“What was Rios, if a champion like Maidana is a cherrypick?”

Jimmy Willis looks and stinks like feces.

Posted January 22, 2014 8:10 pm

Maidana should face Provodnikov!!

Posted January 22, 2014 1:02 pm

Maidana deserves the fight more than Khan.

What was Rios, if a champion like Maidana is a cherrypick?

Posted January 22, 2014 8:16 am

Floyd Money Mayweather

Khan and Maidana are both cherrypicks… but Khan is the easier cherrypick.

Posted January 21, 2014 10:30 pm

B Red

Maidana definitely deserves the shot at Money May, but the rematch clause got in the way. I wonder why Floyd hasn’t announced Khan to be his next opponent yet

Jimmy Willis

Tark’ brain is full of feces

Canelo doesn’t need to fight at 168 but he should fight at 160.. He was in a similar situation vs Floyd as De La Hoya was vs Pacquiao. You eventually hurt your body badly if you keep putting it through a process where you dehydrate and rehydrate 13 to 20 pounds.. One day he’ll ht a wall and his body will refuse to give up the pounds.. It shortens your career — so it’s better to fight at a comfortable weight. You’re sharper, quicker, and can mantain a killing tempo if you have to, instead of keeping one eye on the fuel gauge the whole fight.

Posted January 21, 2014 5:45 pm

if broner rematches el chino the beating he will absorb will hurt so bad even his dead ancestors in africa will feel it. make no mistake broner will be carried from the ring

Posted January 21, 2014 3:41 pm

left hook

Anonymous, thats cool, just like a Mayweather fan to make lame excuses, Yeah, floyd is sooo amazing when he’s the one fighting guys that come up 1 or 2 weight classes, but he is not that good that he can fight 2 guys that have to drain themselves to come down a weight class to fight him at a division where he is champ, and where he doesn’t have to cut weight, he said himself his walk around weight is around 154, your an idiot.

Posted January 21, 2014 1:00 pm

i agree with garcia, Chinos cluster punching could trouble mayweather.

Posted January 21, 2014 12:04 pm

Marcos Maidana is worthy of a fight with Floyd Mayweather- but Floyd would potshot him all night for an easy decision. It’s not that interesting a bout, imo. Instead of Mayweather v Maidana, there’s Floyd and Manny; that’s the match to make at 147. Hopefully Mayweather will come to his senses one of these days, or Manny leaves Bob Arum, or something…

Posted January 21, 2014 10:55 am

Tall Mike

Canelo weight drained? He’s the 154 pound champ, so we’re talking 2 pounds. It is Canelo who chooses two cut 15 pounds to fight smaller guys. But when it comes to Mayweather, who barely makes it up to 150, Canelo somehow was at a disadvantage? Then maybe he should fight 168. Just a thought.

Sorry I might have misunderstood some comments here. There are many comments to read and it is easy to misunderstand those ones that are sarcastic. Anyway again only the real boxing fans understand and would want to see a real good fights regardless of their win loss records.

Posted January 21, 2014 6:47 am

Look at Khan sitting on the sidelines, refusing to box anyone unless it’s Floyd, it’s disgusting. Khan just wants a cash out fight, he doesn’t even care about losing. He’s basically retired and will only fight again for a Floyd lottery pay day which he doesn’t even deserve. Imagine if Floyd picks Lara or Porter for May 3rd. Khan will then hope he’ll get a shot in September and will still refuse to fight anyone else in the meantime. The guy is a total joke and doesn’t belong in the same ring as Mayweather at all.

Posted January 21, 2014 5:39 am

Maidana vs Pacquiao would be more exciting than Mayweather. Mayweather I’m sure can handle Maidana but it will be just another Mayweather fight devoid of drama.

Posted January 21, 2014 4:41 am

It’s better to fight at 150 for a 154 title… Than to weigh in at 152, fight weight drained, and not be able to do a damned thing.

Posted January 21, 2014 3:13 am

123 = VI… “The way Floyd handle a solid 173 pounds Canelo”

Canelo never weighed 173 in his life… He weighed into the ring for Trout at 172… for Floyd at 165 — weight drained as Hell. He was as bad off as De La Hoya when Oscar fought Pacquiao.. Weight drained.

