Callum would take Rocky apart. It wouldn’t last 6 rounds.

It’s apparent that Paul Smith will relinquish the Lonsdale belt if he gets a shot at Arthur Abraham’s WBO title, so how about the BBBofC sanctioning Callum vs Rocky Fielding for the vacant British title? It could well be fight of the year!

Hey, Mick

Paul Smith suggested this when he was at ringside commentating on Rocky Fielding coming in overweight at his las fight. He suggested he wanted to chase world honours and that it may be well his brother Callum to get the opportunity to race Rocky and keep the belt within the Smith family!

Is Lee Selby going to vacate the British & EBU championship’s or defend against Commonwealth titlist Terry Flannigan?

Interesting head in the chest infighring from Cleverly,

Did’nt get much from the fight, other than Cleverly looked strong at the weight, and judging from his corner how important a win was for his confidence.
Hopefully he will rack up a couple more quick fights and then focus on expanding his gameplan.

Callum Smith has massive potential, I’ve been saying for 18 months he’s got the goods to be one of the best in the world, but having watched his fight last night I see weaknesses in his game. He has poor head movement, and was too easy to hit. His legs look skinny, like Hearns, he needs to put more muscle on his legs, this will help with his balance and movement first and foremost and will enhance his punch power. Callum didn’t use distance and his jab as well as he could of, he wanted to get in there and mix it, that’s fine against that class of opponent, but when he fights the top guys he’ll come unstuck. Callum boxes at his best from long range, particularly from behind his fast jab, (although his hand speed was a little slower than when I last saw him fight) but when he perfects that pure boxing style, he’ll be almost impossible to beat. Callum Smith has the potential to be the best SMW in the world in a couple of years time, but there are obvious weakness that I outlined above that he needs to work hard on if he wants to be the best. Good luck Callum you have the potential to be one of the best boxers in the world.

Cleverly is repeating his light heavy formula at cruiser. Beat up nobodies, close decision with Bellew, destroyed by elite, rebuild, repeat.

@Mick the……..I was just goona say the same thing, what a fight I had to watch “that” round 4 times before I let it play on, how did Dickinson keep getting up and rally back like he did? Fooking awesome! And I think it was a perfect stoppage Clarkson’s face was looking real bad and fighters are to brave for their own good and need protecting. Look forward to their rematch next year some time. Gotta say it again Mick, WHAT A FOOKING FIGHT!!!!

cleverely wailing away square on again. he needs to reqork his style if he wants to win at the next level

Sorry to say but I think cleverly is an accident waiting to happen. The moment a decent punch lands on him he’ll freeze.. The guy has no heart

Did anyone see the Dickinson/Clarkson fight? What a tear up! :-). Pity the ref jumped in too quickly. :-(

I just posted my 1st post of the day & ESB reckon I’m posting too quickly again. What are they on?

selby looked very classy at times and the mexican and his corner were very frustrated that he would not be drawn into a tear up, he let his guard and concentration slip a couple of times which could be bad news against better opposition. Clevery did a fine job on decent opposition and imo will destroy bellew if they meet again as bellew didn’t seem like he’s carried a lot of power up to CW whereas Cleverly looks a lot stronger and bigger than bellew, as usual bellew spouted hot air after the fight but his face told a different story, don’t think he fancies that fight as much as he did before hand. callum smith is the real deal next big thing in SMW division.
