The much awaited IBO Lightweight championship of the world fight between Ghana’s Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe and Argentina’s Fernando David Saucedo will now take place on Friday December 2, a week further than the original November 25, its official.

This has become necessary due to a request by the Argentine’s camp for the fight to be re-scheduled after suffering a shoulder injury in training, which has been agreed to by the Ghana based BabyJet Promotions who are staging the fight billed for the newly opened Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.

“We have received communication from Team Saucedo asking for rescheduling of the fight due to a shoulder injury. They have asked for a further seven days so the fight will now have to happen on Friday 2nd December, 2016,” said a statement from BabyJet Promotions this morning.

“This was their request so we had to accede to it. We are assessing the medical report and we will communicate any further information we gather shortly,” the statement added.

Tagoe versus Saucedo is billed to be the first international fight to be staged at the newly built home of Ghanaian boxing, Bukom Boxing Arena on December 2 now of course and has many side attractions including planned performances by leading musicians, Stonebwoy, Becca, Aletse Tinny, Wisa, Jupiter among others.

Gate fees have already been released and it has ringside VIP going for GH¢200 (two hundred Ghana Cedis) and general entrance at GH¢100 (one hundred Ghana Cedis).
