Im not sure about DW’s chin yet, and I have only seen one fight of Scotts, but DW has more POWER then anyone in the HW division at this point, maybe even WK, so I dont see Scott making to the closing bell. I will stick with my previous prediction, DW by KO in 7.

The Hungarian’s of the 14th century would have called DG a Taltos. Very cool!

It’s Me, Ernie

Oh yeah, Scott’s awesome line up of huge names he fought and his feather-fists say it all…

Posted March 14, 2014 1:44 pm

Malik Scott is 36-1 and his only loss was a robbery… He’s a very tough and worthy opponent for Wilder. A win is far from guaranteed — considering this is a giant step up in competition… Generally the progression in opponent ability is one HELL of a lot more gradual.

Malik Scott was ahead of Chisora on points when he got clipped behind the ear. He took a 9-count… but was ruled out by a house referee.

Scott stopped Bowie Tupow 22-1. He’s a better opponent than Alfredo Evangelista (14-2) ever faced prior to getting a title shot at Muhammad Ali.

Same with Richard Dunn, Brian London, Chuck Wepner, Jean Pierre Coopman, and a lot of other pathetic bums who got title shots against Ali — Malik Scott would have murdered all of them.

So you’re basically full of beans, boy.

Wilder is a bum.

Fight Aficionado

Big stepup for Wilder, who shouldn’t be lining up for a title shot. Scott is his first world class opponent and he’s a light hitter at that. Win this and he’s a legit top 20. That’s a long ways away from a legit contender.

Amazed that Wilder is one fight removed from a potential title shot.
This, after fighting arguably the worst set of fat, pot-bellied, OAP, no-bodies in the history of the heavyweight division.
He has not fought ANYONE of ANY substance, with even this fight not good enough really, especially when Scott has recently come of a loss to Chisora, whom himself is still a way off a title shot.
It is bums like Wilder, setting up tomato cans so he can look good knocking them down and receiving a potential title shot as a result, that is the true problem with this division.

Windmilling to the top

Early knockout win for Wilder, 4 rounds max.

Malik Scott is a good technician but he doesn’t have nearly enough power to keep Wilder off him. Fury put Scott down in sparring and Chisora floored him last year. A lot of people are gonna be surprised at how easily Deontay knocks him cold but not me.

Meant: if he KOs the guy who had a disputed decision with Glaskov.

Posted March 14, 2014 11:12 am

if Glaskov beats Adamek that will make Wilder look good if he KOs the guy who had a disputed decision with Scott.

Angel is more of the child, because Danny is superior to Angel. Angel’s offspring exceeded him in intelligence, and im sure they both know it. Thats probably why angel is over-the-top with his support. Unless their a pathetic racist POS, I enjoy animated people. They beat the heck out of flouridated, brain dead, cookie-cutter, followers. (I.E. Speedbumps).

well said Dan D. His father is an ass

Don’t like Garcia Sr. I want Danny Garcia to lose just to shut his father up. We can all be proud of our kids but that guy is a clown. His son is like the parent whilst Garcia Sr still behaves like a child.

Scott is a step up in class but not good enough. I want to see Wilder fight and destroy Fury. After that a world title shot. He is waiting for Klitschko to get old or get out.

lol Danny Garcia is mostly human, but he has got a little bit extra!

Who cares

This will be the first time we see Wilder go into the deep rounds.

Posted March 14, 2014 9:16 am

I think wilder will win but scott will make him look bad. He will look clumsy, awkward and amaturish until he KOs scott. Interesting matchup.

Posted March 14, 2014 9:05 am

wilder needs to get hit real good and feel reality. the smoke is blinding us. you can’t do judo if you don’t know how to fall down.

Wilder and Scott are great friends.. It’s unbelievable they’re fighting.

It’s amazing… I look at Deontay Wilder and see some of the same problems that Mark Breland had. Scott doesn’t have them — or got rid of them years ago.

One is throwing too hard so you can time him.. Wilder even loads shots up.. another is backing up in a straight line.. others are not being smooth enough when rolling under punches — and being uncool when he gets tagged.. It will be a monstrous relief for the Wilder team to get this fight over with… I mean if they win.

I think Scott is actually heavier, about 230 to 235 or so.. He has deceptive good power when if he can get into a rhythm. I don’t feel Malik has ever been beaten … and his skills are 3 times as developed as Deontay’s.

Wilder has to relax… not waste energy… not fall for feints… not start flinging punches like a maniac… If he gets knocked down or hurt he needs to be cool, that’s the biggest thing… When he finally lands a good punch it’s going to be lights out!!!

But if he doesn’t keep his cool it could be lights out for DW.
