You’re right his best weight was welter, but still rated highly at the next weight up.

Posted October 17, 2013 1:03 am

Golovkin is a lot better middleweight than Sugar Ray Robinson.. Robinson’s best weight was 147.. Ray lost a lot of middleweight fights to slow maulers and brawlers.

Ralph Jones lost five (5) fights straight just before he was cherry-picked to fight Sugar Ray Robinson… But he still beat the trash out of Robinson every round..

Golovkin would had knocked Jones out in 3 rounds or less.

Sure he’s 31, but he doesn’t look it, he’s a very young looking 31 year old. He is not shop worn, he averages just over three rounds a fight, has never been in an all out war that has seen him damaged badly.
Who has he fought? anyone that has the guts to get in a ring with him.
We have a guy giving up a belt to avoid him, and Martinez isn’t going anywhere near him. Sturm, Barker, Quillin et al aren’t exactly jumping at the chance to fight him.
Sanchez, reckons he’s the best middleweight since Sugar Ray Robinson, that’s one helluva statement to make, that’s a little more than just boosting his fighters confidence, he’s probably right.
So step up guys Gennady’s waiting for you.
Kudos to Stevens, enjoy GGG while you can, a class act both in and out of the ring.

GGG will never be rated or be as good as Chavez. His 31yrs old and still has not faught anybody. Rigo is rated on P4P with 12 fights, Lomachenko is getting his title shot with less fights. Thats what great amateurs get.

Posted October 15, 2013 3:59 am

When Golovkin KO’s Stevens you’ll hear him issue challenges… You might even hear GGG state Martinez and Quillin are afraid of him.

Posted October 14, 2013 3:43 pm

Golovkin hasn’t made any excuses as far as I know, His manager never said I’m not letting him in ” With an animal like Martinez ” he’s never called off a fight with anyone, included fighting the same week as having been in bed with the flu.
None of the names you put forward are eager to get in with him. You mentioned Froch before with some silly remark about ” Nuthuggers ”
Golovkin will beat Froch easilly, very easilly.
Then you ended up with a ” Now piss off ” what’s that all about? Don’t get so beligerent, we are talking about third person people, why do you find the need to be an arsehole, perhaps you should change your non de plume to Unhappy Boy, or Sulky Boy, or maybe just Boy, because you sure act like one.

Posted October 13, 2013 6:28 pm

and Calr Froch ihas just called him out too, you prick. Stop making excuses for this dude.

Posted October 13, 2013 5:47 am

Seems to me his being avoided by all the guys who are in the top ten ratings as well, why else who he be fighting a BUM like Curtis Stevens whose not ranked in the top 10 by all organisations.

Posted October 13, 2013 5:44 am

Happyboy is so stupid it’s beyond belief. Even when it gets spelt out for him clearly time and time again he still doesn’t understand. Golovkin is being AVOIDED by all the big name fighters between 168 and 154. What part of that don’t you understand??? Are you so utterly stupid that you cannot get that into your thick head??

It’s Dimwit City around here again

Posted October 13, 2013 1:18 am

Yo Tark !

Your famous around these boards. Mork wants you, you have fans all over. Where are you, you old man gheezer !

Posted October 12, 2013 8:42 pm

Padcal ” loveface”

Hey Tarky if you don’t accept Mork’s offer of fun I will. I need to be filled up to the brim if you know what I mean.

Bulawayo2 – first read my post properly before getting your painties in a knot. GGG is 31yrs old, the wrong side of 30 and doesn’t have much time left if he so wishes to be remembered as a great like Chavez snr. Go read up about the great Chavez snr achievements by the time he was 31yrs old. At the same age Cotto was already a 3 division champion and certainly a future HOFmer so do think ( if you even capable of doing so) before calling someone a BUM. The point I was making was that GGG’s resume lacks depth in quality opponents so I simply gave you a list of possible good opponents that could enable him to get noticed and get him a shot at the BIG TIMES with Mayweather, Martinez and Ward (154lbs – 168lbs) before father time kicks. Now PISS OFF!

