Broner will beat Pac

Posted December 4, 2012 3:30 am

Broner can actually challenge Pacquiao because he has youth on his side. However, Pacquiao, even if he is on his way down the hill can actually mess-up Broner’s confidence. One or two more fights at that level for Broner before talking Pacquiao would be good for him.

Stupid loser

Broner may have a lot of similarities to PBF but one thing is for certain, he is for real in the ring. He is much more offense minded then PBF and brings much more excitement then his idol. Not sure he is ready for Pacman but I will be happy to tune in if it did happen.

REM………… floyd has won every figh hes been in. Can Pac say the same?

Posted November 29, 2012 1:05 pm

Anonymous then who is huh if Floyd took u his tampon out of his coochie u would’ve seen Pac crush and cripple his opponents over the course of his career.

Posted November 28, 2012 1:19 pm

He needs to work his way up. That being said, it is a fight he can win once getting up in weight. He’s an extremely skilled fighter. He does need to work on that defense. Can’t be taking 30+% of shots thrown against Pac.

Lol easy there Broner u certainly have the talent to be a “problem” for anyone around ur weight but test the power of Mattysee, Garcia and Guerrero before facing the most destructive force p4p in boxing.

“Manny Pacquiao is a jail hardened beast of a fighter who hurts EVERY guy he faces to some extent.”

Not much of an extent with Tim Bradley. Bradley left the ring with Pac looking like he entered it — unmarked. I’d love to see Broner vs Pac. At the very least Pac would have his hands full… I think Broner could beat him.

de leon didn’t really do much damage, broner was whooping on him 4th 5th and 6th round, did ponce de leon out work him? yes at stretches but the cleaner shots and the more impactful punches came from broner , andddddd i would like to say broner is twice the fighter now then he was then. He didn’t fight with no urgency or any ring intelligence in that fight, 5 fights later you see he has become a problem.

Fight Aficionado

Correction: He was slurping Berto’s nuts all the way. He is riding Broner’s jock now though. Soon he’ll say, “Broner’s like Mayweather with a punch! Der de der!”

Fight Aficionado

Look at that bug eyed moron Kellerman. He was slurping Broner’s nuts all the way even while Guerrero punched his face in. Berto was an HBO house fighter since day 1 and their bias was evident from his early pro days. Kellerman didn’t even try to disguise it. He’s a hack.

really tired of guys winning a few fights and challenging Pac or May……beat Bradley or someone of consequence first then make a statement

Posted November 27, 2012 12:14 pm

Broner is a talent for the next generation but Manny Pacquiao is a jail hardened beast of a fighter who hurts EVERY guy he faces to some extent… Broner has Ponce De Leon, and Demarco at 135 would not ready him for Manny at 140 and certainly not 147…I admire Broner for wanting to make mega-bucks but he would be in over his head at this point… Book some wins at 140 then we can better gauge his ability to compete with Pac Man…

EXACTLY…it is what it is. GBP doesnt make that many fights with Top Rank and Mayweather hasnt fought an opponent from Top Rank’s stable since he left Arum some 8 years ago. Why do you think Cotto-Mayweather didnt happen until Cotto;s contract with Top Rank ended?! Its a business at the end of the day.

Posted November 27, 2012 11:04 am

Well of course he wants Pac who the heck comes up with this crap. Hell I want Pac too for a big pay day you guys need to come up with better things to write about. If he wants his ass handed to him this would be a good time to do it. He should fight Pac this would be a humble experience for him. Too many think that Pac is washed up including Fat Broner I want to see this fight just to see him get his second loss. Broner lost against Ponce anouther lefty with less power. Cant imagine how he escapes from a much more power punching Pac

The Kingslayer

We do people even waste their energy debating about fights between Top Rank and Golden Boy fighters ? they won’t be made untill Bob Arum steps down.

Posted November 27, 2012 9:21 am

Takes two to fight. Dont see pacman saying yes to the fight.

Posted November 27, 2012 9:04 am

I have a feeling the manny era is gonna end on DEC 8…I think Marquez finally beats him this time.

Posted November 27, 2012 4:37 am

lay down the crackpipe, fool … manny would ass-rape yer boy.

Posted November 27, 2012 3:50 am

Kellerman sucks get rid of him ASAP. As for Broner I think Paq might be to strong for him. Its to early for Broner

Posted November 27, 2012 1:19 am

Brick city

Some of you cats kill me, Broner has a style like Floyd yes and he’s very good at it. It’s called natural talent. And nobody knows why Floyd won’t fight PAC so stop the speculation!!

Posted November 27, 2012 12:02 am

Yeah! Broner vs Pac, that’s even better. =]

Posted November 26, 2012 11:23 pm

El .Viagra

HBO ,,get rid of Max Kellerman as soon as possible ,before you lose all dignity ..

Posted November 26, 2012 10:19 pm

If Floyd won’t fight, why not the clone??? This fight would be the best alternative to a Pacquiao-Mayweather. Forget the Rios, Guerreros, Bradleys… Broner might be a mouthpiece but he showcases real skill. He’ll get killed…but that’s besides the point! Broner-Marquez would also be a good fight.

