Anthony Joshua……….. could be another david price. Lets hope that’s not the case.

I thought this was a good fight and a good pace for heavyweights. I’d like to see either man again. Neither seems a great puncher, but they keep throwing and can certainly take it. For all the idle contenders: here are two men who want to fight. I hope they get their chances against the headliners in this division.

Fight Aficionado

Not surprised Perez had a lethargic outiing. He was bound to have a mental letdown after what happened to Mago. Some boxers are never the same after they seriously injure an opponent. Hope he gets his fire back.

Should have read parlous not parlours that autocorrect for you!

Can’t wait for Anthony Joshua to work his way up. I can’t see many who are likely to give him much of a challenge given the parlours state of the heavyweight division at the moment.

Maybe this fight was too soon for Perez or takam is just better then we thought, all I think is these guys should start fighting some of the higher ranked heavies and see how they get on

Ive been elbowed playing basketball and got split like that right under my eye. Didn’t hurt at all though it was bleeding like crazy. Not sure if it really hurt him that much other than the fact it does hurt to be butted. I just think he was out of shape.

Bandwagoner – You think Perez over-trained? His gut begs to differ.

perez will beat leapai? na i dont think so!

God I think big george at 65 would take out at least 80% of the top 10 fighters out there.

Any headbutt that splits the skin wide open like that hurts like hell and the pain doesn’t just go away in one round. Perez really slowed down after the headbutt and never seemed to get it back together.

Perez’s stamina was horrible. Possibly be was over trained. But I thought a draw a fair

one eye

Hope ,Perez is not ‘gun shy’.Mentally hard to be ‘killer’ after previous fight.

any more of this sh#t and big george could be back.

Perez didn’t look in the best of shape and after some hard body shots he really didn’t look interested. Basically Takam took some wind out of him. I doubt either one will be champ or even hold a title. But they are good steps up for fighters trying to break through.

Agree with you rod, the heavyweight division isn’t as bad as we think after this fight both fighters are ready to mix it with the other so called contenders but I’m guessing there promoters won’t risk it unless a lot of cash is involved

I dont know. Is perez average or is takam really good?? Mago and perez fought a war, perez came off much better and got total respect. Takam made perez look very average. Would like to see both these guys mix it up with the likes of arreola, stiverne, the winner of jennings vs szpika, browne, fury and chisora or even ustinov. Wilder wont go near either of them. Both men would destroy leapai but would stand no chance against wlad.
