Algieri LAMEPosted July 31, 2014 1:41 pm
Manny beat, Cotto, Oscar, Hatton and Mosley but when Floyd beat all the same guys they were cherry picked? How are these fighters good for one and not the other? Marquez got his ass handed to him by Floyd but when he KTFO of Manny he was on PEDS? idiots make excuses for Mannys short coming and hate on Floyds wins, Manny is the one who walks away from a fight in 09 with Floyd and MW is the one scared? its amazing how these so called grown men cry over Manny like a biiootch once again he has to beat the best to be the best and right now he is struggling with bums.Posted July 31, 2014 11:28 am
I am curious how people talk about Manny fighting Floyd when he is clearly avoiding fighters? Especially Marquez 5 Manny was flat lined. If he cannot get past old ass Marquez what make you think Floyd is afraid of him? Manny wants no parts of Marquez again or anyone else who is not a top contender and Marquez is a bum and Koed him…Posted July 31, 2014 11:12 am

Why does Manny not fight other qaulity fighters like Danny Garcia, Mattysse, Broner or even Canelo? He cries for Floyd but fights bums intead of the bst out there problem is people dont respect the guys he is facing these days. People think he is taking the safe way until a Floyd wants to fight him. Manny should fight the best out there that way Floyd would have no choice but to fight him because it will be a mega fight right now Manny is going about it wrong people dont respect him they think he lost it he has alot to prove and Im sorry but Algieri in China wont to sht for his legacy or his place among the greats. He needs a real fight not the Rios, Bradley and MarquezPosted July 30, 2014 10:43 pm
Fool’s my friend, Manny Pacquiao makes millions every single fight. A $40 million payday against Mayweather would have been a slap in the face. Manny wanted and deserved the lion’s share. He was the clear draw. Regardless, he made the following, which don’t seem like pennies to me: Rios $40 million, Marquez $30 million, Bradley $20 million, Marquez $20 million, Mosely $20 million, Margarito $25 million, Cotto, $14 million, Hatton, $12 million, Oscar $21 million. And fights previous to these, he made more millions, so that $40 million offer from Mayweather was a joke. Since then, he’s quadrupled that number. As I stated before, he’s going to make another $30-$40 million on his next fight. He makes $10-$15 million on endorsement each year. Money is not an issue for the great Manny Pacquiao. He is the most celebrated athlete of all time. He is the People’s Champion forever and will be recognized by the vast majority of boxing so called experts and fans. Manny fought them all, which is something Floyd Mayweather can never say. Manny Pacquiao is by far the better fighter and person. Boxing will rise again when Manny Pacquiao steps abck into the ring in November. Manny is the best!

Hecdumb dog you still crying over Manny? Since when is 40 million chump change? And where the hell else can Manny get 40 million for one fight? How about never he blew his shot he never made 40 million for one fight in his life. Floyd on the other had went on to make 300 million. And if Manny makes million why does he owe out the ass to the U.S. and the Philippines? just curious to know who needs who right now? Floyd fights sell out Vegas and Manny fights in unheard parts of ChinaPosted July 30, 2014 10:34 pm
Algieri looks better in Hollywood that beating he took from Ruslan. Pacquiao will finish that task, Algieri will get a good payday, exposure and ride to Hollywood after. Hopefully Pacquiao doesn’t damage his face.Posted July 30, 2014 8:37 pm
@Hecdog Manny has NEVER made $40M in a fight.Posted July 30, 2014 8:00 pm
Manny Pacquiao will never have to worry because he’s one of the most popular guys in the world. Ever hear of tax forgiveness? Joe Louis got a lot of it. Ali did. Tyson did. I’m sure Manny will work something out with both the governments of the Phillipines and the US.
Meanwhile everyone knows that May-Pac is still the biggest fight out there… Funny thing is, if Algieri somehow upsets Pacquiao, he’ll step in front of Porter and Thurman for a Floyd fight.. That’s a certainty.. Greenhorn vs FloydPosted July 30, 2014 5:46 pm
Manny is broke he owes the U.S. and the Philippines at the same time he makes millions but clearly he has poor advisers and handlers and is 100 million in the hole. Floyd never needed Manny he career continues to sore without the fight. Manny on the other hand fights bums. Rios, Bradley, Algieri even Marquez no one respects these guys. Beating them wont get him to the top there is no short cuts in this game. And the public has short term memory so forget how he destroyed in 09 its 2014 now he is reduced to fighting in China and his ppvs numbers are all time low the public has spoken they are too smart to let Arum pull the wool over they eyes Manny is smoke and mirrors. Poor pacturds, Arum has made Pacquiao millions of dollars throughout his welterweight career. Even now, when Pac’s popularity is probably at an all time low (and it’s really not that low), Pac still earn millions of dollars (at least in the teens) for each fight. Who would walk away from a guaranteed income like that?
I also used to think that Arum owned Pac but the reality is, I think, that they have a very good working relationship and friendship.Posted July 30, 2014 10:55 am

