As expected, the new date for Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury’s heavyweight clash dropped today [Fri], although the rescheduled November 28th date now leaves UK broadcaster Sky with a giant PPV headache.
Fury confirmed the news of the new date on his social media accounts, writing;
“GREAT NEWS! Just heard from my team @HennessySports @peterfury that @Klitschko has had the all clear to box on Nov 28 Dusseldorf. #LETSGETITONNNN”

Former three-division world champion Broner (30-2, 22 KOs) returns to his hometown against fellow former world champion Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9 KOs) for the WBA Super Lightweight world title this Saturday, Oct. 3 live on SHOWTIME (10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT) from U.S. Bank Arena.
Both the rescheduled WBO middleweight clash between Andy Lee and Billy Joe Saunders and the massive WBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight clash between Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury, are set to have their new dates revealed very shortly.
The Lee/Saunders fight has been beset with bad luck, suffering two separate postponements – firstly due to a virus suffered by Lee, and then a cut sustained by Saunders in sparring that prompted date and venue shifts from Ireland to England/September to October, and a new date is finally set to be announced on Monday after Saunders was given the all-clear by medics.
It’s been confirmed after weeks of expectation that WBA (reg) middleweight champion Daniel Jacobs will square off against fellow New Yorker, Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin on December 5th at the city’s Barclays Center.
Both fighters are well acquainted with each other being Brooklyn natives in the same division, and their long-time friendly association will go out of the window for one-night only in front of their hometown fans in a fight for Brooklyn bragging rights.
