Just taking the piss~ Can’t disagree with you on it. He did do the job according to the record books now so some bragging rights are in order. But, if he doesn’t think that Pac just maybe could’ve had an ‘off night’ that night he may be in for a rude awakening should he get a rematch and find a Pac that not only brings his A-Game but does so on an ‘on night’ if you get what I mean~~~

What.? He is high risk for PAC? 29 wins with 12 ko….he has the power of a mosquito…..hehe….he wants attention…

y r ppl acting like pac dominated Bradley? pac destroyed Barrera Diaz Hatton cotto etc! big difference! the Bradley fight was close 7-5 Pac in my opinion. tim was never hurt cotto was beaten to a bloody pulp by manny but yall would rather watch that again right? n don’t tell me cotto was weight drained I kno that the rm will b the same w Pac asking for it to b at
150. the fight should b at 154 if Manny feels like coming in at 150 that’s up to him cotto should b able to come in at 154.

Hagler-Antuofermo should have gone to Hagler in what was not a bad fight and the result was a draw not a loss for Hagler. A different era with not so many options with fewer organizations. That was for the undisputed world champ.
Anyway, I think that Paq fighting Cotto again would give more fuel to the “retread whiners”. So fight someone new.

Posted August 20, 2012 3:20 pm

Seems like Bradley loves to flatter himself but he conveniently forgot one small detail, he’s actually a low reward fight which is why Pacquiao, nearly at the end of his storied boxing career, will rather not deal with chump change in fighting Helmet Bradley, because that is all Bradley brings to the table. Nobody wants to see it. In fact, no one wanted to see since before the fight got made and they are less interested now. Anyone with an objective view who is completely unbiased knows full well Pacquiao beat that ass hands down. Ninety nine percent of internet websites, fans and reputable writers including those on ESPN cannot be argued with. The numbers don’t lie. Bradley better go fishing the most profitable fight he think he may get, but getting paid the way he was against Pac is not happening again… time soon if ever.

E in Denver

Bradley didn’t win but he did finish strong. If Bradley did break his foot in the fight he performed very well in the last few rounds. He should break his foot earlier & maybe he can pull off a deserved win. I really don’t have a problem with a NON-PPV rematch. Arum can/should foot the bill. That said, All of Marquez’s fights with Pac were more worthy of “offical”(if not unoffical) victories.

Posted August 20, 2012 3:10 pm

There were far worse decisions in Boxing HIstory than Pacquiao-Bradley, and they resulted in rematches… Lewis-Holyfield I was unbelievably horrible.. Muhammad Ali even demanded air time and blasted the decision.. Hagler-Antuofermo I left everyone flabbergasted and looking at each other in disbelief.. Rematches happened. Do the rematch …. It will be a much better fight because Pacquiao is going to leave no stone unturned in leaving Bradley out on the canvas–to emphatically wipe out this phony loss …. Bradley will be blood boiling angry and fit to be tied. He will put up the greatest fight of his life trying to prove he’s no fake Welterweight Champion — before he gets knocked out by a savage, pitiless, vengeful Pacquiao.

Posted August 20, 2012 12:16 pm

He could fight Garcia, he’s not a “retread”. Both PBF and Manny have been guilty of taking on retreads, it’s easy with all the options they have with all of the organizations. Manny though is still as innocent(or as guilty) as PBF when it comes to using PEDS until proven otherwise.

hahahahahahahaha no clue! give up on the PED’s thing loser! nothing ever proved and nothing ever will be! Mayweather is just as much of a suspect as Pac or anyone else! his performances have been declining in the past 3-4 years as well!

Posted August 20, 2012 11:57 am

Fighting the same old retreads who won`t ask for ODT is the way that Bob Arum protected and explained away Pacquiao`s suspected PED abuse. It`s how Arum beat boxing`s weak drug-testing policy with all of it`s chain of loopholes and made a mockery of the sport. It`s so obvious that fighting retreads is the way Arum has protected Pacquiao`s PED abuse that even a baby can see it .It`s not money because you can buy a lot of burgers and french fries with the millions that Pacquiao already has in the bank.

Posted August 20, 2012 11:51 am

the only reason he is high risk is because he is protected by Dodge decisions! Bradley is and always has been a B level fighter! average skill, no power, rescued by referee’s and now by judges as well! what a bore he is!