Posted October 12, 2013 8:11 am

Do you really think any of those fighters you mentioned could live with GGG, his problem is getting those bums into the ring with him, besides Kessler, Froch and Bute are a different weight, didn’t he flatten Bute in the amateurs? Don’t say that doesn’t mean anything. Lennox Lewis knocked out Bowe in the Olympic final and Bowe didn’t want anything to do with Lennox in the pros, even dropped a belt rather than take him on.
You’ve got one hell of an imagination if you think Cotto, Trout and Alverez would be good opponents for Golovkin, none of them would be standing for a decision.
He states after every fight, ” I’ll fight anyone between 154\168 ” So Froch wants a go good for him, but he isn’t in the ring with him yet.
I think in a years time you will be a believer in this guy, he’s the best I’ve seen in a long long tiime, this guy is that good he could become a legend, a Chavez, the old man of course.

Pedo.., You’re the liar. I’ve never been attracted to kids. Maybe that’s your thing. If it is, you belong in jail like any other professional pervert.

Calzaghe was called out by Froch continually for years. Carl had nothing but contempt for Calzaghe was certain he could beat him.

It would have been a massive box office smash but JC chickened out every single time. JC even fought 3rd rater Peter Manfredo when Froch was available for a huge domestic money fight.

TARK spreading lies about Calzaghe again.

Lies he has been corrected on a number of times, which he didn’t even attempt to then try and argue his case against.

Posted October 12, 2013 12:13 am

I think this will be an exciting fight! I can’t rule Stevens out because he has A HELL of a punch. GGG is much more than he has ever been in with though and possibly vice versa, but i don’t know alot of Stevens. I can’t wait to see the fight though! Gonna be fireworks just like the man said!

Posted October 11, 2013 10:55 pm

Tark the question is ? Can you handle that beast Mork. He will loosen you up good. Soften your butt up.

Posted October 11, 2013 10:21 pm

Golovkin would beat Ward by going to the body every time Ward would try and Clinch.

I see it as an amazing fight. Probably next year.

Posted October 11, 2013 8:34 pm

I meant if the fight is allowed to flow triple g by late tko. Lol

Posted October 11, 2013 7:22 pm

I think ward will box and try and use his reach again triple g. I can see ward clinching. Grabbing in hitting border line dirty to try and frustrate triple g. I got ward by sd or md. Ward will make it a boring foul filled fight. Thats his only chance of winning. If the fight is allowed to floyd triple g by late k.o.

Posted October 11, 2013 7:21 pm

Froch is a fair boxer, which he showed against Abraham… But he’s more of a very tough brawler and brutal mixer … and that’s why Calzaghe avoided Forch. Calzaghe loved Kessler and types who wait for you to lead — or amateurish swingers like Lacy who load every punch. Froch loves guys who hang back like Bute and Abraham.

Froch is a good thinker. He was overtrained for Ward but he would be out-boxed by Ward anywhere on the planet.. Golovkin comes forward and throws. He finds every hole in your defense. GGG would hit Froch hard. GGG not only attacks well, but he’s deadly accurate and has lights out punching power.. Forch wouldn’t be able to take it for 12 rounds.

Ward vs Golovkin is going to be one of the better fights in your lifetime. GGG has the edge in punching power and offensive prowess … and that will make the difference when they meet in a few years.

Posted October 11, 2013 4:56 pm

Whilst I agree Golovkin beats Froch, I don’t recall seeing froch ever throw round-house looping punches

Posted October 11, 2013 3:45 pm

kid blast

Posted October 11, 2013 3:20 pm

I think Golovkin beats Froch handilly, Froch truly has a lousy defence, if he fights GGG with his hands low like he normally does he’ll be lucky to see the second half of the fight, best chin in the World or not.
I mostly enjoy Froch, the Ward fight was bad, but Ward and his spoiler tactics not unlike Hopkind tend to make everyone look bad.
Froch a very hard man but not as hard as GGG.

Posted October 11, 2013 1:45 pm

Golovkin will KO him three rounds

Posted October 11, 2013 1:05 pm

Fight Aficionado

“The question is does my power concern him?” – No. Because GGG actually has a defense. GGG by KO in 5 rounds or less.

Posted October 11, 2013 12:46 pm

Carl Froch has called out GGG for a fight in the UK, wht’d you nutthuggers got to say abbout that.

