@ Love-the-Sport

I completely agree. Why risk a young boxer’s future? I really hope that Algieri can put up a solid performance and not get badly hammered. Hey, he might surprise us all.

RUSSAIN by powerful TKO
Chris is a good boxer but how long can he hold off the mad RUSSAIN
The kid can circle and jab RUSSAIN but not every round as the RUSSAIN will cut him off and start landing bombs.

RUSSAIN ……”I must break you”

Mixed feelings.

On the one hand, I want Provodnikov to keep kicking butt and getting big knockouts. That is good for boxing and good for boxing fans.

On the other hand, Chris Algieri is a good young fighter and this is probably too big a test. Provodnikov beating up on a good young fighter is bad for boxing and bad for boxing fans.

This fight makes more sense for Chris Algieri in 2-3 years.

Another case of bad matchmaking.

Since I root for the underdog, then I guess I am rooting for Chris Algieri to box and use head movement, a jab and double jab, and good body shots to f*ck-up Provodnikov and f*ck-up the idiot promoters who set up the fight.

It would be bad for boxing. But it would serve those idiots right. They would get what they deserve.

It’ll be interesting to see how Rose fairs against Andrad.
