Like you have a really high IQ shlt-for-brains.

Rodriquez tried a roughhouse style fight. He didn’t try to box, which he needed to do.. He used Conte supplements and an oxygen chamber.. both horrid ideas.. Then he didn’t do the weight making right.. His whole camp and effort was dismal and they had the wrong strategy.. I posted as much before the fight. He fought his worst fight.

I told them they were headed for disaster with that garbage.. Before the fight I posted that Edwin wasn’t ready and would likely get out boxed every round.

LOL at the insane TARK!

Posted August 11, 2014 6:04 pm

Edwin WAS the best boxer Ward met… but he didn’t box.

Posted August 11, 2014 5:48 pm

TARK, you mong!

You wrote several times that Andre Ward had never met a guy with the boxing skills of La Bamba, before Ward coming off a lengthy layoff took him to school for every second of the fight.

Tark, please don’t lie again.
Please don’t make me trawl through your old posts and OUT you in a worse way than Frank Maloney got outed.

You are a pathological liar who lies through his false teeth time and time again.

Next you will try and lie about how great you thought Austin Trout was because he beat Miguel Cotto, when lots of posters questioned his lack of quality opposition before he took on Canelo.

The word TARK is now in the dictionary synonymous with LIAR!

LIAR, LIAR, TARK’S diapers are on fire!

Tark.Did you ever work with Max kellerwank.

Lionhard/Sredmond…, This was not a post about Floyd, who I’ve often said was the best candidate in Boxing History for GOAT — but who is currently ducking his toughest opponents and fighting the most hittable guys he can get away with.

This was a post about how David Haye compares to Ali as a boxer-puncher…

Haye certainly appears to have more physical strength and punching power… He certainly appears to have a better body attack and infighting skills… He certainly appears to have better defensive skills…

Haye’s conditioning and strength for the Dereck Chisora fight appeared to be top notch. He certainly looked brilliant defensively.

Ali’s conditioning for Ken Norton looked less than stellar. He got his jaw broken. He looked soft. He seemed slow. He seemed none to sharp … and he got his ass beaten.

Ali was the same age for Norton as Haye was for Chisora, so it makes for a good comparison.

David Haye and Muhammad Ali are two boxers who won the Heavyweight Championship. They were roughly the same size.. 6’3″ X 200-220

Haye lost his title to 6’7″ X 250 ATG Heavyweight Wladimir Klitschko by decision.. Haye gave up almost 40lbs, but won rounds off Klitschko.

Wladimir Klitschko has been undefeated for 10 years, has a record of 62-3.. He is going for a record number of Heavyweight Title defenses — and he’s getting very close.

Ali lost his title to Leon Spinks, a 197-pound boxer with a 6-0-1 record.. Spinks never managed to beat another top heavyweight other than Ali..

Spinks was easy to hit and was bombed out by guys you never heard of… Leon lost 17 fights and was knocked out 9 times.

Ali was easy to hit with big looping punches…especially left hooks… Ali is suffering from the effects of getting hit too much.. David Haye is very difficult to hit and Sugar Ray Leonard called him a “brilliant defender” commentating on on Haye-Chisora.

Ali was not considered a hard puncher… David Haye IS considered a VERY hard puncher.. Nobody has been able to KO Chisora but Haye.

Ali had no body attack.. Haye has a strong body attack.

Ali showed up for some fights fat and out-of-shape.. David Haye trains harder than any other heavyweight – and never shows up fat or out-of-shape.

That’s pretty much a full comparison.

I have no idea who Floyd will face if he gets by Maidana, but good to know you will give him props if he faces and defeats Porter and or Thurman or Pac.

Personally, I think Khan is crap and I would prefer to see him rematch Danny Garcia.

Sad truth is boxing is now a business and the fighters don’t seem to care if they never fight each other.

TV companies are like gyms these days. They want your money up front and could care less if you actually use it.

No one hates Tark behind his back. We hate this loser to his face. He’s full of it and most of it is b.s.

Posted August 10, 2014 8:21 am

Tark – before you make any calls, first you’d have to make a public apology for mentioning the “Toejammer” in the same sentence as The GREATEST.

Posted August 10, 2014 8:14 am

So I call for Floyd to fight Pacquiao, Porter, or Thurman — instead of Khan or Maidana — and I’m hating on him???

LOL… You’re a brain dead dingleberry.

“Tark is at it again!!!!!!!

Roy Jones Jnr

BUT, Tark lavishes praise on Porter, Brook, Lara, Trout and La Bamba as master boxers!!!!!!!!

You couldn’t make it up, even if you tried!”

