Steve Cunningham backs Tyson Fury to come out victorious against David Haye

jpegFormer IBF cruiserweight king Steve “USS” Cunningham backs Tyson Fury to come out victorious in his domestic heavyweight super fight with David Haye.

Cunningham, who lost to Tyson when they met in the ring in April, is across in Belgium helping the 25-year-old prepare for his crunch clash against the former undisputed cruiserweight world champion and former WBA world heavyweight champion, Haye, on September 28th at the Phones 4 U Arena Manchester, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

“Because I fought the guy and I see his training camp, I can go a little bit further than say; ‘May the best man win’, I believe Tyson’s going to win,” Cunningham said.

“I’m impressed seeing this guy, he’s so big and the work that he’s putting in – you can see that he’s really hungry and he wants this.”

Tyson Fury to use Steve Cunningham as sparring partner to get ready for David Haye

fury11In somewhat of an odd move, heavyweight Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) will be using 37-year-old Steve Cunningham as one of his sparring partners to help him get ready for his September 28th fight against David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) at the Manchester Arena.

Fury defeated Cunningham last April in New York in a 7th round stoppage. Cunningham wasn’t too happy about the loss, because he felt that Fury had partially held him in place with a left hand while landing the knockout punch. There was no rematch to clear up the controversy, and now Fury has moved on to the Haye fight.

Britain’s Got Talent : Tyson Fury vs David Haye

fury565By Fantana: It is a sad state of affairs when Kings are hung, drawn and quartered in front of their own people. Kings who have inspired many nations, even ones like Scotland, to feel good about themselves. Unfortunately Britain lost a king in Audley Harrison recently, obviously due to extremely poor refereeing, but beside Audley there has been undue flak headed Tyson Fury’s way. In my eyes as a boxing purist he has done nothing wrong.

Coming back after being floored by an American to win via devastating clobbering is pretty impressive. It was a performance that Tyson Fury can take pride in, maybe a bit rough around the edges but nevertheless impressive, a bit like a Land Rover. Tyson Fury squashed America’s heavyweight title dream and I believe he is going to do the same thing to Cyprus resident David Haye.

Haye Vs. Fury News – Haye’s Trainer Adam Booth: “10,000 Tickets Sold In Three Hours”

Fury says he’s doing Haye a favor by fighting him

Undefeated Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) seems to think he’s doing former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) by choosing to fight him on September 28th at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK. Fury feels that the 32-year-old Haye didn’t have a lot of options for his next fight until he came along and agreed to fight him.

Tyson Fury signs contract for Haye fight

fury11125-year-old heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) has reportedly signed his portion of the contract to face former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) on September 28th at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. Haye already signed his portion of the contract earlier this week for their mega clash.

Fury said on his twitter: “Have this b**ch, Haye! I’ve signed!”

Fury, #5 WBA, #6 WBO, #11 IBF, is now going to have to find a way to beat the much faster and much stronger Haye. It doesn’t look good for Fury no matter how you look at it. Haye, #1 WBA, #4 WBO, #6 WBC, is the superior fighter in every category you can think of. Haye has the speed, power, mobility, defense and experience going for him.

Fury will win the press conferences; Haye will win fight

fury2222David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) and Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) will be meeting up on September 28th at the Manchester Arena, in Manchester, UK. This Thursday, Haye and Fury will be announcing the fight. The fight itself promises to be a rather easy one for Haye, because Fury hasn’t looked good against the mediocre opposition he’s faced thus during his 5 year pro career.

However, Fury should at least win the press conference this Thursday and all the remaining press conferences as well. Haye will likely let Fury do most of the talking in building this fight, because his chances of getting the better of Fury in the trash talking department are slim and none.

Fury is one of those types of fighters that are willing and ready to say anything. He tends to get heated when his opponents try and trash talk him back.
