Questions? The victory was unanimous, one-sided, clear and unequivocal! If what you be by questions is, Pascal not being on Adonis’ level, well, that remains to be seen. But for whatever it’s worth, it would still be a great fight to watch, unlike the highest paid boxer who puts on exhibitions fights disguised as a professional fight.

Curtis Lowe

Does anyone else think that Carl “Marty Feldman” Froch would destroy Pascal?

horst fraze

i pay to get HBO through the cable provider in canada, yet it wasn’t shown and subsequently i refused to pay 65 bucks to see it. sounds like it wasn’t worth 65 cents. good luck in the future for ppv in ontario. a total rip off!

I found it interesting that post-fight, Bute didn’t have any explanation for his poor performance, but somehow believed he would do better in a rematch. That suggests that he really is gunshy as a result of his nightmare against Froch. He may be done at the elite level if he ever was at that level.

The biggest question this fight leaves behind is… who cares about this division? The true action is in the lower classes right now. Bute? Hmm.. looks amateurish. Pascal? Could do more but never does.

I wouldn’t say either were ever a hype job, I just think at this point they are both very much done at this level of boxing. Pascal don’t seem interested in Stevenson or kovalev and I remember what Hopkins said about fighters who fight him are never the same again look at Taylor pavlik and Dawson can’t say old pokins is wrong about that? As for bute he was always vunrable but he used to have confidence his power would cover for that till froch beat it out of him. Bute should retire. Pascal still has a name and will make a decent opponent for kovalev or Stevenson as there limited for big names

Fight Aficionado

Bute is gun shy, simple as that. Froch’s demolition derby job on him left his psyche destroyed. Pascal wasn’t much better. They both fought almost like there was a silent agreement. Don’t try to outbox me and I won’t try to hurt you.

Everybody saw Bute’s body language prior to the fight… Everybody who saw Bute’s last 3 fights knows what went on last week.. They know he’s got nothing.. He was a bum opponent to start with.. I’ve never seen anyone more confident than Froch was before he fought Bute … he knew for certain that Lucian was a hype job.

stuck in a moment

Bute is a joke. Turned out to be a Canadian hype job. Really had no resume going into the fight. If he was American he would be a nobody. But when you have a big record and get a title in Europe and Canada you then become a star

My wife and i just got back from Montreal after watching this fight at ringside. Bute had nothing that could stop Pascal and Pascal knew this after only the first round. Pascal was too fast and powerful for Bute which leads me to conclude that Bute should retire.. The Bell Center and the culture of Montreal was fantastic. But the the fighter of the night was a welter weight, on the under card by the name of MIKAEL ZEWSKI, Remember that name Zewski, he’s going to have a Fabulous career and will eventually be a house hold name, he’s that good ; relentless and vicious, in many ways he reminded me of GGG, both having the same killer instinct… Perez looked awful fighting a class B fighter, both seemed afraid of one another … PEACE …The Boxing … ” The Language fo the Ring “

That fight didn’t leave any questions. Bute is not what he was made out to be and Pascal is what he is, a B level fighter.