Posted January 21, 2014 3:10 am

Left hook stupid Floyd cant make 154. Even when he fought Canelo and Cotto and Oscar he had big troubles making weight he came in like at 149 and 150. He is too small for these guys Plus its not his job to prove he is the best, he has already done that. They have to come down GGG is another hype job his resume sucks. But again these guys are 160 lbs, Hell 8 more pounds and they can fight Ward, Floyd is not stupid enough to go up that high, Even though he beat guys at 154lbs, and fight night they probably came in weight 175lbs. He is at his best at 147lbs. I guess you think he should fight the Klitskos next and then Benard Hospkins and the moment he dont he is scared retarded…

Posted January 21, 2014 3:00 am

left hook

Get over it, both GGG and Martinez called Mayweather out, and they already said they would fight him at 154, and not that I believe GGG is near his prime or more acomplished than Martinez, he has beaten top 10 middleweights, you dont make the top 10 in any division being nobody, nobodies dont break top 20.

Posted January 21, 2014 1:21 am

Off course peej you agree …. Lol how can Maidana get a shot against mayweather who lost to khan but khan not ?? I know you are worried about khan fight because it is a risky fight for floyed win or lose

Posted January 21, 2014 1:16 am

Floyd will not fight Maidana. Floyd is scared of Ariza.

Posted January 21, 2014 1:03 am

Middle would only be 6 manny would still be 2 in front hahaha

Posted January 21, 2014 12:23 am

He wouldn’t be but PAC went up 8 which is why he is so great

Posted January 21, 2014 12:23 am

get over it

GGG hell no he is 160lbs he is a middleweight he is way too big besides that he hasnt fought no one. Floyd is too small for guys like martinez and GGG. He has troubles making 154 against Canelo and Cotto. Floyd beat at 147lbs. He wouldnt be stupid enough to go up that high. And if they came down they would get they ass beat.

Posted January 20, 2014 11:39 pm

For a simple fact, PBF pick and choose only opponents that is not a real threat !

Posted January 20, 2014 11:38 pm

The Best!

Maidana has a better record in his last fights than Khan, don’t understand why Khan is getting a chance at Mayweather?

Posted January 20, 2014 11:36 pm

The Best!

@ 123= GGG Moves better laterally than Canelo and throws better punches while moving. Mayweather would have a very tough time against GGG, unless he hits and runs as he is known to do

Posted January 20, 2014 11:32 pm

123 =VI

The way Floyd handle a solid 173 pounds Canelo he should have no problem with 159 pounds GGG or at least Lara.

Posted January 20, 2014 11:21 pm

123 =VI

Garcia is right, let Khan fight Broner first and the winner fights the winner of A Madiana vs Floyd fight.

Posted January 20, 2014 11:18 pm

WarZ… You’re nuts… I’m the guy who wants Floyd to fight Lara, Garcia, and Pacquiao… I’m the guy who wants Floyd to stay away from patsies like Maidana and fight the toughest and most threatening fighters out there …

I wouldn’t even want to watch Floyd fight Khan or Maidana — I want to see him fight Erislandy Lara… Danny Garcia… or Manny Pacquiao.

Posted January 20, 2014 10:54 pm

Ok. let me correct myself again. Maidana could forfeit his newly-won title, then Broner would have to fight for a vacated title rather than rematch the guy who took it from him. But, in the end, it really is a GBP thing. Maidana doesn’t want to go biting the hand that feeds him. And that hand is GBP.

Posted January 20, 2014 10:27 pm

Wait, my bad. The immediate rematch clause has nothing to do with whether Maidana chooses to keep his belt. So solly. It’s a GBP thing.

Posted January 20, 2014 10:24 pm

Interesting that the master promoter Schaefer, the same guy who got “Promoter of the Year” award, didn’t even know whether the Broner/Maidana contract contained an immediate rematch clause. First Schaefer said there was no rematch clause, then he said there was.

Regardless, Maidana can pull a Mayweather if he wants: Forfeit his newly-won title. Then he won’t have to fight Adrien. Of course, GBP would then thoroughly screw Maidana because he chose to usurp their authority and not fight their little golden boy whom Marcos already beat to a pulp.

Posted January 20, 2014 10:22 pm

Sheriff Joe’s chicken

I expect the rematch to be a whole lot more running from Broner. ALA Mayweather style.

Posted January 20, 2014 9:55 pm

Lol if maidana fights floyd floyd will hit and run all night long!

