“It is an honorable character trait to openly admit when you’re wrong, and guys on ESB will start to show you more respect almost immediately.”

This is the TRUTH Squared-Circle.

Boxtra…. You got it WRONG AGAIN!!! … Stop with the excuses. You can bet on draw, They don’t return your money because there was a draw when you bet one somebody to win.

Gonzales won the fight easily anyway.. Anybody with good eyes and a brain would agree.. But If you have 2 idiot officials say it was a draw, that’s what they pay out on.

This has nothing to do with Hunter. This has everything to do with Berto

This goes to show that Virgil Hunter is not a good trainer this is why Khan hasn’t made any improvements either and thank god the ref stop it or else Jesus would have probably gotten robbed.
Exciting fight non the less. I really enjoyed it and that’s what it’s all about.

I took Soto Karass for the split haired WIN and I was CORRECT. As for the Oostheisen Fight there was no WINNER. SO I did not pick the LOSER in that Fight.

Berto has to divorce Victor Conte and get his body back together… But I think it’s too late.. Once you mess your body up royally with those PEDs it never comes back again.. Your reflexes are shot and your whole body is simply shot to Hell.. Sparring partners start beating you up.. You get ripped with everything everybody throws … It happened to Ali and now it’s happening to Berto.

I expect Berto to keep lowering the level of competition until he’s fighting people you never heard of … No sense getting trashed to death every fight — so what else can he do???

Posted July 29, 2013 12:41 am

Right… That’s why you picked Berto and Oosthuiszen to win … and you were WRONG AGAIN Boxtra!!!! in both fights.

Posted July 29, 2013 12:32 am

“Jesus” I was wrong again for picking Berto. I guess I ain’t the greatest fight prophet ever born.”-Nope. Because I AM. I can be imitated but my gift for picking the WINNER cannot be duplicated.

Ped usage

@Hello….are you on PEDS?? and where are you trying to compare cultures?! Ped usage is GLOBAL…..being led by T he Pac Man!!!

Posted July 28, 2013 10:29 pm

Why do lots of American fighters, other sports get busted for PEDS, it is not a coincidence, unlucky, it’s in the culture of sport over there, something needs to be done…

Ped usage

Manny Paquiao knows about the effects of stopping ped usage, Berto now knows all too well!! When will these athletes rely on hard work and dedication??!!

Posted July 28, 2013 9:29 pm

trust me

Vitaly K. pounded on Chris Byrd round after round, but had to quit when his shoulder was torn. Berto couldn’t have went on with the kind of injury hes describing.

JayRock, you nailed it! Kahn vs Berto would a VERY interesting fight! Both guys are explosive and can hit hard, and both are “chinny.” If the two were to meet, we’d likely get a record number of knockdowns in a 12-round fight.

Posted July 28, 2013 7:09 pm

Gary, cut too much weight and you’re unable to take any shots on the chin. No, I think Berto is fine at 147 weight, he just has flaws in his game. His talent, it seems, is only enough to get him to gate-keeper status.

Posted July 28, 2013 7:05 pm

NO!!!! Berto doesn’t need to move down he needs to move up..his ounch resistance is less at a smaller weight. .berto came into the game as a junior middle. .n never had these problems…plus I must agree..his body is collapsing on him because of the PED use over a long period of time…typical trait of one who is off the juice. .just Pac Man

Posted July 28, 2013 6:09 pm

He just came up with that statistic. He is more upset that we have more champs.

Posted July 28, 2013 4:26 pm

Berto looked good through 10 rounds but his head movement faded and he got caught too many times. If he is to stay in the game it’s time to go down in weight and try two at 140. 147 is just too much for his chin and stamina.

A dislocated shoulder does not miraculously pop back in. He tore a rotator cuff, or strained it more likely.

Jay rock

Berto vs khan loser calls it a career

Posted July 28, 2013 12:27 pm

From the “armchair boxer”, fighting with a shoulder tore out of its socket is just an “excuse.” This coming from someone who probably cries after being bit by a mosquito.

Posted July 28, 2013 12:26 pm

Berto, like Kahn, may have flaws, but these flaws sure make for some exciting entertainment.

Posted July 28, 2013 12:22 pm

duck and dive

just an excuse danny williams fought with one arm ,arthur abraham fought with a broken jaw the point is berto has no defense period

Posted July 28, 2013 11:53 am

If berto tore up his shoulder and i believe he did he should have asked his corner to stop the fight and live to fight another day! His body is breaking down due to years of steroid abuse. Message to young athelets please dont use ped’s. There are no short cuts in life!

I feel bad but Hill is not a good trainer at all! I think banks would be a great trainer in the sport if people give him the chance!
