Alexander ; I make it a point to NEVER argue with an idiot , they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ! Instead of suggesting Lomachenko take up swimming , let me suggest that YOU take up diving ; preferably into a pool with no water !

Posted August 31, 2013 8:39 am

I will give you one thing K2 Fan at least your saying Lomachenko won only 396 amateur fights the baphoon Bob Arum is saying Lomachenko has 540 amateur wins, did this kid fight twice a week since he was 18? Arum is also saying if he wins his pro debut Lomachenko could fight for a title against the Salido- Cruz winner in his second professinal fight. How can that even get sanctioned by any raptorial commision? Watching Arum ruin this kid is going too be painful, and despite what many think I am not a hater that has anything against Lomachenko.

Lomachenko, is a great little athlete and I will admit was the best amateur boxer in his weight class in 2008 and 2009 but his 2012 gold medal is a fraud and was won by politics not in the ring. Signs of slippage as an amateur have been obvious since Lomachenko has moved up in weight. K2 Fan is also being very disingenous in claiming only one defeat, 396 wins seem insanely high to me is K2 Fan including every sparring session the kid ever had? Also I know for a fact of at least 3 or 4 junior tournaments and 2 or 3 military tournaments Lomochenko did not win so unless he retired on injury in each of those tournaments his amateur record includes more than one loss.

Lomachenko’s record : 396 to 1 is legitimate ! He had ONE loss in 2007 ,
which he avenged in 2012 . Won Two World championships , won the Gold medal at two Olympics ( 2008 and 2012 ) and the Val Barret trophy for the
Best boxer in the Olympics ( 2008 ) across ALL weights . After the Olympics , we had a chance to see him with the newly formed World Boxing body . Yet ,
there are some who suggest he take up swimming , because he lacks ” boxing
skills ” . It only proves , that you don’t have to be an idiot and keep it to yourself ; you can make comments like that , and PROVE that you’re an idiot to everybody !

his style is actually more suited to the pro’s and the amateur fighting he was doing the last couple of years have had no head-guard, basically if he can adjust from 3 rds to 12 than we will have a phenomenally great fighter here.

Posted August 29, 2013 5:27 am

that’s fantastic! exactly how these superstar amo’s should enter the pros. riggondeaux, kostya tsyzu to a lesser degree gamboa all did it right. (KT fighting lopez in the america in like his 10th fight was amazing – and if you all haven’t seen it you should – lopez was a beast and had been a gun amateur himself in his day)
anyway it is so much better than flavour of the month GGG who is still yet to step up to quality (Curtis stevens for godsake – he’s nearly had 30 fights) and past flavour andre ward who took 20 fights before he stepped up to a gate keeper in Miranda ( the super 6 rectified his poor start by pairing him against the best, Kessler in his 21st fight but still that was about 10 fights too late).

Posted August 29, 2013 1:46 am

Yeah that is a phenomenal record! What is this feller’s weight class?

Posted August 28, 2013 6:31 pm

Maybe Vayls rival Albert Selimov could turn pro too. That would be something. Watched the WSB and Vasyl looks confident that he can do a 10 rounder in his pro debut. The last guy I remember doing this was Azumah Nelson and he turned out great.

“396-1 in the amateur ranks” – Is this confirmed independently? If so it’s a sick record, maybe the best amateur record I’ve ever seen. I hope they put his fights on US TV. Lomachenko is a blue chip prospect if ever there was one.

no clue

This thread has been hijacked by some seriously disturbed mofos… that said, Lomachenko is planning to have his title shot within the first 5 fights… he himself said on national TV that if he passes this first test with flying colors he will ready to challenge the world champ in the very next fight.. this guy he is fighting is one tough sob and a hard hitting bastard.. if he can ko him or flat out outbox him I will be 80 percent sold on Lomachenko

Posted August 28, 2013 3:41 am

Wow…..who dropped a pube in your bacon sandwich this morning?

Without having to read a single post by haimat I can tell you he worships the Goat God Baphomet, engaging in strange and twisted rituals involving the no less than 14 different forms of beastiality.

Eastern Europeans….hungry, grateful, strong willed, determined and highly skilled! Congrats Lomachenko!!

Tark, another great coaching technique is too have Lomachenko take up swimming and not enter a boxing ring.

It’s Me, Ernie

last post, idiot Tard…

Posted August 27, 2013 11:31 pm

I do not agree with Tark, but at least he is a gentlemen who describes technical boxing theories too establish his opinions. I have always enjoyed Tark’s boxing acumen and look forward to his future posts in regards to Lomachenko’s professinal carer that I find so ill advised.

Posted August 27, 2013 11:30 pm

Not many coaches realise but the best way to help fix balance and stance issues like Lomachenko had early in his career is to have you boxer put on high heels when they are skipping.

A good coach watching his boxer skipping in high heels very closely can find lots of issues.

Posted August 27, 2013 10:36 pm

Lomachenko has great form, masterful footwork and a perfect stance.

I knew from when I first saw him he was destined to be a world champion.

In fact when I watched him in the final in his first Olympics I was so stunned by the speed of his jab that I swallowed my ball-gag, and thought to myself “this guy would lick Joe Calzaghe”.

