Fury will be to busy avoiding punches to throw anything meaningful, when he tries to fly right it will be to late,he will be hurt and trying to go into his shell ………..goodnight Tyson…… You will come again, but not be the same……….

Anonimouse – Ruiz still lost…. your point being!! And to state Tyson Fluffy is better than Ruiz is a not correct. Because as of yet Fluffy has not really fought anyone… with the exception of a blown up Cursers and he had to resort to illegal methods to win!! With the exception of el boy…. Who has he fought?? We know he ducked David Price. So the statement of Tyson Fluffy is better than Ruiz is not correct and only you view… the facts and the figures do not support you view to date!!

A GOOD white Heavywight in Britain, you mean, Oleg! Damn right, when was the last one before Tyson Fury? Scott Welch? Rogan?

Posted August 13, 2013 11:38 am

Must be Fury’s Irish genes makes him a gpod white heavyweigjt in Britain!! When was the last one?!?

In this photo Fury is taking the Roy Jones chicken stance… Funny guy.

But then Ruiz got up from a bad knockdown in round 1 against Haye and survived for another 6 or 7 rounds, and Fury is better than Ruiz. Haye has a problem that Wlad aside, Fury is his toughest Heavyweight opponent; better than Barrett, Ruiz, Harrison, Bonin, Chisora and Valuev. So, in some ways, he is as up against it as Fury is. Fury shouldve taken on Pulev, he is no where near as fast, athletic or hard hitting as Haye. Fury’s 2 years away from being ready for Haye IMO.

Posted August 13, 2013 9:27 am

When Fury has been knock down…. his opponent has not been of the quality or the same level as Haye…. As such even if fury gets up (Enzo Mack did) he will be jumped on and the same power that put him down will the go on to stop him!! Will Haye be surprised if Fury gets up… in a word no. he’s too season to be surprised!!

Posted August 13, 2013 7:55 am

I would love to see Hayes face if Tyson jumps back up after a knock down, he’l be like – I didn’t expect that, then Tyson sets about wearing him down, Hayes stamina very suspect after 5 rounds of throwing Hayemakers.

Posted August 13, 2013 5:24 am

i guess one brit HW fell down twice who was among the british best.

Posted August 13, 2013 5:12 am

Bad move by Fury’s team.
Cunningham cant hit as hard or as fast as Haye.

I dont like Haye BUT I really hope he lands a solid kidney punch to Fury.
BUT if Fury wins (doubt) I guess we can yell for him and Wilder to fight.

Squared-Circle Real Talk (a.k.a. The Lion King of Beat Street)

Fury will NOT be fighting Haye with his hands down by his side, sticking his chin out, and taking unnecessary risks (as in the attached photo). That’s the only reason why U.S.S. was able to catch him with that big overhand right.

Keep in mind that Fury has never been stopped, so even if Haye catches him and knocks him down, chances are he’s gonna get up, beat the count, dig deeper and keep fighting on.

I also think it’s smart for Team Fury to pick U.S.S. as one of his sparring partners because he’s almost exactly the same size as Haye. Haye will look like a midget in the ring next to the young giant, so he’s not going to rush and attack Fury while throwing bombs — like many of you think.

One thing we know about Haye is that he’s extremely uncomfortable in the ring with giant Super HWs (Wlad, Valuev). To the point where he looks timid, scared and almost stops throwing punches. I’m not predicting that Fury will win, but he’s going to give Haye a lot more trouble than most of you think — unless he gets caught by a HUGE, lucky shot in the early rounds. Real talk.

Posted August 13, 2013 1:47 am

Fury has a real good chin.. He’s young and resilient… Haye caught Wladimir with some hard shots, particularly the 12th round bomb, but not enough nicks for attrition to set in.. He kept hitting Chisora very hard every minute of every single round. That’s what he needs.

He needs to find Fury’s chin — and keep finding it. He’s freakin’ huge.

It’s Me, Ernie

He can bring in King Kong if he wants, it’s all a futile effort. He doesn’t have the instincts or skills Haye has nor never will at this point. A short term session with good sparring partners doesn’t guarantee a victory, especially in this case. They won’t be able to anything for that chin…

Posted August 12, 2013 4:07 pm

Neil (Pomy)

Hi Ray Gordon Reid …. how you doing?

Posted August 12, 2013 4:06 pm

Fury is not skimping on sparring…

If you bring in tough, world-class sparring partners, that means you’re damned serious about winning. After months of hard training you’re not going to let the fight go in 8th round, when you take a hard punch to the jaw and get floored … Too much work. Too much sacrifice.