Posted November 26, 2012 8:54 pm

I think broner outside the ring is to flashy but if the guys willing to step up and take on any welter weight he should be given credit and will be a plus for boxing. esp in a time where many of the guys who the public really want to see fight just wont step in the ring together for one reason or another

Posted November 26, 2012 8:11 pm

If you believe everything you read online…..then you’re in luck, ’cause I have some yellowcake uranium I’d like to sell.

Posted November 26, 2012 6:13 pm

You can’t believe anyone really…unless you heard it first. Camps talk ish ALL DAY’s always “we agreed, they didn’t< "we called him out, but they declined"…and blah blah blah!

Posted November 26, 2012 6:11 pm

Boxtradamus – I’d try to be better than the best.

Posted November 26, 2012 6:09 pm

Maybe you didn’t follow it long enough. Broner DID return the favor. He SAID that he would move UP to Welter and beat Guerrero in FACT he SAID that he’d beat him at ANY weight but his team must have advised him to do otherwise.

Posted November 26, 2012 5:47 pm

E in Denver

Coattail riding. These are just promotional gimmicks. “Call out” guys who are established stars to get more ink. Even easier if you know it won’t happen. Guerrero is doing the same thing w/ using Jr’s name. Jr did the same thing for years w/ DLH & look where he is now. It works if you can back it. Guerrero was just calling out Broner(a more feasible match up). Why didn’t Broner return the favor? These guys are in the same stable.

Posted November 26, 2012 5:42 pm

Right now, Marquez will beat Broner, but Manny will KO him All that shoulder roll hype will not work with a powerful leftie like Manny. Even a conventional fighter like Guerrero, made Berto’s face into a hamburger and Guerrero is not Marquez, much less when compared to Manny. This is one of the reasons Floyd will never fight Pac.

Posted November 26, 2012 5:29 pm

broner burns would be a big mistake for ricky with his upright style he would probably be koed ,burns has got talent but this broner is very good whers as burns is good at a certain level just below true world class put ricky in with a marquez or broner he gets beat

Posted November 26, 2012 5:11 pm

And actually Broner has never SAID that he was trying to be Mayweather. He has SAID that he studied Mayweather and implemented some things that he learned from him. But he has always SAID that his goal was to be BETTER than Mayweather. And that’s what his goal SHOULD be. Just as Kobe Bryant always SAID that his goal was to be BETTER than Jordan….even IF you fall short of that goal you will have surpassed all of your PEERS.

Posted November 26, 2012 4:59 pm

“IMO, nothing’s worst than trying to be someone else”-Well that’s YOUR opinion and you’re WELCOME to it. IMO there’s nothing worse than not trying to be the BEST. And IF you’re trying to emulate Mayweather then you’re trying to be the BEST. I’m OK with that. Its BETTER than trying to be Zab Judah.

Posted November 26, 2012 4:54 pm

curtley-You need to educate yourself on the Sport of Boxing. What do you mean Floyd hasn’t had the opposition to get anywhere near the ATG’s???? NO. The ATG’s don’t have the opposition to get anywhere near Floyd. Floyd has fought a HIGH level of opposition more consistently than ANYONE in the ENTIRE History of Boxing…He just beat 9 CHAMPS in his last 10 Fights. WOW!!! No one even comes CLOSE to that.

Posted November 26, 2012 4:52 pm

Mick the Marmalizer

The only fight that matters @ 135Lb is Broner/Burns!

Posted November 26, 2012 4:30 pm

Posted November 26, 2012 4:04 pm

Boxtradamus – Well if he’s choosing to be the “next” Mayweather instead of the 1st Broner…then that’s on him! IMO, nothing’s worst than trying to be someone else.

Posted November 26, 2012 4:03 pm

Did you say the greatest boxer ever, sure Floyd is an excellent even exquisite boxer but nowhere near the best ever he just hasn’t had the oposition or number of fights to get anywhere near the true ATG’s

Posted November 26, 2012 4:01 pm

“This cat is trying so hard to be like Floyd…it’s pitiful.”-Yeah….for his opponents. He chose the GREATEST Boxer to ever live to try to emulate. He couldn’t have made a BETTER choice.

Posted November 26, 2012 3:58 pm

Broner would be SO amped for this that he would train twice as hard and improve at twice the speed of LIGHTNING. Broner may pull off the upset….IF this Fight were to happen of course which it won’t.

Posted November 26, 2012 3:56 pm

This cat is trying so hard to be like Floyd…it’s pitiful.

Posted November 26, 2012 3:53 pm

Too much risk for Pacquiao. The Fight will not be made. It would be a GREAT tune up for Mayweather though.

Posted November 26, 2012 3:43 pm

swamp gas

broner has massive potential, but Pac doesn’t need to face the young lions now. it would draw fans, make money, but risk sullying the Pacman’s limited
shelf life dramatically.

Posted November 26, 2012 3:41 pm

he wil get hurt is wha im saying.

Posted November 26, 2012 3:41 pm

LOL!!!! LOL!!! LOL!!!! …Ahhhh NO!! Now it’s De La Hoya’s turn to protect his money cow…. Bob Arum will not give up on HIS money cow either.. This will not happen unless Broner beats up on the best of the best..then MAAAAAAAAAAAAYBE…. aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh that gave me a good laugh!!!. JUST SAYIN’

Posted November 26, 2012 3:32 pm

he should fight one more at lightweight, 3 fights at light welter and then he’s ready 4 the welterweights. He is young and should just take his time and naturally progress not be in a desperate rush.