Manny is a bum nothing without roids ask Marquez 50/50 lol he is not getting 40 million for no other fight out there. Floyd dont 50/50 with no one and as broke as Manny is I bet he would take less. And do drug testing either way he gets his ass handed to him easy. Everyone has called him out but he fight Algieri a bum who Arum hand picked no wonder why he is irrelevant. I hope the fight does happen I stand to get rich because there are plenty of pactards who will bet. Manny could even KO Rios who stood right in front of him all night nor feather fisted Bradley. He will make easy work of MannyPosted July 30, 2014 1:20 am
no juice no big fights Manny hasnt Koed anyone since 09, anyone can see he is off the juice he is exposed now there is drug testing and tax problems so he runs his ass to 3rd world China he is the biggest hype job in the sport he is running from U.S. taxes and drug testing simple. teflon is stupid
There was no contract for 40 million produced… If you really want to fight, put your negotiating team out there and negotiate a contract. The fight would draw at least 300 million in revenues so you get your people together and iron out the details.
Every time Manny agreed to everything Floyd wanted – there were new barriers erected… Anytime Floyd grows a pair he could get a fight with Pacquiao — but he never wanted one.Posted July 29, 2014 11:37 pm
Of course Manny wants to fight him now Hecdog he is broke of course he will do anything Floyd wants now that he is a desperate man, Floyd is laughing at him he might beat his ass before he retires and idiots like you will say he waited to Manny was past his prime and if he dont fight Manny he is scared poor pacturds, Manny needs a handout now that his fights are not selling and his stock has dropped in the U.S. Floyd please save me, Floyd could carless he made 70 million fighting Miadana alone…Posted July 29, 2014 11:21 pm
$40 million was pennies compared to what that fight was going to bring in? He takes the next fight which was to Marquez and 20 million only to get KTFO brilliant lol.. Name one other fighter that would turn down 40 million over drug testing or better yet Manny will never make 40 million fight anyone esle moron, he is done. How Manny big fights are in his future? You just said Algieri was a big fight lol. He walked away from 40 million, Manny and Arum manipulated testing retard. Now he fights in China that has no testing and U.S. laws or drug testing for that matter and he dont have to pay taxes and, Manny was on the juicePosted July 29, 2014 10:50 pm
Manny Pacquiao would destroy the following fighters easily? But he cant destroy Marquez lol he is a 40 year old bum and gives Manny hella problems every time they fight he was KTFO. Porter, Thurman, Garcia and head and shoulders over Marquez ass tard. But somehow Floyd is afraid along with everyone else? The guys you mentioned Manny will never fight because Arum is protecting him you are a idiot and a delusional moron. Manny once again I guarantee you three things, Manny will never fight in the U.S. again, He will never fight top caliber fighters and he will never do a random blood testing.Posted July 29, 2014 9:59 pm
Every fighter deserves a tune up fight every now and then, but won’t this be Pacquiao’s 2nd tune up fight within 3 fights? Speaking of which, does RIos have to be Diego Chavez in dramatic fashion, just to prove he wasn’t a tune up for pac, and he really had a chance to win?Posted July 29, 2014 7:58 pm

Algieri beat a better fighter than Porter, Thurman, or Brook ever faced.
That’s a bit simplistic because Chris would never beat those 3 guys…not with his current experience at the world level. But the facts remain, Algieri is an undefeated World Champion — and he’s a very intelligent, articulate, and presentable college educated and extremely confident guy — who the fans will like once the publicity and promotional hype machines get revved up.
Who the Hell is Algieri??? The hype machine will soon let you know.
Those were the main considerations of the promoters… Algieri has a great story.Posted July 29, 2014 6:02 pm