And that’s really the only way you can possibly win at this level. If you have a great training camp.. Everybody you brought to camp is watching the fight.. You can’t let their efforts go to waste either, so you’re pretty damned grim about winning it at all costs. That’s what makes for a great fight.

Posted August 12, 2013 3:42 pm

Fury’s too slow and too clumsy to even get close to hitting Haye, Steve Cunningham skillsets, head movement and power are inferior to Haye’s. Haye by late KO or wide UD.

TF has good footwork, power, a strong chin and yes he does have a considerable height and reach advantage, but I would still favor DH due to his strength, deceptive speed, ring intelligence and experience. Like him or not, but DH is one of the best heavies out there right now!
In my book TF is not skilled enough in order to seriously question DH’s reign as “UK’s champion.”
This will be an interesting fight. I can hardly wait!

As for the comment “Haye cannot out-box Fury because he lacks the height. Fury by TKO.”
Please consider that in the majority of cases DH’s lack of height can be compensated by strength — he has massive strength!

Haye cannot out-box Fury because he lacks the height. Fury by TKO

Posted August 12, 2013 2:33 pm

Haye will slip that left lead and bang him with a left hook, then when Fury is wondering where that came from he will be caught with a big right and will hit the floor so hard he will have a cauliflower arse………..

Posted August 12, 2013 2:32 pm

Sorry Michael Collins: All Fury needs to do is turn up, and Haye’s lost! Haye is all talk, just like Audley Harrison. Remember all the nonsense he said he’d do to Wladimir Klitschko and come fight night he did nothing?? Infact he blamed his little toe for the loss…how pathetic! Against Audley Haye looked dreadful…only saving grace for him was that Audley looked even worse. Tyson is right, Haye is a bumm, and come September 28th he’ll be exposed just like he was against Jimmy Twite in 1999, Carl Thompson on September 10th 2004 and Wladimir Klitschko on July 2nd, 2011. Correctomudo Yes Broner is a joke. He just barley beat a FEATHER FISTED Malinagi.. As for FLOYD look at the CHAMPS he fought at 147 OLD PAST THEIR PRIME boxers NOT in their PRIME OR Guys with HEART such as Gurrerro SmallHatton Tough WILLING NO SKILLS.. Yep that a FAKE record if I seen one. OR Floyd has an edge a catch weight. Even NOW he wants Canelo to weigh in 2 pounds under. Why should Canelo hes the REAL Champ. FLOYD the COWARDLESS bastard came in 2 pounds OVER WEIGHT with MARQUEZ. Yeah Floyd PAID a HEFTY FINE So what thats pocket change to CHERRYPICKER.. I hope CANELO knocks this CHERRYPICKER OUT. Thats IF Canelo can CATCH the COWARDLESS Pri@K from Running all night. PACMAN was RIGHT floyd is a RUNNER and ONLY fights GUYS he KNOWS he can BEAT Like WILDERS record this time CHERRYPICKER is going to be in a REAL fight a GUY that is a natural 154 A guy thats NOT OLD PAST HIS PRIME A guy that has Good SKILLS A guy that is STRONG and can PUNCH. Showtime MADE this PHONEY COWARD CHERRYPICKER do this FIGHT. Otherwise the PHONEY CHERRY PICKING C@tn would never take this fight. Either WAY its going to be a GOOD fight that if CHERRY PICKER wants to fight rather than RUN like the COWARD he is Just ASK PACMAN. He avoided him in his PRIME . Good Night I see dam GOOD

Posted August 12, 2013 12:09 am

I see Good-IF you want to state an informed opinion then please learn more about the History of Boxing man. Floyd has faced 10 CHAMPS in his last 12 Fights. WHO has Khan faced??? Khan was AFRAID of the BEST at 140 SO he bailed out. He only wants to face Mayweather for the paycheck. He didn’t even have enough heart to rematch Garcia and try to redeem himself. Please don’t ever put Khan in the same paragraph with Mayweather and Broner….Mayweather and Broner are Top 10 P4P. Khan is #0.

This pundit says…, “There are too many levels between Fury and Haye for a sparring partner to help him.” … Too many levels for sparring to help him??? LMFAO

How many levels would you say there are between them—and how many levels is too many??? Three levels would be a worthless mismatch.

Would this pundit say Haye is an “A” level fighter and Fury is an “F” level? There are 3 levels between A and F — the levels B, C, and D. Fury would be the first F level fighter who’s undefeated in 21 fights, a ranked Heavyweight Contender—and a man who’s beaten 2 former title challengers.

Fury also has 6 years of age, 6 inches of height, and 40 pounds on Haye.

But if sparring partners are not going to help Fury—why waste at least a hundred thousand dollars on sparring??? Why throw that money away???