Posted October 11, 2013 12:28 pm

GGG will take him apart.

Posted October 11, 2013 12:16 pm

Bottomline is GGG has to fight some live opponents. Mack the knife was more scared than anything and hit the canvass from a body blow. GGG needs to raise tha bar.

Posted October 11, 2013 4:11 am

Mork, sounds like you are best buddies with “I got the blueprint,” Oscar De La Hoya.

Posted October 11, 2013 3:24 am

Tark you old koon are you talking just to talk ?

Posted October 11, 2013 1:28 am

Only chance stevens got is to try and go for early k.o. he will prob go for broke early! But i still dont see how he can out slug triple g

Posted October 11, 2013 12:35 am

Steven has a small punchers chance to pull off the upset. Even w that said im goin to have to go w triple g by late rd stoppage!

Posted October 10, 2013 11:47 pm

Woop Woop

Time for GGG to stop ducking the ‘real’ Middleweight title holders. Why is he fighting a little guy ranked #16. Hold on, look at his record it’s full of little guys who aren’t dangerous. Keep milking the suckers GGG, the Hype Train will come to a severe stop soon.

Posted October 10, 2013 11:29 pm

Be a man Tark grow some ——- balls ! Do it

Posted October 10, 2013 9:21 pm

Go one TARK live a little.

You will have a codeword for getting out of it.

Probably “Stance”.

Posted October 10, 2013 8:46 pm

Tark I always get a “no” the first time around. Your mind will change later. You can’t resist the temptation. It always wins at the end.

Posted October 10, 2013 8:19 pm

Tark you have my full support. Go for it ! The trio of darkness awaits for you in Las Vegas.

Posted October 10, 2013 8:16 pm

If you want Tark I can contact you to Roxy and you will find we are good people.

Posted October 10, 2013 6:26 pm

Mork likes you Tark GO FOR IT !!!!! He’s in Vegas !

Posted October 10, 2013 5:00 pm

The Ward fight is a long way off… GGG needs to unify at 160. He needs to make a bigger fuss about duckers and challenge them. Say, “My near-term goal is to knock Sergio Martinez stiff if the coward will fight me.”

Posted October 10, 2013 4:58 pm

Of course, GGG can be beat but it will take a masterful boxer like Ward not a brawler like Stevens imo.

Posted October 10, 2013 4:40 pm

get off the GGG train – he is great no doubt but stevens can win USA USA USA

Posted October 10, 2013 4:30 pm

Stevens will be a sitting duck for GGG’s power shots and we all know GGG can crack anything put in front of him. This fight won’t last long. GGG by brutal KO.

Posted October 10, 2013 4:19 pm

Watch the Winky Wright / Hopkins fight. Steward called for an investigation on Hopkins. Hopkins says Winky was never the same like every other fighter he fights. I say really ??? Thats because Bernard you head butt the heck out of Winky. Winky was never the same. Hopkins my opinion his liscense should of been taken away after that. Watch the fight yourself. The guy talks about professor teacher stuff of how to live your life but at the same token he fought so many dirty fights. He’s a phony.

Posted October 10, 2013 4:13 pm

GGG by murder.

Posted October 10, 2013 4:08 pm

Brazilian Boxing Fan

I hope Golovkin beats Stevens.

Posted October 10, 2013 4:05 pm

Hopkins won’t cross the road to help a person if they need it. He’s in it for himself. He’s a leech and a most dirty corrupt fighter ever

Posted October 10, 2013 3:44 pm

Hopkins is a crook. He fights like that in the ring like how he lives his life.

Posted October 10, 2013 3:41 pm

Gonzo the Dragonborn

Was I a little too over the top there?

Sincerest apologies to Mr. Stevens and Mr. Rozier and their families for any undue offence I may have inadvertently caused them.

Posted October 10, 2013 3:37 pm

I wish it wasn’t Stevens and it was Bernard Hopkins. People hate that guy !

Posted October 10, 2013 3:36 pm

He will be taken apart in 6 rounds or less. Especially if he tries to mixed it up early in the fight.

Posted October 10, 2013 3:23 pm

Papa jombolyaya

Bye bye Stevens
