True warrior Timothy Bradley knows perhaps more about Manny Pacquiao than any of Pac Man’s other ring opposition with the exception of Juan Manuel Marquez. Bradley, as fans know, thrice fought Pacquiao, winning the first encounter via hugely controversial decision, losing the other two bouts on the score cards.

Who was the greater fighter: Tyson or Holyfield?
Here on the celebration of Mike Tyson’s 51st birthday – and just two days and 20 years on from the former heavyweight champ’s infamous “Bite Fight” with Evander Holyfield – it might be interesting to ask: who was the greater fighter, Tyson or Holyfield?
Canelo Alvarez very doubtful September clash with GGG goes the full 12 rounds
He’s said it before, and Mexican superstar Saul Canelo Alvarez has repeated how he sees himself stopping middleweight king Gennady Golovkin in their fast-approaching super fight. Talking with TMZ Sports, Canelo said he cannot agree with Bernard Hopkins’ prediction of him beating Triple-G via 12 round decision, because he is “almost certain” the fight will end inside the 12 rounds.
“It’s very difficult for me to agree with Bernard Hopkins’ prediction, because this fight, I don’t see it going 12 rounds,” Canelo said. “ I can almost guarantee, it will not go the 12 rounds. It will end by knockout – yes, without a doubt.”
Bare-Knuckle Boxing show to be held at London’s O2 this weekend; promoter says “It will be as big as MMA in 18 months”
Back in the summer of 1988, “Bible of Boxing” Ring Magazine ran a feature entitled, “Back to bare-knuckles – Maybe it’s worth a try?” The article put forward the notion of bare-knuckle boxing, outlawed since the sport’s change to gloved boxing in 1892, being brought back.
Glenn McCrory on Holyfield-Tyson II
Dubbed, for obvious reasons, “The Bite Fight,” the return meeting between Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson shocked the entire world like no other boxing match in history. Or rather it was the events in the third round, and the subsequent events that followed, that caused the enormous shock.
Twenty years have passed since that incredible night at The MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and no-one who was there has forgotten what happened – even if plenty of them, such as Sky Sports commentator Glenn McCrory, would like to forget.
Jarrell Miller to face Gerald Washington on Garcia-Broner card
The July 29 fight between Mikey Garcia and Adrien Broner is an excellent match-up, but the card just got even better with the addition of the heavyweight match-up that is unbeaten contender Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller against recent WBC title challenger Gerald Washington.
The vocal, entertaining and powerful Miller, 18-0-1(16) has fans talking, wondering just how good the New Yorker really is, and a fight with the once-beaten Washington, 18-1-1(12) might give us a little bit more of an idea. Washington gave WBC heavyweight king Deontay Wilder a decent enough test back in February, doing well until getting caught by something big in round five. Can Miller also stop the 35 year old who came to boxing quite late in life?
Lennox Lewis looks back on the infamous “Bite Fight” – At the time I thought I will never fight him now
Like the rest of the planet, retired heavyweight great Lennox Lewis is simply unable to forget the shocking, sickening scenes the boxing world was unfortunate enough to have endured twenty full years ago today. It was two decades ago today when, as every fight fan, casual observer and even non-sports fans knows, Mike Tyson twice plunged his bared teeth into the ears of Evander Holyfield.
Pacquiao, Roach still hoping for that rematch with Mayweather
It seems a rematch between his fighter Manny Pacquiao and the unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Junior is never far from Freddie Roach’s mind. Out in Australia for this Saturday’s WBO welterweight title fight defence against unbeaten puncher Jeff Horn, Roach and Pac Man have again been talking Mayweather, and a possible (though, it seems to most people, extremely unlikely) rematch.
Guillermo Rigondeaux’s KO over Moises Flores overturned, is now a no decision
As fans may recall, super-bantamweight king Guillermo Rigondeaux left his unbeaten mandatory challenger Moises Flores in a heap after just three minutes of action on the Andre Ward-Sergey Kovalev rematch card in Las Vegas on June 17 – the big left hand that inflicted the damage coming a split second after the bell had sounded to end the opening round of the 122 pound title fight.
The gifted Cuban, often labelled boring and, ironically, incapable of scoring KO’s, denied any intentional wrongdoing, yet Mexico’s Flores claimed otherwise, stating how it is his belief that Rigondeaux waited until he dropped his hands and then lowered the boom. It seems the officials agree with Flores, as the result has been changed, officially yesterday, and the KO win is now in the books as a no decision.
World Boxing Super Series eight-man cruiserweight tournament line-up gets even hotter with addition of KO-King Kudryashov
A while back, it was announced how, in September of this year, an eight-man cruiserweight tournament would take place; with the prestigious Muhammad Ali trophy up for grabs. Almost immediately, three great cruiserweights, reigning world champions no less, signed on for the expected thriller of a tournament.
WBC king Mairis Breidis is in, as is WBA champ Yunier Dorticos, as well as IBF ruler Murat Gassiev. All three champs are undefeated, involved in exciting fights and they can all punch. But to add to the excitement, it has been announced how former champ Krzysztof Wlodarczyk is also set to take part and, perhaps most excitingly of all, KO-King Dmitry Kudryashov has also reportedly signed on.
