell was fighting at a catch weight of 152 lbs due to injuries preventing him from having a successful training camp he still managed to look good at a weight he is not ready move up to just yet!
Unbeaten Keith Thurman (20-0, 18 KO’s) will be looking to pick up the interim WBA welterweight title this month against Diego Chaves (22-0, 18 KO’s) this month in a fight on July 27th televised by Showtime from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.