Posted August 20, 2012 11:41 am

I’d say arum is worth kajillions…..but Pacquaio has developed some enormous appetites since he hit the big time. He has donated a massive amount to building a hospital of two back home….and any other local operation that can get to him for donations….He also has become quite a high roller gambler(some say the reason the last fight didn’t start on time…is because Pac wanted to see the results of an NBA game which he had be a nickle or so on)
Unlike the Klitschkos or Larry Holmes…..Pacquaio gives his money away…..where as these guys are into revenue properties like casinos….office buildings..apartiments…and like that.

Pacquaio is used to being the MAN…but if those multi million dollar gates don’t keep comming……Pacquiao will join the ranks of many a former Pro athlete…and have nothing to maintain such a lifestyle.
Arum is rich….I’m not so sure about Pacquaio anymore

pbf is in much the same situation….taxes and cost of having his entourage……not to mention legal bills….can shrink those bankrolls faster than you think

Posted August 20, 2012 11:27 am

of course….those fine upstanding …pillers of society that run the brain trust for pbf would never skip Pacquaio(how many times now) and declare Pacquaio is used goods….got beat….lost his Title….

and hasn’t resolved the matter , because he refuses to fight Bradley again . Not a chance…..these guys got far too much fkn class for that……right ??!??

Golden boy promotions sucks

B RED, stop nut hugging and realize that an independent panel of judges from different parts of the world judged it for pac. These judges werent paid off by corrupt promoters and saw the fight as they should have. As for Bradley, that boy is garbage and so is his trash talk.

Posted August 20, 2012 11:07 am

Manny should ignore him and just leave as a case of a bad decision. Sure Bradley wants another bout W-L-or draw
it’s big bucks. The bout with may will never happen so Packy should maybe think about another opponent such as
Garcia or Judah, Rios, some Jr. Welt., even Khan might be a good money maker.

Bradley made Pac look like the one dimensional fighter that he is. Bradley had tremendous defense and out slicked Pac at times. The fight was no robbery and could have gone either way. I personally had it 7-5 for Pac . Imagine Bradley fighting with 2 good legs. Time would win a unanimous dec

You can’t blame Bradley for trying to get that 10 million $$$ rematch purse…with dat payday he could continue fighting low level fighters for a few more years… Pacman needs to be carefully matched or his final big Pay Day against mayweather will be gone…

How much money do you need ? How much money has Pac made with Arum, a gazillion dollars. The truth is,it`s not about money. Both Arum and Pac are worth 100 million dollars. The real reason that they don`t want to fight Bradley is because Bradley will beat Pac with two good feet.

I must say that as a Pacquiao fan I’m pissed off and THIS TIME I’m not buying into Arum’s HYPE JOB!!! Arum’s known since before Pac vs Bradley one EVEN HAPPENED that Bradley would be Pac’s next fight. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a hand in the B/S dicision too. I love Pacquiao, but this B/S … is ….well… .B/S. Bradley doesn’t honestly believe Pac is afraid of him. He’s being fed lines from Arum to spew. I’m a diehard Pacquiao fan… and even when he fights Bradley again I’ll want to watch, but this Hype crap sucks… and I don’t think they’re fooling anyone.

Pac vs cotto II could really spark some excitement among real boxing fans if it takes place at 150′ or higher, and it’ll sell to the masses. Cotto is a mutual opponent of pac and mayweather so it could be an interesting prelude to the megafight.

Posted August 20, 2012 4:24 am

Marquez is too dangerous for pac at this stage and could easily derail a mayweather megafight (if it even exists). Timothy bradley is always gonna be awkward for any fighter and he’s simply not popular enuf.

Posted August 20, 2012 4:20 am

Right now Cotto is the easier opponent for pac because of his style, and he can draw more ppv to the fight. This will be an easy choice for arum.

Posted August 20, 2012 1:30 am

I’m sure everyone watch the fight more than once and its really easy to say round by round Bradley was getting tagged hard more often than Manny. Also the rounds that Bradley won is a slim margin, which Manny also in some rounds seems to be in the same boat, very slim margin. But what’s evident is Manny really gave the most harder punches and Bradley was absorbing it really well.
Overall, Manny controlled the majority of the rounds and the Bradley rounds was few and if its owned by Bradley some of those were also questionable. It really was a fluke fight and decision just like what majority have said so many times over.

Posted August 20, 2012 1:22 am

Pacman won that fight; but it was a lot closer than many people thought. I’ve watched it several times; and I personally don’t get the hoopla about this HUGE ROBBERY. It wasn’t a HUGE ROBBERY.

