SHOWTIME Sports will provide live stream coverage of fight week events as unbeaten WBC Middleweight Champion Jermall Charlo returns to his hometown of Houston to face 2018 “The Contender” winner Brandon Adams this Saturday, June 29 live on SHOWTIME from NRG Arena in Houston.
SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT and features hard-hitting super welterweight Erickson “Hammer’’ Lubin taking on French contender Zakaria Attou in a 12-round WBC title elimination bout in the co-main event. Opening the telecast is a WBA featherweight title eliminator between slick Mexican southpaw Eduardo Ramirez and power-punching Dominican Claudio Marrero.

Middleweight World Champion Talks About His Mindset As He Prepares For Battle
Unbeaten WBC Middleweight World Champion Jermall Charlo gives viewers an inside look at how he prepares for a fight and explains his mentality in the moments immediately prior to entering the ring in a new digital offering from SHOWTIME Sports®, JERMALL CHARLO: THE APPROACH.
“The ring walk is everything,” Charlo says. “I’m staying focused but at the same time I’m getting a chance to see my real supporters. This could be your last walk into the ring so I take it serious. When I reach the ropes and I’m able to put my legs through, that’s my territory and I feel where I need to be.”
Charlo, who last fought in Houston in 2012 in just his ninth professional fight, will be headlining in his hometown for the first time on Saturday as he aims to defend his title against Brandon Adams, a fast-rising contender in the 160-pound division.
The SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING telecast will also feature Orlando’s Erickson Lubin measuring against French contender Zakaria Attou in a 12-round super welterweight WBC title elimination bout and slick Mexican southpaw Eduardo Ramirez facing power-punching Dominican Claudio Marrero in a WBA featherweight title eliminator bout to open the telecast.