TARK is a retarded loser, no wonder everyone hates him behind his back.

Posted August 9, 2014 7:32 pm

Q asks.., “Tark, what would you say then if Floyd and Porter win their next fights and Mayweather takes on and defeats Porter?”

I would say Floyd’s legacy is assured… But I have to see him take a risky fight like that… It would amaze me if he fought Porter.

If he fought Thurman or Pacquiao in his last fight it would be even better … but dream on.

Floyd wants to keep that “O” so it will be Khan and TBA.

Posted August 9, 2014 5:58 pm

Tark, what would you say then if Floyd and Porter win their next fights and Mayweather takes on and defeats Porter? I know. You will insist he fights Thurman, then insist he fights Manny or Lara.
Why are you giving Manny a pass when he fought Rios and now Algeiri and then no doubt another Jnr welter next. You gotta be consistent with your FINGER POINTING or leave your finger back in your pants!

Posted August 9, 2014 5:14 pm

Sredmond/Anonymous.., I don’t hate on Mayweather. Obviously his accomplishments rank him as the GOAT in many people’s eyes.

However… just because he’s a great fighter doesn’t give him a automatic pass for ducking any opponent who has a fair chance to kick his ass in.

That’s what he’s done… No Pacquiao.. no Porter.. no Thuman.. no Brook — let’s only consider punchable guys like Maidana and Khan.

He’s not the only ATG who ducked the best… but he’s made a science of it.

If Porter can beat Brook, I believe the heat will be on for Floyd to finally face a legitimate threat.

Posted August 9, 2014 1:07 pm

Porter wins this by controversial stoppage.

PROTIP: Save time here by ignoring any posts from SREDMOND, as the message is only ever ‘Floyd is great because {insert flawed reasoning}’, regardless of which fight the thread is related to.

Brook will stop porter by 7th round!!!!!

Posted August 9, 2014 3:53 am

As May is single handedly holding up the sport, Sredmund, will you also stop paying attention and stop following boxing and retire when May does? I can imagine quite a euphoria if so. It would on the other hand be highly hypocritical if you stuck around after such a statement. Or you may choose to keep stalking and slurping after a new boxer on the block…and who may that be? An Eastern European would make a nice change for you. Plenty of good ones around.

“Porter lacks fans ”

Doesn’t matter. Showtime has to pay Floyd a minimum of $32 million ridiculous for every fight. If Showtime, GBP, and Mayweather want the world to know who Porter is and they want fans to buy Mayweather’s PPV fights, they can sell them–no matter who Floyd is facing.

Posted August 8, 2014 3:35 pm

SREDMOND, that a funny prospective. that a New dimension of viewing floyd fighting for his life. Reality? Desperate and wide eyed comes to mind. round 2 prove it, fail?
He ordinary, and khan and porter GGG are proven avoided and better fighters.

Posted August 8, 2014 3:19 pm

What Mephisto fails to mention is that they don’t just stop at their English cousins. Kell wins. Khan next, then Mayweather comes to Hillsborough Leisure centre!

Posted August 8, 2014 1:10 pm

Sredmond.., “Mayweather having a tough night against Maidana just showed ANOTHER dimension that Floyd has “underrated toughness” he showed it against Cotto and Mosley as well.. EVERY new guy looking good taking a Malginaggi sort suddenly is “The guy to dethrone Mayweather”

Shawn Porter beat Devon Alexander with ease… Alexander beat Marcos Maidana with ease … and now Porter is fighting one of the toughest, undefeated, and most skilled boxer-punchers in the division.

Floyd fights losers and is praying Porter-Brook is a draw, or calls for a rematch.

Posted August 8, 2014 1:07 pm

NOT if there is a bigger $$$$ fight on the table, Floyd has 2 left on this contract and they have to pay him big… Porter lacks fans I have no issue seeing him fight FMJ but business reality dictates the next bout needs to be against a guy with some fanbase…

Posted August 8, 2014 12:15 pm

If porter wins by ko that’s what’s I’m predicting he should get a shot at mayweather

Posted August 8, 2014 11:46 am

Yea, your thesis is SUPER HOLLOW…. Mayweather has NEVER had his “nuts eaten” by anyone and the idea that Shawn Porter is specially equipped to do it makes me laugh.. Porter has looked AVERAGE in the past against guys that were not the biggest deals… Mayweather having a tough night against Maidana just showed ANOTHER dimension that Floyd has “underrated toughness” he showed it against Cotto and Mosley as well.. EVERY new guy looking good taking a Malginaggi sort suddenly is “The guy to dethrone Mayweather” Floyd might get beat but it will be time that does the job as much as the fighter in the ring… He is 38 in Feb and still has a stranglehold on the sport… Tell Porter to keep winning and get himself in position to take out Floyd… I heard this SAME trash with Canelo and look how Money May treated him? not a scratch..