Don’t let the matinee idol, looks deceive the boxing world. He can be a survivor from Ruslan remember, he gave him a beating. He won from attraction of the judges toward him. He boxed good. Pacquiao is different breed. Ruslan fights one way only, Pacquiao is killer instinct. This fight is made because of Algieri good looks first white attraction after Arturo Gatti. I doubt Pacquiao loses to this kid. Pacquiao is greatness in the boxing world, elite.Posted July 29, 2014 5:48 pm

Fighting in China to avoid US taxes just shows you how broke Manny is. ‘Rob’ Arum is RAPING and has been RAPING Pacquiao for years, he owes ‘Rob’ Arum money, otherwise, what logical reason does a well known “PPV Star” have for sticking with Arum? I mean, other men have tried (and successfully) jumped ship, Arum is a greedy dirt bag, Mikey Garcia saw him try and slip in “manager” duties into his contract in order to control him completely. Screw ‘Rob’ Arum & Top StankPosted July 29, 2014 11:48 am

Algieri has to knock out Pacquiao to win the way Marquez had to do. Doing well and going the distance isn’t going to do it. I’m a big Manny fan but even I have to admit that his last two fights he has shown some signs of age and not too much pop. Yes he beat up the human punching bag Rios and he out classed Bradley in a sparring session. That something that made Pacquiao must see TV is gone. Mayweather showed signs against Maidana of slowing down. Neither are must see PPVs and no matter how well you do against Pacquiao, Mayweather, Garcia, or Canelo you will never get a decision.Posted July 29, 2014 11:34 am

Pacquiao is being fed a guy he should be able to put a serious beating on… Algieri had his face wrecked by Provo with ONE shot so if Manny is still Manny he should be able to get to this kid and show him the difference between an elite fighter and a one trick pony like Provo… Algieri is a gutsy guy but he is not a true World Class fighter if Manny cannot take him apart then it might really be time for Pac Man to hang them up…Posted July 29, 2014 10:21 am
Algieri may be able to outbox Pacquaio. Often fear of an opponent wins the fight before it even happens. But if a boxer isn’t afraid (Douglas and Tyson) and he has excellent boxing skills, he often does beat a come-forward puncher. I would like to see Algieri win that one.Posted July 29, 2014 10:13 am

Its WISE but its bad for the Fans. You could have taken the Broner Fight, the Garcia Fight, the Matthysse Fight, the Thurman Fight, the Porter Fight, or the Guerrero Fight. Step UP your level

Doubt it… Algieri will likely get his ass beaten… but he’s going to be bringing it big time. He’s a very serious man who wants the upset. He’s got the world stage he wanted and won’t leave that ring without doing his level best.
So is Pacquiao.. He doesn’t want this upstart to beat him for certain.. You can expect a lot of punches thrown and landed in this fight.Posted July 28, 2014 11:26 pm
Algieri better train hard & keep his mouth shut. That kind of overconfidence may cost him the fight. Pacquio may be older, but certainly wiser and more experienced. He’s not finished yet.Posted July 28, 2014 10:34 pm

This pundit hates Pacquiao..
Pacquiao has been doing this a long time… He’s a master with over 60 professional fights.
Algieri fought nobody but Provodnikov. He’s a greenhorn.. His experience matches up very poorly versus Pacquiao’s
Algieri’s got 20 fights and a bunch of kickboxing matches. Kickboxing combatants tend to damage their feet and legs because they’re kicking with their bare feet and shins. Their hands are OK because they wear gloves like a boxer.
These guys sometimes get into Boxing when their feet and legs can’t take the punishment anymore… Vitali Klitschko is a good example. At one point he had to take 4 years off from his professional boxing career to rehab his legs.
Algieri is a very serious athlete… He just doesn’t have the skills.Posted July 28, 2014 8:53 pm

This guy still lives at home with his parents . Pacquaio s parents kicked him to the streets when he was14 because they could nt afford to feed him . InterestingPosted July 28, 2014 8:49 pm

