Murray is a big strong, smart fighter. Maybe not 8 Sergio.

Rule Britannia,

I have passed fecal matter with more intelligence than you.

Hell yeah when its real war we kick their asses any day, hes running off his mouth quite a bit I hope Murray pulls off the upset!!

Rule Britannia.

Martinez will surrender just like his f4ggot countrymen did back on 14 June 1982, Britain own you Argie Maggots…

Posted December 22, 2012 6:39 am

Nemo, Martinez has earned his stripes having fought and beaten top men. Give the fella a break.

Posted December 21, 2012 10:05 pm

If Martinez ever faces Golovkin, he will likely lose badly. Nobody other than the brave Rosada will take the challenge.

Posted December 21, 2012 8:44 pm

This will be easier for Martinez than Macklin and Barker.

Martinez will put on a clinic at home.

Posted December 21, 2012 8:14 pm

Titopa……….. for one, Martinez did not take Chaves lightly. 2, as junior already touched on; Martinez has had leg surgery, and its very likely that the 38 (?) year old Martinez may have aged in ring years since that fight because of the brutality of that final round, and the stress his body has been through with the injury/surgery.

philly shell

Cracks me up how people are looking forward to the rematch with Chavez… The first fight was not competitive. Martinez put on a clinic and only got caught in the final round because Martinez got careless looking for a stoppage. The rematch will be just as one sided, minus the knockdown.

martinez is a light middle.. who is so good he owns the middle weight division too!! so why is everyone saying he only calls out smaller fighters??

Posted December 21, 2012 3:45 pm

Supreme Court

Here is another fraud who is going to burn….
Martinez Ballerina!
Four beltholder in his weight class, and he fights none!!!!!
Mega fight at super middle weight, ZERO!!

The coward constantly calls out fighters 2 divisions low….

Mark my words; just like I had been right about Taylor, Pavlik; Pacquiao,
Matinez is going to be exposed once he step up in his division.

This could be a 50-50 fight Martinez is good but slightly over rated and Murray has been slightly over looked for this one.if Martinez takes his eye off the ball for this one he will be in for a shock Murray is full at the weight and strong upset on the cards ??????

Posted December 21, 2012 2:34 pm

Martinez is one of few fighters that are actually fighting on a routine basis. All others are tomato cans!

Posted December 21, 2012 1:58 pm

Williams was overrated, Pavlik was not the same fighter after Hopkins, Cintron who really didn’t have the mental make up and never beat an A fighter. Regardless how many fights they won doesn’t matter. I mean Wilder is 25 and 0 and who has he fought? So Martinez still needs to step up

Posted December 21, 2012 1:27 pm

So i guess Cintron, Pavlik and Williams were C & B level fighters. Between all three fighters they have over 90 fights and 4 or less losses. I guess they were chumps.

Posted December 21, 2012 1:09 pm

Dash, The Margarito fight was over ten years ago and over 30 fights ago for Martinez. Keep in mind Martinez had no amateur career so yes, Martinez is a completely different that he was before.

Posted December 21, 2012 1:06 pm

Anybody see the Martinez loss to Cheato? Has Martinez improved since? I would have thought he had the right style to beat Cheato, but perhaps it was the wraps

Posted December 21, 2012 3:31 am

Titopia the man has had a break. Chavez was the weakest of the belt holders and Martinez only called him out. He never mentioned any other name other than they don’t bring money or they don’t deserve it but then he fought the guys that he had fought. I give him some credit for the Macklin fight because he was worthy but not a signle fighter before him or after him. He has constantly called out smaller fighters but has yet to call out a weight class above him actually went as far as saying he will not fight them. So no I will not let him off the hook. He beat an overrated Paul Williams and a drunk, in and out of rehab Pavlik which it seemed like he was on his way to losing until Pavlik got cut

GGG will KO Martinez if they fight, he’s starting to run his mouth quite a bit.

Posted December 20, 2012 7:57 pm

It’s a very big ask for Murray ESP the fight is in Argentina but Murray is going for the win and nothing else it’s a good fight and think everyone will enjoy it a great champion vs a well deserved undefeated challenger just a fight we can sit back and enjoy

Somerset – Golovkin is good, but he’s getting KO’d if he ever fights Martinez….he hangs his chin out to dry in his fights. Martinez will tap that a**

Posted December 20, 2012 7:07 pm

PEEJ – he just shut Chavez Jr.’s mouth…and he just got his knee repaired. Give him a breatk. He’ll fight those guys, trust, and when he does…he’s gonna wipe the floor with them. Martinez is #1 at 160lbs. Don’t forget that.

Posted December 20, 2012 7:06 pm

Yep, fight Golovkin

Posted December 20, 2012 6:08 pm

Im still waiting for the guy to fight the best in the division. Its easy to beat smaller guys moving up, guys with out a lot of fights. He has fought all the C and B level comp. It is time to defend his belt against better comp in his division.

Posted December 20, 2012 5:53 pm

Dribble – If a cruiser weight like Chavez Jr. can’t KO a fatigued Martinez who threw a thousand in 11 rounds, Murray can’t.

Posted December 20, 2012 5:50 pm

Complacency slips in here and Murray KOs Martinez as punishment for taking him lightly ;)

Posted December 20, 2012 5:30 pm

Junior – I agree! This is a good bout to take after that sort of surgery…but the thing going for Martinez is the fact that he’s not ‘ring worn’, the guy started boxing at 20, I think he has about 3-4 years left.

Posted December 20, 2012 5:22 pm

itl be interesting to see if that leg injury has any lasting damage, and also to see if Martinez has aged since the Chaves jr fight

Posted December 20, 2012 4:31 pm

The Kingslayer

Pretty much how I see it playing out.