Posted August 8, 2014 10:49 am

Can’t say much only seen limited video of both. Looks to me though P will be getting off first, and then can counter Bs counters due to Bs sloppy defense and low hands. I will watch to see B on occasions pound P and see how P responds. Great to see the focus on the young guns not the old bums.

Close fight to call,Porters experience gives him an edge, but Brook is much better than he looks, very accurate, with heavy hands. The only worries I have is if the judges like Porters activity over Kell’s more sparing, cleaner, heavier shots. If Porter walks thru Brooks shots and stops Brook with power shots, you’ll know he’s been Balco’d

SREDMOND,porter has a 147 belt. He got that belt beating distriying Alexander who beat up maidana with a ud decision . Floyd never fought Alex . Floyd can even get pass maidana clean. Khan did drop maidana too.
Porter would eat Floyd nuts and castrate him. But Floyd will not fight him. Duck man .ducks again, 3 fight left

Porter by a razor thin SD
Special K is no joke and if Porter is not in shape then the SD could go to Special K

Sredmond why would people want to fight the piggy bank? 1.5 mill isn’t the biggest payday going around. Fighting manny gets 1.5

Posted August 7, 2014 5:46 pm

Porter in on his way his next fight needs to be big he dismantled Paule not lets see what he does to Brooks. I loke to see him with Thurman or Broner next.

Posted August 7, 2014 5:28 pm

T.J……. Yeh I enjoyed it. We were there for 2 weeks. Trained twice, boxed 3 rounds, then ate crap and went jet skiing, and bummed around. It was supposed to b a training holiday!! I was only at finchley for just over a year, spent a couple years at st Albans abc, 6 months at cheshunt, and visited bushey regularly for sparring. Then along came work and women, and that was my boxing career!

Posted August 7, 2014 5:15 pm

I don’t really know brook never seen him fight but I hear he’s good I know porter is really good buy don’t sleep on the guys you don’t know

Posted August 7, 2014 5:01 pm

Cheers Junior. I thought you meant the Heavyweight guy. I hope you enjoyed the experience and btw Finchley ABC is a decent amateur boxing club.

Posted August 7, 2014 4:37 pm

This is going to be a easy win for Porter Brook has never been hit like he is going to be hit Saturday night. Porter wins by KO in the 8th round.

Posted August 7, 2014 4:34 pm

“by the time he steps into the ring to fight Shawn Porter he will have been in training camp for 16 weeks.”

not good for brook — that’s too damned long.

unless you have a fight in between and just keep going without a break. that can work if you vary your routine a lot.

you can get stale in 13 weeks. 16 weeks is mind numbing.

Posted August 7, 2014 4:25 pm

Khan didn’t school Brook in sparring. Brook wants to fight Khan more than anyone

Brook is certain he would knock Khan out… Khan turned down a 5 million dollar payday to fight Brook—which would be a bigger domestic clash than Froch-Groves… EVERY FAN WORLDWIDE would love to see Brook-Khan…

Just like everyone would love to see May-Pac except for protective Floydiots.

Brook has a puncher’s chance… His skills are getting a lot sharper and he has a natural killer instinct… I just feel Porter is too ready… He’s been ready to plant his flag since his Alexander fight was announced – but he really stepped it up versus Malignaggi.

It was very important for Shawn to be the 1st guy to SHlTCAN Paulie early.

Posted August 7, 2014 4:07 pm

Between making 105 million in a year and pretty much carrying the sport on his back all Floyd has time to do is worry about Shawn Porter who just KOed Malignaggi with 7 losses… SNOREEEEEEEEEEEE!! Meanwhile every fighter from 140-168 wants a crack at the piggy bank…

Posted August 7, 2014 4:04 pm

I wonder how many of your prophets would have predicted a porter ko before the malignaggi fight. My guess is none.

Posted August 7, 2014 4:04 pm

Whoever wins this fight might get the garcia or mayweather fight. My opinion porter will Ko brook within 6 rounds

Posted August 7, 2014 3:55 pm

I can remember Danny murphy lost, think mehmet mehmet won, I won, bradley skeete and charlie hoy were both supposed to come but both pulled out a week before with injuries.
Grant Skehil got KOd clean in the 2nd round, he folded in half and his knees hit his head. Lol. Cant think who else boxed

Posted August 7, 2014 3:37 pm

And before anyone pipes up, NO it was not a tag team match! Lol.