Gentlemen, I’ve had enough of this fairy tale story guy, Chris Algieri. He’s starting to act like he’s something special and his ego and pompous personality are becoming very transparent. I though the guy was okay, and I enjoyed watching him pull off the Rocky story against Provodnikov, but now it’s going to his head. I’ve read all kinds of quotes on how he’ll beat the Legendary Manny Pacquiao because he’s more athletic, stronger, faster and is the natural bigger guy with longer arms. He says he’s no Margarito, and on and on this foolish man talks. I don’t understand why fighters can’t model Manny Pacquiao’s humble personality and character. Chris Algieri is going to get what he deserves. A straight left hand right on the chin, and he can pack it in right after. Let me just talk a little bit about the living legend and greatest pure fighter of all time. Manny Pacquiao’s illustrious career has been a hot topic a long, long time. I was looking through some of the Ring Magazines that I have gathered over the years. Great fighters like Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis, Roberto Duran and others laced the covers. I ran into one, two, three and four that had Manny Pacquiao on the cover. These are classics that will more than hold their value as time goes on. Manny Pacquiao, as all of you know, accomplished the Greatest Individual Athletic Achievement in sports by winning 8 division boxing championships. This is a miraculous accomplishment that will stand the test of time. This mighty feat dwarfs Bill Russell’s 11 NBA titles, Wilt Chamberlin’s 100 points in a game and Joe Dimaggio’s 56 game hitting streak, and I say this with all due respect to these great athletes. Manny Pacquiao brought the sport of boxing back on to the world stage. Fans flocked from all four corners of the earth like a swarm of locusts. In short, “Manny Mania” came to life. Manny Pacquiao’s meteoric rise was a breath of fresh air for the world. How could such a nice, honest, charming, loving, caring, respectful person literally take over the toughest sport all by himself? Ali took it over because he has was brash, an Olympic Gold medalist and his mouth took over the headlines. He had friends and enemies. He spoke his mind, and his beautiful boxing skills were the best of his time. Manny Pacquiao attracts the world by using his magnetic persona that magnifies both the look of the predator inside the ring and the prey outside of it. One is a monster while the other is like a stuffed animal that you won at the fair and everyone wants to touch it.
Manny Pacquiao is a highly skilled athlete. He’s a natural born puncher with unorthodox boxing skills that bewilder his opponents. They can’t worry about one thing when they face him. Manny has extraordinary speed of hand and foot and destructive power that cannot be measured. His feints and punches are lightning fast, and if you poll his opponents, they all respond by saying “I can’t see his punches.” His defense is criticized by some fans, but the truth is that Manny can make you miss any time he wants. He’s as elusive as the legendary monster, Bigfoot. The last 2 years have been somewhat difficult for the global icon both inside and outside the ring. Some say he’s broke, but the truth is that he is a money making machine, and has resolved his tax issues. In his two most recent fights against Brandon Rios and Timothy Bradley, Manny Pacquiao earned $50 million dollars. He is currently preparing for this decade’s most anticipated fight against unbeaten Chris Algeri, which will earn Manny $30 million plus. I don’t think that sounds like a broke man to me. Fans around the world love this man. His peers in boxing admire, respect and look forward to all of his fights. They love this man because he puts his heart and soul into every fight he is involved in. He fights everyone, and avoids no one. A man of courage that isn’t afraid to lose, but would rather please his fans. Manny Mania is comparable to the invention of Pepsi Cola back in 1893. Everyone at that time and since has continued their love affair with the soft drink, and the same goes with Manny Pacquiao fans, they will continue to embrace and love their fighter to the end. Trust me when I say this. Manny Pacquiao is a monument that will one day have his own Mt Rushmore that will be called Mt. Pacquiao. Manny is the best!Posted July 28, 2014 5:13 pm
Pac Man should be able to tear Algieri a new one, if he loses somehow retirement is the only dignified choice.Posted July 28, 2014 4:56 pm
The oracle of Delphi
Hahaha, good joke. Pac will nail him good. And Rob Smith, Pac own fights 2 and 3 against Marquez. The 3rd fight could have been a draw. It ‘s pretty even between these 2 guys, who match up well.Posted July 28, 2014 4:34 pm