Posted August 20, 2012 1:04 am

Don’t get me wrong, I do think Pac won the fight, but I still maintain that it was close. Bradley landed some decent shots (especially body shots), that didn’t really hurt Pac but they landed nonetheless (i.e. if it came down to hurting people, Bradley would’ve barely won a fight in his career).
I remember on my scorecard I had enough “arguable” rounds that if I gave them all to Bradley I would’ve got the scores the judges awarded to him. If I gave all arguable rounds to Pac, then he would’ve won by a pretty large margin. It seems most people thought that all of those swing rounds were Pac rounds, hence the thought that he dominated the fight. I just don’t see it that way… a primary example of how people view swing rounds was already evident in the opening round… people made out that Pac clearly won the first round, but the fact was, he missed the few shots he threw (especially the ones at the end of the round that the commentators ejaculated over) so there is no way it was anywhere near a clear round for him.

But out of your reasons for the fix, the Mayweather one is the only one that floats for me… I could agree with you on that being a potential factor. But the others just don’t add up since the rematch is clearly not on Arum’s agenda.

The fight was an easy one for PACMAN. Bradley was well behind the entire fight and everyone knew it including Desert Storm.
What a big head and a bigger mouth. I’ve lost all respect for him and Arum.

Posted August 19, 2012 11:52 pm

Bradleys defence? Now I will grant you that there were not many punches landed in the fight but Bradley didn’t land anything at all, he was clearly afraid Pacman. He did not want to engage the entire fight, and when he did he did not get the the better of it. It was not a close fight, Pacman won it. Reasons for fixing it: Pacquiao wouldn’t make a fight with Mayweather because he wanted a 50/50 split, Arum fixes it by making him lose so he would have to accept a less than 50/50 because in the end that fight makes millions and Arum makes a ton. Another reason, make Pacman lose to someone he clearly beat so there is a rematch with a foe that is not dangerous. Another reason, controversy gets press for a fight that was not interesting because Bradley in not an exciting fighter. If that doesn’t agree with you then lets just say that boxing judges are idiots as they always have been.

Get over it. It was a fix and you were taken. Apparently, so was Bradley!

Posted August 19, 2012 11:11 pm

Pac-Bradley was NOT a fix. It was a close decision (that I thought Pac deserved by one round) that went to Bradley. Bradley’s defence in that fight has been overlooked so much that it’s criminal. Landing a big left hand on a glove, shoulder or air is NOT a scoring punch.

And can anyone explain to me why Top Rank (or anyone else) would fix this fight for Bradley? What is the advantage? The ONLY advantage I could’ve imagined was to force a rematch (i.e. another in-house Top Rank fight), but Arum sure doesn’t look to be headed in that direction. So in that light, what benefit was there to him or anyone (other than Bradley) fixing the fight?
Or is everyone saying that someone fixed the fight just for the fun of it?

I agree. If PAC won so easily shouldn’t he want a rematch to reclaim the title. I think the rematch would make a lot more money than the first fight. The question is will pacquaio look any better. I really believe that Marquez has laid out the blueprint to defeat PAC. If you can time him and punch with him you really take away a lot of pacs advantages. Even though PAC throws punches from a lot of different angles his lack of defense is making him out to be a one dimensional fighter. If Bradley only had pure power he would knock Bradley out. It would really be an outrage to boxing if there is no rematch

Posted August 19, 2012 9:46 pm

People won’t tune into Pacquiao-Bradley 2, because they’ll know it’ll be a fix like the first one.

Posted August 19, 2012 9:22 pm

That may be your opinion …and you are entitled to it !!!
I think Bradley is a very good fighter….and at welterweight….is fast enough to get by the goon squad…( he don’t get hit)
He’s flashy and can land leather on target……..not a big banger…true.
He has kept his nose to the grindstone….been busy…so far as I know he lives a clean and private life….

Why is this man…..Bradley being persecuted in any way shape or form ???

