After watching heavyweight David Price (15-2, 13 KO’s) gas out and get stopped in the 5th round last Saturday night by Tony Thompson (38-3, 26 KO’s), undefeated Tyson Fury thinks his cousin 18-year-old Hughie Fury (6-0, 4 KO’s) has the skills and the power to defeat Price if he’s open to fighting the 6’6’ Hughie in September. It’s unclear how serious the offer is from Fury, but if it’s a serious one it would be a tremendous test for the inexperienced Hughie.
Tyson Fury said on his social media site: “@hughiefury is ready for Price in September. Hughie would do Price.”
American heavyweight Tony Thompson (38-3, 26 KO’s) destroyed David Price (15-2, 13 KO’s) tonight by a 5th round TKO in Liverpool, England and he may have badly crippled his career in the process. Thompson said he wasn’t surprised that Price was lured into a slugfest with him, because he didn’t think Price’s new trainer Lennox Lewis would be able to make enough changes to his fighting style in one camp to beat him.
Tonight, David Price (15-1, 13 KO’s) will be making his first appearance since being knocked out in the 2nd round by Tony Thompson last February. While a lot of fans commend the 29-year-old Price for having the guts to look for an immediate rematch with Thompson, there are huge question marks about how Price will look in this fight.
Promoter Frank Maloney thinks his fighter heavyweight David Price (15-1, 13 KO’s) has completely learned his lesson from his 2nd round TKO defeat at the hands of Tony Thompson (37-3, 25 KO’s) from last February, and he’s convinced that Price will beat him tonight to avenge that loss at the Echo Arena in London, UK. Maloney and Price see the loss as the end result of Price out too fast looking for a KO last time, and not fully seeing the danger that Thompson represented in that fight. 
Lennox Lewis thinks heavyweight David Price (15-1, 13 KO’s) will avenge his loss to Tony Thompson (37-3, 25 KO’s) tomorrow night and do it in style by knocking the 41-year-old American out in the process at the Echo Arena, in Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom.
#1 WBA, Martin Murray (25-1-1, 11 KO’s) thinks he would give WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (27-0, 24 KO’s) a lot of problems if he were to face him next. Murray feels he’s a cut above the guys that Golovkin has been facing recently, and he thinks he’d give him a really difficult fight. Golovkin’s manager recently contacted Murray’s manager to find out the status of his visa problems in connection with a possible fight in the United States on November 2nd.

Price was already starched by the 6’5” Thompson last February in 2 rounds, and now Price is going for a second shot at the American.
The IBF has ordered IBF/WBA super middleweight champion Carl Froch to defend his IBF title against his mandatory challenger George Groves next, and Froch is debating whether that’s the best direction to take with his career or not. He’s in a position where he can get bigger fights, but he also doesn’t like the idea of losing his IBF title if he chooses not to face Groves next.