Posted August 7, 2014 3:17 pm

TJ, no mate was definitely jeremy Estrada. It was an amateur bout. I was only 16. There was 6 of us from Finchley against 6 boys from Barrys

Posted August 7, 2014 3:16 pm

Game over for kelly Brook.

Posted August 7, 2014 2:53 pm

JUNIOR, I think you mean Jason BIG SIX Estrada who boxed both Tomas Adamek and Alexander Povetkin a few years back. I kept thinking his name was Bigfoot, but it’s Big Six… They’ve shown a few of his fights in UK.
Did you get to spar with him?

Posted August 7, 2014 2:50 pm

“That a good enough explanation for you fella?”

Yep. As my post indicated I was wondering why you mentioned training at that gym

Posted August 7, 2014 2:41 pm

This is the best fight in a long time at welterweight. If Porter wins, I don’t see how Floyd can avoid him.

Posted August 7, 2014 2:30 pm

Mike Tyson

I also love how porter release a tube of him training and showing him working the body hard, get into brook head a bit. porter can dig to the body very well too.

Posted August 7, 2014 2:28 pm

Mike Tyson

I been filling porter about 8 years or more. He use to fight at 164 lb and has over 200 fight at that weight in the amateurs. He enter state and Country contest. And has more awards years after years. And he lost a lot of weight and settle at 147 lb where he pick up more speed and still has his old power too. Floyd would not fight him . As he train by Abe chevez who was terry Norris trainer. Same style as norris. And you know terry blew sugar ray away. Just to busy and could not get his counter on terry. He a boxer worst nightmare.

Posted August 7, 2014 2:12 pm

Mike Tyson

Just watch a other porter and brook tube.orter will run over brooks. As I first said he was a boring boxer. After watching again, not only that but he twice as slow as porter, and to make matters worse he has a bad habit of dropping that left hand at tit level every time after throwing. He dead open on his right side.
Really has no defense close to Martinez, on the other hand porter attack is 3-5 punch combo and blocking or bucking the counter punch and hitting back.
He does this all night, He grifter and can see the punch comming.
Sorry brooks don’t think you see 5 round. Too open.

Posted August 7, 2014 1:58 pm

@ Rapid – were you at the brook v khan sparring session were you?

Figure Porter wins a UD. Interesting he’s working with Conte given Brook’s gripes about no out of comp PED testing.

Porter by late KO. If Amir Khan was able to school Brook in sparring(even though sparring is just development..but it still counts because you see some of their habits they use in the ring) then I’m sure Porter can get him outta there. Brook seems to have a lot of wholesale in his defense especially when he gets tired. Look for Porter to close the show with his relentless but methodical pressure by the 9th maybe 10th round.

Now he ducks drug testing… wtf BRUH … suspect as hell.
very likely to be a drug cheat

@Hibdeebibdee……. I was just happy to see these guys done the media workouts at Barrys gym, a gym where i had boxed at on one of my visits to the U.S.
That a good enough explanation for you fella?

Posted August 7, 2014 11:02 am

I think Porter wins in a great fight.

I’d actually like Brook to win, but feel he has not been tested at the very top, and has spent to much time getting to the level he is at now.

Posted August 7, 2014 10:29 am

Should be a good fight between two top, up and coming guys, but Porter just looks like the truth.

Posted August 7, 2014 10:22 am

Sticking with Porter to beat Brooks. Porter has faced the better comp.

Posted August 7, 2014 10:01 am

Brook will land but I think he will also eat some, just depends how much. Its a step and will tell us all that we need to know about him. I think it goes deep into the fight. No idea who takes it as Brook is still trying to show where his standing is, interesting. rooting for Brook.

Neil (pomy)

It is a tough contest to call. The fact that Brooks has not mixed it at world class level as yet gives the edge to Porter.

Should be a good brutal fight but If Kell is 100% fit and focused he beats Porter by taking a lateral step back as Porter bounds in and nails him with punishing right counter crosses and hard jabs, Porter will get discouraged and wilt, Brook too big and has got a nasty streak, could get interesting though if Porter can land some of those superman type punches.

Posted August 7, 2014 6:24 am

Kell Brook will win by KO between rounds 6 – 9 Porters up against a very avoided fighter whos waited far to long for his chance Khan will be his next fight

Posted August 7, 2014 5:23 am

Brook all night long Porter is seriously overrated

Posted August 7, 2014 5:17 am

The Truth.

Brook should take this. If I was his coach, I will ask him to exploit Porter’s wide stance. Left hook, hard right hand all night, lose him with the legs, when he rushes in.. stay off the ropes, duck low and counter. Jab loads. My money is on Brook.