You folks that think the match was a travesty of bad judging….OK…do the rematch…Pacquaio will learn the kid good and that will be that….plus he’ll make lotsa money

For you folks that think Bradley won…well …do it once…do it twice…Pac fights come in pretty big on the sales end… Bradley could make some serious coin on the rematch……….so long as he doesn’t sign to fight in a six foot ring….he’ll be just fine

Posted August 19, 2012 9:10 pm

Southpaw got the rounds on the target on that one…!!!
You watch that fight with the sound off…and an open mind…you’ll see that Bradley did very well….and ….IMHO won the match with a close decision….he just out worked Pacquiao…and didn’t get caught….sorta like the first Leon Spinks vs Ali thing…..althought Pacquaio was in much better condition than was Ali….he was not the usual accurate combo killer we’ve come to know and love….again…IMHO

Posted August 19, 2012 9:01 pm

Dino….I hope arum is paying you by the letter….not the logic

Bradley came he fought and won a decision….and wants to do the rematch required by law….not to mention what MOST fight fans want to see….a BRADLEY REMATCH WITH PACQUIAO…….sorta like ALI VS LEON SPINKS….THE REMATCH…

Pac running scared? Tim, I never knock a fighters courage and determination, but you lost big. Never mind the posters here saying it was close, it wasn’t. For some unknown political reason(s) you have the title, but you most certainly never won it in the ring. Even Manny couldn’t hold back a disgusted smirk. After this we then had the ridiculous decision in the Olympics with Joshua winning Gold. I’ve lived and loved this art for over two decades, but like a human couple, we may part and go separate ways. I’m getting fed up with all of it.

How did he make an ass out of himself. Not only did he stand his ground, but he showed a really good defense as well. PAC never even came close to knocking Bradley out. I’m not taking anything away from PAC , but Bradley fought a great fight in my opinion

Posted August 19, 2012 8:38 pm

some good posts here……Me…I think the biggest fight would be Pacquaio and Bradley.
The controversy alone would send the sales up through the ceiling. The Dempsey rematch with Gene Tunney …..who won the first one with a decision…the rematch gave us the LONG COUNT…and the rest is HISTORY.

Bradley didn’t do anything wrong ….but Pacquaio….who had that man right in front of him all night long….failed to overwhelm Bradley. ……and SOMEBODY was laying leather on Pacquaio…welts and marks and bruises on Pacquaio….;not so much if at all….on Bradley

REEEEMAAATTTCCHHH anything else just doesn’t make sense…..except to good ol warm and friendly, kind and compassionate bob arum

Posted August 19, 2012 8:05 pm

Like I said before, Bradley is getting the short end of the stick here. He won the fight, was promised the rematch, and is getting crap from fans cause he wants the rematch. Bradley isn’t the one at fault here. He may not be elite, but his work ethic, and the fact that he comes into fights in top shape, makes him deserving of fighting anyone. And that includes Manny Pacquiao.

Posted August 19, 2012 7:10 pm

The fight closer than how the HBO fight crew called it, but there was just no way to score the fight in favor of Bradley. Moreover, his performance was uninspiring & unspectacular. There was nothing about his performance that made me think “I can’t wait to see Bradley fight again”. And outside of the controversial decision, there was nothing about that fight that makes want to see them fight again.

And for those of you who are so sure Manny won this fight without question, don’t forget that Manny chose to fight sparingly throughout the fight. That alone is very uncharacteristic of Pac. Fighters who chose to fight in spots, often end up losing rounds they otherwise would have won. If the HBO broadcast crew would have been less biased, most would have seen the fight much closer. Now, Bradley better get the rematch he was promised, or find himself another promotion team.

The Mad Scientist

I gave Pacquiao rounds 2 through 6 with Manny clearly winning rounds 3,4 and 5 wich was the most telling part of the bout and this is the reason why most fans think Manny won handedly..I wouldn’t say Bradly swept through rounds 7 through 12 hands down but if the judges awarded him all those rounds I wouldn’t call it insanity either..Tim Bradley seemed the busier of the two fighters in the second half of the fight outboxing Manny and slipping and dodging most of Pacquiao punches along the way..Im not saying Tim won the fight but IMO the fight wasn’t a highway robbery like most claim..

Posted August 19, 2012 5:51 pm

It’s pretty sad seeing fans played like puppets by Arum. You guys are putting the blame on Bradley, when the culprits were really Arum and Pacquaio. Bradley was just an innocent bystander, used by top rank in order to keep from fighting Mayweather. Hell, Top Rank already had promised Bradley a 2nd fight with Pacquiao, before the first fight took place. And if you don’t think Pacquiao was in on the whole thing, please tell me why he only fought 30 seconds of every round? Bradley is the one getting screwed over right now, cause he was promised the 2nd fight, and now Pacquiao’s backing out of it. This is total BS, once again from Top Rank.