Posted January 20, 2014 9:49 pm

Pacquiao can just say that he’ll fight for free and accept the 30 to 40 million dollar fee that Mayweather is willing to pay him for full testing on May 5,2014 since Floyd doesn’t have an opponent yet. Is that acceptable Manny? Since you will fight for free, surely you won’t turn down 40 million dollars to take the test.

Posted January 20, 2014 9:40 pm

Posted January 20, 2014 9:33 pm

Geez these Floyd fans. Maidana doesn’t deserve a Mayweather fight ? Even Floyd’s fans are cheery picking and avoiding a potential threat. Shame on you Tark. Floyd has 4 more fights one of them will beat him. Even he fights Guerrero again 4 times Guerrero will beat him once.

Posted January 20, 2014 9:30 pm

The reason why Mayweather hasn’t decided yet is again fear of losing. Khan is faster than any other fighters and FMJ will have problem with that. Khan’s fight plan is to look good not even to try to win. His coach revealed that plan last month. Let’s see what would happen when faces somebody who is as fast as he is. It’s interesting but I’m not gonna watch it. You can argue but let’s see. Mayweather has no power in his punches unlike Prescott , Maidana, & Garcia. But we’ll see.

Posted January 20, 2014 9:23 pm

We are back to square one. Manny will fight for free, but he’ll turn down 40 million to take the test

Losing patience!

Ive said b4. 2014 Maidana and PAC vs Mayweather. I CAN LIVE WITH THAT! Khan no,no,no,no,no,no,no

Posted January 20, 2014 8:26 pm

I’d much rather see Maidana Thurman.

Posted January 20, 2014 8:24 pm

Losing patience!

Trouble is you did to good a job on Broner. We all know Floyd runs from a true challenge and will always take the easy route. Busting up lil Broner scared the crap out of Floyd. If Maidana does it again kiss Mayweather fight goodbye and join PAC on the never list.

Posted January 20, 2014 8:22 pm

Maidana doesn’t deserve a fight with Mayweather — Not for beating Broner. That would be like giving Khan getting a shot at Floyd for beating Maidana… Maidana lost a few fights and there are much better opponents out there.

Danny Garcia is young and undefeated… He beat the guy everyone wanted to match Mayweather with—Lucas Matthysse.

Erislandy Lara dominated the guy who dominated Miguel Cotto. He out-landed Austin Trout by a wide margin and Trout out-landed Canelo by a wide margin.

Manny Pacquiao won his series with ATG Juan Manuel Marquez—and beat ATG’s Marco Antonio Berrara, Erik Morales, and Miguel Cotto. He recently shutout Brandon Rios, 31-1… Now, Rios is the fighter who stopped Mike Alvarado 33-0… Anthony Peterson 30-0… and John Murray 31-1

Those 3 will give Mayweather life or death fights—while Maidana is a walk over opponent for Floyd… NO MORE ROBERT GUERRERO’S … PLEASE!!!

Shane – yup and Rahman turned down a sweet package from HBO, too. That was a series of stupid events.

Exiled Yank

I’d rather see Maidana than Khan. That’s for sure.

Posted January 20, 2014 8:09 pm

JMM got lucky with PED help and is running like Rahman tried to after Lewis win. Lewis had to drag him in court.

Pacman or boycott

Posted January 20, 2014 8:08 pm

Kahn is more immediate Maidana may have to rematch Broner first, Either way both fight stay to generate a lot of Money. What about poor Manny? lol Always the bridesmaid never the bride lol. I bet he wished he didnt turn down the 40 million in 09. Manny is done without Floyd. And Floyd without Manny lifeis grand so who is the real victor? Arum has plenty of chances to make this fight and wouldnt because he loves getting the lions share, Now they are desprate they want it. See that why you have to be careful burning bridges because you never know when you may have to cross again lol. Marquez walked away now Bradley? no one wants any parts of Manny poor stupid immigrant child…

Posted January 20, 2014 7:40 pm

Maidana to a stop to the problem.

Posted January 20, 2014 7:36 pm

Why the hell not Maidana will get his ass beat he is easy to hit, Its just that Broner hasnt fought anyone and bit of more than he can chew he needs to move down to 135. At 147 he has no power. Floyd is no Broner

Posted January 20, 2014 7:31 pm

Not just because of the destruction of the clown maidana resume is better than a lot of our more popular fighters

Posted January 20, 2014 7:18 pm
