Denver E, you can’t have that right. Khan himself said when he learned of Peterson’s test results that it explained how Peterson was able to get up twice in that first round. So they can’t have been trips or pushes, can they? I agree that IBF should just have stripped Peterson, but the fools had to go and carry out an actual investigation in the situation before they decided what to do, didn’t they? That’s what happens when you try and apply some sort of fair process. If only they had let the internet and Golden Boy decide Peterson’s fate! (The Golden Boy that condemned him as a cheat, that is, not the Golden Boy that just signed him).

Khan got koed maybe but he got up and tried to carry on unlike manny, my point is one punch can change a fight and just because a fighter got koed it doesn’t mean he lost all his skills

E in Denver

“..If he hadn’t been on a medical prescription, Peterson would never have been able to get up from either of Khan’s stunning knockdowns in round one..” The ref tripped Peterson in the 1st slip(which was correctly ruled a slip) & Khan tripped/pushed Peterson while eating a counter in the 2nd slip (which was incorrectly ruled a KD). Peterson wasn’t hurt by either. Khan got points taken but was also given a point for tripping. Peterson was doping & that probably gave him the gas to pull it off down the stretch. The IBF should have stripped the guy as well.

Khan’s fans do have some justification in claiming their guy was robbed, to be fair. If he hadn’t been on a medical prescription, Peterson would never have been able to get up from either of Khan’s stunning knockdowns in round one, now would he? The more recent developments do put the whole affair in an odd light though. Originally, the IBF investigated and found Peterson to be innocent, whereas Golden Boy/Team Khan decided he was guilty. But if Golden Boy were really still so convinced of his guilt, why would they sign him? Ah well, at least the whole sorry business allowed Khan to perpetuate his delusions a little longer and gave Garcia the opporunity to strip them away in a more convincing fashion.

Guys, please get over the Amir Con-man loss. Con deserved the point deductions and the loss, so just move on with it. I’m looking forward to this fight Friday. Being back on ESPN will ensure that both of these guys will be hungry and fighting to get back on HBO/Showtime.

Peterson is a cheat, the IBF should be ashamed, khan won the fight anyway, cleanly and fairly. I bet peterson feels great knowing he was pumped up and still only won based on point deductions. I’m glad the payday never came off, he didn’t deserve it, and never will.

Redemption my arse, to hell with that doped-up hype-job yankee bum. King Khan deserves that ‘loss’ overturned!