Posted August 27, 2013 10:04 pm

I really hope this trend of top level amateurs stepping up quickly continues rather than watching them plod through cannon-fodder for years.
Povetkin actually started his career reasonably fast. Rigo blasted through it. And just last week, Ryota Murata won his debut against a guy with a very respectable 21-7-1 record.

And why is it that every prospect attracts a group of butthurt haters?

Posted August 27, 2013 9:38 pm

Seen this guy in the amatures great skills. With this many amature fights and with his skill level theres no need for sub-par fighters in 4 or 6 rd fights. But this is a big step-up for a first fight…just the pressure alone.Maybe 4 or 5 8rd fights against decent fighters would make more sence….but his handlers know better then us.Maybe a title shot in 10 or 15 fights who knows…will be fun to watch.

Posted August 27, 2013 7:12 pm

It always a bit of an experiment really with these guys with stand out amateur records and olympic credentials, Zou Shimming isnt looking so hot so far but Rigo is. This guys handlers must know something otherwise why would they push him this fast, he’s probably sparred rounds with current pro’s in the gym and made them look ordinary.

Posted August 27, 2013 6:44 pm

flash knock down

He is a good looking fighter he has a great attitude for fighting . I love the fact that he is not playing around with guys he knows he can beat. At his age and ability he is ready for a good fighter. The only problem I see for him is he fought in the amateurs so long. I don’t know if he will be able to change up his style to the pro game. I wish I was training him. It’s not the trainer it’s always the fighter.

mayweather 86

That’s a but of a stretch don’t you think

Posted August 27, 2013 5:01 pm

So, back to the subject -Lomachenko. Will he become legit world champ in less fights than Rigondeaux? I suspect he will.

Posted August 27, 2013 4:10 pm

Haimat, who is Gonzo? I hope you’ve got a thick blanket to keep you warm in that cave bro. Gonzo is an ESB legend and an Internet sensation.

Posted August 27, 2013 3:57 pm

This boxer has to feel some serious pressure! Can you imagine hype that has never before been seen for a boxer that has yet to have a pro debut,… And then he gets banged out?!? I wouldn’t want all the hype.

Alexander , I bet you are a frustrated russian , who just can’t stand the idea of ANOTHER Ukrainian champion ! Well , suck it up buddy , Lomachenko IS
coming ! And at twenty five , he may vey well have a LOOOONG career at
the top , so eat your heart out . Also you’ re not making yourself look smart
by calling Lomachenko , who had 396 fights with ONE loss ( which ha AVANGED ) , two Gold Olympic medals , and two world championships , a person with ” poor boxing skills “. I have no idea where you got your boxing expertise , but it’s pretty safe to say that you’re the one that has ” been
beaten in the brain ” . Get lost !

Gonzo, I do feel sorry for you and understand you are not well. I do hope you get help, much like I hope when Lomachenko is exposed he is not seriously hurt. All the best.

Just saw the final of the olympics with that guy, his movement is insane. Out of this world. Once he started landing the other guy was helpless.

Alexander.. Do you know who I am?

Posted August 27, 2013 11:27 am

Loma is diving in at the deep end, its called baptism of fire and he/we will know there and then if he’s cut out for the pro’s, a lot of fighters waste years before they test themselves.

Posted August 27, 2013 11:20 am

Hamlat, how am I hateful for not wanting to see this young person with no boxing skill beaten in the brain?

Posted August 27, 2013 10:16 am

Wow, ballsy first fight. Like him already.

Posted August 27, 2013 10:13 am

Hamlat, I think you protesst too much.

Posted August 27, 2013 10:12 am

Alexander is a hateful person. What is “vocational training” in Ukraine? It sounds pretty terrible.
Lomachenko asked to overturn a terrible decision against a Brazilian boxer. The fight was overturned due to points not being deducted properly by the ref or something like that. There was nothing shameful about that.
Looking forward to seeing him in the pros!

Posted August 27, 2013 10:07 am

396-1!!! That’s insane!

Posted August 27, 2013 10:05 am

We must remember Lamencheko struggled at the Olympics and pathetically asked to overtern a descion against him, his credentials are fake. Poor Lamacheko is troubleded and not suitede for the vigoers of boxing. Ukraine offered him vocational training, he could reconsider and take them up on this offer and get away from TopRonak befor it is too late.

Posted August 27, 2013 9:55 am

Lomachenko would beat Mares right now. This guy is going to be a force alongside the already dominant Kovalev. P4P top 3 in 2 yrs will be Kovalev, Lomanchenko and Golovkin. These are the types of guys you want as champions. They will travel, they will fight the best. Unlike Andre Fraud, Fraud Mayweather Jnr and Bernfraud Hopkins. I am the deliverer of harsh truths. Suck it up.

Posted August 27, 2013 9:32 am

…..Jack Johnson?

Posted August 27, 2013 8:26 am

He has pound for pound type of skills.

Posted August 27, 2013 8:12 am

Hands of Stone

Sanchez, Monzon and….?

Posted August 27, 2013 7:15 am

I think he will KO the other guy in the first 3 so it doesn’t matter if it is 8 or 10 rounder.

interesting info, who are these guys?

Posted August 27, 2013 6:30 am

Lomanchenko great amateur but surely a 6 rounder or 8 would have been better. He could step up to 10 after 3 pro fights than 12 before the year is out.
No need to rush.
