There is no evidence that PED use is destroying Boxing… I knew Berto would eventually test positive because of his association with Conte. I don’t know who Erik Morales is hooked up with or who came him the dirty stuff. The other high profile case were a boxer tested positive was Fernando Vargas …

Funny.. ALL of the above boxers lost their fights so the junk didn’t do them any good.. Toney would have beaten John Ruiz easily without the aid of PED’s.. But he used them and negated his efforts—and the efforts of everyone in his training camp.. Sucker.

The use of drugs of enhancement are beginning to destroy boxing.Records can no longer be kept honestly. Too bad. Once boxers learn how to use them, their ability to grow skills always comes into question .Over enhancement takes away the natural skills of the boxer.Boxers born with good natural skills can have them destoyed by strength trainers who have very little if any knowledge of the sports” born skills”. No telling how many amatuer boxers and coaches today do not understand this. In order to build” taught skills” around a boxers natural skills at an elite level, one must be knowledgable enough about fundamental correctness, and have good evaluaton skills , knowing how to teach the many variations needed for that boxer to be as good as that boxer can be. The complete boxer or fighter today is as rare as a buffalo being shot with an errow .OVER- ENHANCEMENT is prominant in todays boxing world. It leans to FACE-FIGHTING and extremely limits a boxers ability to ever be as good as he can be. …..God bless….kenny weldon

I just dont see Guerrero winning this fight. He’s coming up a weight class that he has no business in. This is where the money is and perhaps this will be his biggest payday but he could’ve done it at light weight. He’ll have his hands full with Berto. Bertos’ very fast and very strong. Guerrero is going to have a diffiicult time. But I do wish him all the luck and it would be paramount if he did win. It would be terrible for Berto if he loses.

This fight will prove to the boxing world what the ghost is truly made of…can he take a punch, deliver a punch to a natural welter and can he go the distance. Berto(although a cheater) had proven to be a better than good boxer and is extremely fast and strong(but does buckle when hit flush) This fight has the potential to be great…or Berto will end it in about the 5th to 6th…cause Berto gets frustrated when fights go the distance.

Anonymous – are you talking about Chavez Chicken Jr? or MargaCheato?

This fight will finally show us who Robert Guerrero is.

I am a Boxer, I am going to gamble and use steroids, if I get caught, so what, it will be ok, they will just say how I fight without steroids, forgetting how I got here, fighting for World title fights. What about the fighters who didn’t get there, fighting clean in the pre matchups, against the steroid users who got the contracts.

You people who keep mentioning it, it’s only a bit of PED, don’t keep mentioning trivial things.

I condone steroid use, go Berto,Peterson etc.

The only thing the lack of sterroids will affect is Berto’s stamina. Robert’s got decent boxing skills but he’s no where near as fast as Andre and FAR less powerful. I’m picking Berto by KO. Andre’s got good skills and I consider him to be a A level fighter. Robert’s a B level guy.

yeah, but berto without the roids could be a different berto indeed. we shall see.

Yep. I agree. Berto should prove too big, strong, and fast for the Ghost. It’s put up or shut up time for Guerrero. He wanted a big fight at welter to set up a shot at Floyd or Manny, and now he’s got it against Berto. Be careful what you wish for…

MNboxingFAN – Sean

I forgot that this was this Sat. Happy Thanksgiving to boxing fans! Awesome. I’m picking Berto. I think he’s just to big and fast. We’ll see. Guerrero has a good chin, but it’s going to get tested. This should be a good fight… hell I’d love to be wrong and see it go the distance!