I suppose this pundit would advise Fury to just shadow box in his living room to get ready for the toughest fight of his life. He also thinks Canelo should dispense with sparring partners—apparently they won’t help him either.

To much RING EXPERIENCE and TO FAST of HANDS. Good punching power. Then DAVID will fight a KLITCHKO and get BEAT AGAIN.. Meanwhile DAVID HAYE is still MAKING MILLIONS..

He should use David Haye as his sparring partner to prep for David Haye.

Posted August 11, 2013 6:38 pm

Fists of Fuzzy

Fury is a gimped up, feather fisted, china chinned, uncoordinated, no defence, slow plodder. He is absolutely crap scared of Haye and was forced into a corner after calling out and deriding fighters such as Price, Pulev, Haye, Wilder and when they called his bluff, he dropped titles and/or ran. Fury has taken this fight because it will pay well otherwise he would of fought Pulev for an eliminator to get a shot at Wlad. The hype is finished and the sideshow debunked. Hopefully Fury is damaged for life.

Whatever your opinion is Mr. Collins, it is a good idea to bring in Cunningham as a sparring partner, he is not a bum, most people respect him, and it’s to Furys credit that if he , as has been suggested by some, would not have beaten Cunningham but for foul tactics, he has the courage to ask and get him to work with him, come on give him some credit. Everyone kept saying, “Fury is scared of Haye” he’s ducking him, well I guess that turned out to be wrong again, he was not forced into fighting Haye, Haye at this point needed him, more than he needed Haye, he could have continued to make big money without fighting the faker. But,again, these are just my views on this fight, who do I hope wins, without doubt Fury, why? because once again if Haye wins, he will con his way into one more big pay day and that will be the end of him in boxing, he will laugh all the way to the bank.

i think fury will ko hyahe. hiahe has basically one punch which he launches offbalanced. in all conversations of how he will destroy vlad, stuart just pointed out that at that offbalanced moment any punch would ko him. hoyahe preys on smaller fighters with no defense, he has not shown nothing with larger fighters, including a controversial win over valuev, who is moving like a ocean liner. plus ohohoke has known toe vulnerability. fury will be on top

hit and slip

Killing Moon-Yes he dosent fight his size he fights small at times, agree. But Fury jab isnt bad really in the Johnson fight it did look pretty good.Against Cunningham he looked out of controll sloopy, but his uncle wasnt in his corner I think that does play a big part with him.But in this fight Peter Fury will be there and will keep him more focsed, not that it will make him win.But Im just throwing some stuff out there which could have some positive effect on him and if he somehow did pull off this huge upset these could be some of the reasons why.

Hit and slip: Haye is defence first when dealing with big opponents(He’ll circle the ring)…. although those he has faced has been able to stick their lefts out thereby annoying him and almost nullyfying his speed…I’m not impressed by Furys jab nor his stance(Tends to fight below his size)…So if he can’t fix those flaws…. This one could be over fast…

Posted August 11, 2013 4:30 pm

hit and slip

Killing Moon-Okay I thought you meant great boxers dont get dirty.Anyway Fury will have to use everything including the kitchen sink to hang in there with Haye but I dont see him winning really. But like somebody said if it gets late in the fight and Fury is still there somehow and he can do everything in the book by hook or crook that will be his only slight chance. And he will have to show plenty of guts and heart cant see him winning but could see him going out on his shield.

Posted August 11, 2013 4:19 pm

Of course getting someone the same size as Haye with excellent movement is a good idea. Personally I think if Fury is still in there after round 5 he will win, Haye has terrible stamina and was struggling in the Chisora fight until he ended it.

Posted August 11, 2013 4:17 pm

Cunningham put fury on his arse, Haye will put Fury on his arse, but he will be sleeping b4 he hits the floor.

Hit and Slip: Fury is not a great boxer(Those you mentioned were)….My point was that he wouldn’t have beat Cunningham had he not used the tacticts mentioned below…Just wondering if he thought he could use the same tactic successfully aginst Haye…Because then I think he’ll be disappointed when he realizes Haye has both speed and Power…

Good sparring partner for Fury, for the Haye fight.Fury can sell a fight harsh talk but with abit of understanding hey this puts butts in the seats. And Im sure Cunningham understood that aswell, because here he is helping Fury get ready for a very big fight.I belive Peter Fury will have Tyson ready and foucsed and will give Haye a better fight then most think. If Fury gets past the first 4rds. and then starts roughhouseing Haye, wearing on him, leaning, tying him up, inside fighting. We could see a unhappy Haye come rds.5,6,7…if Fury can hang on.We know Fury has a pretty big heart, but it will have to be huge for this fight…and it just might be…lets see.
