Well, Shumenov is a decent fight but pretty much a straight forward pressure fighter with average power. Easier to beat than Kovalev or Stevenson who have sleeper KO power. So this fight will likely happen but unless Bhop steps up to the two big shadows in the room I’ll presume he’s gone into cherry picking mode.Posted December 27, 2013 9:44 pm

Erlangdon – спасибо за подсказку . Я посмотрел бой Шуменов Кампильо.
If it’s as interesting as Hopkins last fight and actually has some sustained action this might turn out to be a decent scrap. Hopkins isn’t going away until someone makes him go away. I’m not sure Shumenov is the man to do it, but we’ll find out.Posted December 27, 2013 12:57 pm
Kovalev was Hopkins’ mandatory, but refused to fight him…………..so Kovalev had to go to Cleverly’s home town, knock him out for the WBO title. Hopkins said that he will never fight Kovalev or Stevenson.
SOB Ward refuses to even answer Stevenson’s challenge, even if Stevenson comes down to 168. Ward will not fight anywhere except his home turf with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc.Posted December 27, 2013 2:25 am

I hope we will see Beibut Shumenov (WBA champ) fight in a world title unification match against either Bernard Hopkins (IBF champ), Adonis Stevenson (Lineal/WBC champ) or Sergey Kovalev (WBO champ)
I feel we can have a unification match happen with legend Bernard Hopkins vs. Beibut Shumenov now when they are both under the Golden Boy Promotion banner if both fighters are interested BUT I can understand if the soon 49 year old boxing legend and 4-time boxing world champion Bernard “The Executioner” Hopkins is not motivated to fight a fighter with a fare low known name in the boxing world and could just be considered a more risk and low reward for the old legend.
However I wan’t a unification anyway and I will support Adonis Stevenson next after Hopkins to take all belts home if it all happens.Posted December 26, 2013 8:46 pm
Shumenov is tougher then people realize. He is the real deal.Posted December 26, 2013 7:57 pm
Well,Campillo was robbed…Shumanov has made a few defences so hes made some good money welldone. Its all about the money.Boxers should think like promoters.Shumanov management team are ,were smart..few fight then world title and make money.Feel bad for Campillo, gone down the ratings, sad. He is still good top 10 fighter.Posted December 26, 2013 7:49 pm
Watch the fight with Campillo and you’ll see that he was robbed blind. Beibut got a gift decision in that match and was wobbled numerous times against the light hitting Spaniard.Posted December 26, 2013 5:18 pm
Шуменов в последнем бою дрался с боксером , который находится в рейтенге намного дальше 100.
I want to see him defend against a real world class opponent that can punch also.Kovacs obviously fought tomato cans.Posted December 26, 2013 4:48 pm
With the powerful forces of Kovalev, Stevenson and Shumenov at 1,2, and 3. It really makes Hopkins look old and feeble sitting at No.4. Hopkins should retire now after a good, long and wealthy career. He will truly embarrass or hurt himself fighting these other guys.Posted December 26, 2013 4:45 pm
old hopkins might get rid of himPosted December 26, 2013 4:28 pm
