Dib really showed some class in his interview at the end of the fight. No excuses, congratulated Gradovich, said he learned. They’ll most likely rematch within a year, then Dib will avenge his loss.

Fight Aficionado

A good action fight and the second world title bout on ESPN2 in two weeks. Great stuff. I’m glad the judges at least had the right guy winning. Gradovich brought the heat and Dib was a game fighter but just couldn’t find a way to deflect the constant pressure.

50 Cent was actually an amateur boxer and competed in the junior Olympics. I watched this fight and I didn’t think it was close. I didn’t give Dib a single round. He looked slow and one dimensional. He kept his hands down and pushed his punches. He threw a few decent punches to the body. Gradovich was landing clean punches throughout the fight. Dib was running and holding. Dib had good footwork. He looks the part, but he can’t deliver punches nor could he get out the way of them. I like Teddy Atlas, but sometimes when he goes into a fight he uses his pre-fight analysis to interfere with his judging in the beginning of fights. He is not the only one. The HBO commentators do this, but they stick with the same biased commentary throughout the fight. Teddy at least got it right when started being obvious by the 4th round.

50cents performance was the worse thing of the night. It was borderline embarrassing but in the end if a couple of his fans tuned in that normally wouldn’t they got a pretty fight to watch. If they become boxing fans it is still a good thing for boxing.

With Teddy, everything is about me,me,me and me. I’m sick of his wannabe tough guy routine. He keeps close company with the sporting world elite and is a blue collar snob. Enough already Teddy. Time to get real with the real fans and stop the worn out metaphors.

nicolas…I agree in what you said about time inbetween fights. But there are a few fighters today not alot but a few, that fight alot more often then the rest.Dib is pretty active overall and when those kind of fighters take alot longer brake it can be very hurtfull. But yes I would like to see a rematch it was a great fun fight for the most part…credit to both these guys.

Teddy needs to get his Latino Boxing Partner back ASAP….

When Teddy Atlas used 50deeCent as his sparring partner to show the pros and cons for the fighters it was hilarious.. fker couldn’t even throw a proper Jab… Looked like Sylvester Stalone on the Contender show trying to show the Contender fighters some Boxing moves…

50deeeCents looks as out of place and idiotic in Boxing as Floyd Mayweather and Broner look trying to be Rappers… Bottom line is 50deeCents needs to get the fk out of Boxing and Floyd and Broner need to stay away from the Rap Music industry…

Dib was out of the ring for 7 or 8 months to long of a lay off. That time off really hurt him…it was a great fight.A rematch would be fun.
