It doesn’t matter wut Americans here think of Wlad. For one, most r nationalist, many of whom r also racist against him. Over the next three years, and by the time he retires, his accomplishments WILL STAND ALONE in the annuls of Heavyweight boxing history………

For the most part, Bustajay. The beginning of the show was a bit of a cluster-f**k.

Posted April 16, 2014 1:16 pm

Yeah but I guess when doing a live show it puts the pressure on bro. All in all JK and Gogue held it down for Joe.

I am really looking forward to the Klitschko-Pulev fight, but the fact that no one has ever come close to outpoint Wladimir, and that Pulevs defense isnt all that brilliant makes it hard to imagen an upset.

Posted April 16, 2014 6:12 pm

doc its all about sour grapes.
And you say wlad fights like his afraid of his own shadow oh dear. yes Wlad is so affraid that he but on brutal beatings on his opponents and often ends their career. By this logic you most really hate Mayweather. A fighter who’ s not even trying to stop his opponents.

That’s why they use a 10 year old photo for this story.

Posted April 16, 2014 5:59 pm

The heavyweight division is only a joke for those narrow minded Americans who hate European fighters who kick ass on Americans.

Posted April 16, 2014 5:58 pm

Pulev will hit wlad and will hit wlad good. It will be a good fight. Pulev is no small guy. His size is deceiving. Pulev has tried to put big guys in front of him. He has been training to fight Wlad. If Wlad loses, there will be no brother, Vitali, revenge. Wlad will have to fix it himself or retire. If Wald does not want to defend the IBF belt, put it up for grabs.

“why do people knock wlad.its not he”s fault the heavyweight era today is a joke.”

Oh, I don’t know. Why do I call him Wlean-on Klinchko?

@ Mo Box and babler – The fact that Wlad is non-American has nothing to do with why people dis-like him. People dis-like him because he fights like he is afraid of his own shadow, and has always failed when put under pressure. His brother Vital is also non-American, but gets much more credit because of his heart (which was also questioned after the Byrd fight, but redeemed following the Lewis fight). In fact the young Wlad (who blasted old Mercer, Monte Barret, Botha, Axel Schultz, etc, etc.) was a much more pleasing fighter to watch.

You will never hear about Ali’s boring rope dope or his loss to Leon Spinks or getting floored by Cooper etc. Its always about his best moments. America just wont credit Wladimar even though hes smart, always in top shape, and has been a model champ. IF HE KNOCKS them sill quickly like Austin hes criticized, if he beats on them for 12 rounds like the giant Wach hes criticized, if he systematically breaks them down and then ko’s them hes criticized. What America wants is for him to lose his title.

huckstеr аnd уou still tink thаt Kubrаt Pulеv will bеаt Wlаd..?

Posted April 16, 2014 3:24 am

exhaustion? Ali did the rope a dope. Brewster did come pound a coconut. wlad looks like he got caught by leaving himself open. pacman got caught.

Posted April 16, 2014 2:29 am

Brewster got the crap beat out of him by Siarhei Liakhovich and lost the WBO Belt in the beating. Nuff said.

Bradley was showboating more than boxing IMO

Posted April 15, 2014 9:05 pm

Bradley started off with some FIRE but ended up not being able to solve the puzzle from rd 4/5

I must be confused

Great cover photo

Posted April 15, 2014 8:55 pm

that fight was weird especially with everything that surrounded TARK pointed it out well. also don king was affiliated with the bout.

brewster prides himself on taking more punishment than wlad could dish but im not convinced thats all their was to it.

wlad dominated, had the aberation, then picked up where he left off and continued domination in the second fight. not only was he the first to drop brewster he did it twice. REAL KNOCKDOWNS.

the fight had a lot of unique things happen. the ref tripped wlad and ruled it a knock down. i never seen that before

mike s

I haven’t seen Klitschko get hit like that in a long long time

Wladimir won the first 4 rounds of the first Brewster fight, and floored Brewster, before unaccountably losing strength and power.. Wladimir was landing 400% more punches than Brewster in the first 3 rounds. He started slowing down unaccountably in the 4th and could barely stand up in the 5th.

Gamblers came in just before the fight and bet massively on Brewster.. They moved the odds dramatically and unprecendently — something Jim Lampley pointed out in the telecast because such heavy betting was so unusual … Millions of dollars were won on Brewster that night and he was a HUGE underdog.

Something else unusual happened… Wladimir’s blood work and samples taken at the hospital disappeared completely. We’ll find out on Judgment Day what happened.

Wladimir easily won the rematch — with Brewster quitting in his corner after putting up a lame effort. The 1st Brewster fight was Wladimir’s last loss, and it was 10 years ago … kind of funny that they would pick that particular picture to display for this story.

Let’s get the FACTS straight Vladimir Klitschko pounded the living daylights out of Lamon for the first FOUR rounds. He literally has not lost a round clearly in NINE years and would have given any heavyweight in HISTORY a hard out. Not saying he WINS them all but his size skill power and reach would have been a lot for a lot of the past heavy weights

Posted April 15, 2014 5:44 pm

Thanks for not calling the mutt an EXPERT TRAINER again. I know of at least 25 fighters that would argue the point. Really stop with him, you bring your whole program down, to dirt level. He has no shame or he would hide his head in the sand. Tell everyone John of the real mutt you are……. You hurt a lot of fighters and might have been fighters if they didn`t get involved with your pompous, selfish, half step-in ways.

Posted April 15, 2014 5:24 pm

Wlad pounded on Brewster in that first fight and got beat because of exhaustion from hitting that coconut head. He had won every round easily. Steward taught him how to not punch himself out and protect himself.

Posted April 15, 2014 5:16 pm

Please someone shoot me, not Scully AGAIN…… you must get paid to talk to him, ya that’s got to be it. I understand now and forgive you, everyone is entitled to make a living even if it is talking to and promoting a mutt in every sense of the word. John knows its true as does the people that really know him. This is one episode not worth hearing, I`ll wait till you get back JH.

fry up

f~k of LOL

Posted April 15, 2014 4:17 pm

Master Ken

Um.. Wlad never lost to Peter lol… And brewster won, but Brewster didn’t “brutally” beat him, he out punched himself and was done even before Brewster hit him..

Posted April 15, 2014 3:57 pm

wlad looked like from another planet in that pic?

Posted April 15, 2014 3:31 pm

Coz Toefairy is all talk and about a two and half classes lower than the Relentless Brewster when it comes to the art of SuperHW boxing :P

Posted April 15, 2014 2:56 pm

dont remember toe haye hitting wladi like that.

Posted April 15, 2014 2:31 pm

Lamon Brewster, the last American Heavyweight Champion! Was a hell of a mean relentless dude at his peak! Rookie Wlad that was all-agression little-defence obviously learned a lot from this brutal beating, I think defeat to Brewster and Peter’s first fight defined the Wlad of today – look at their remach and look at Wlad now, he’s like from another planet in comparison.

Posted April 15, 2014 2:30 pm

Khan’s Cuz Achmed

Something looks a little wrong with Wlad’s face in that photo…maybe he was poisoned?!?!? lol
