If Broner, the toad, does move back down to 135 he’ll still rehydrate to out weigh his opponents. He’s a loud mouth and a coward. Please continue to fight at 147 so that you could take a regular beating.Posted April 29, 2014 12:36 am
All hype. Stafford, Broner’s trainer wanted Paulie to appreciate the skills of Broner and give him his due credit.
Even his trainer bought into the hype. What a joke of a trainer and a fighter. Look for Broner to be a gate keeper in the future.Posted April 28, 2014 2:25 pm
Yes, he is. He’s exactly what we thought he was.Posted December 26, 2013 5:19 pm
It is strange how both AB’s (Andre Berto) & (A**hole Broner) seem so similar. Both careers seemed to start out so much alike, starting with how both were overrated and over hyped from the beginning. How they both seemed to try a wannabe version of the FMJ style. People get all worked up when a new fighter beats another in dramatic fashion, and forget that they are not beating real top talent. Even ring mag put Broner in the top 10, losing credibility, imo.
broner had to give the porn game up as his arse was getting sore.Posted December 24, 2013 11:10 am

I think he should do a chewing gum commercial

He s exactly what i thought. Big mouthed pretender. Hmm, reminds me of someone….Fight Manny !Posted December 23, 2013 7:31 am
It’s the general sports media and HBO’s Lampley, Kellerman and Merchant that package and promote the worthless, classless and average fighters like Broner.Posted December 22, 2013 10:43 pm
broner is a poor young black boy full of hate.Posted December 22, 2013 8:33 pm
Why did he jump to 147 …. Its because he didn’t want to face the 140lb division.
AB had a lot of people fooled including the Ring magazine who had him top 10 P4P, when I looked at this and the fact that someone like Cotto who has fought the very best and never had a 1 sided beatdown was not in the top 10 I was amazed. Can you imagine what Cotto would do to AB?Posted December 22, 2013 3:59 pm
BOB ARUM WOULD obviously have had the ear of Freddie Roach who is on record saying that Broner has been hurt, “real bad,” before in sparring and he knows, because he, ‘”was there.”
I would seriously like Adrien Broner to be matched with KEITH ONE TIME THURMAN.
I think Thurman will check his chin once and for all and if Broner survives that test he can move on, but if not then he is a busted flush and he can disappear into the pack.
I’m not sure how good One Time is and it will be the test he requires. If he passes this, then One Time will take AB’s spot deservedly and move forward.
The real question we should be asking ourselves is, ” does AB have the IQ to realise he needs to fix-up and change both his attitude outside the ring and his game inside the ring if he is to hang with the elite guys in our sport.
I have posted on here ever since GAVIN The Rock REES, (a little shortie,) was able to hit AB at will, before being overwhelmed and couldn’t miss him with the right hand.
I’ve never been sold on AB, and a serious rethink is needed for him to progress.
My doubts are he is too arrogant to even consider changing any parts of his game!!!Posted December 22, 2013 2:11 pm
I think Broner is being bashed a little too hard and some may say rightly so, due to his arrogance and big mouth. Hopefully he got a wake up call. The guy is super talented but he is also lazy and obnoxious, thinking he can just turn up and win. He needs to train hard and get his head in the game as boxing is littered with hundreds of coulda beens…Posted December 22, 2013 1:40 pm
I if I had a son, he would look and act like Broner.Posted December 22, 2013 1:06 pm
Broner needs to be glad it was maidana who kicked his ass cuz Keith one time Thurman was calling his ass out.. one time woulda definitely knocked Broner OUT!!!Posted December 22, 2013 12:22 pm
Broner is a good fighter who has a fan-friendly style – he can be hit, and he engages w fast flurries. He conducts himself out of the ring as a crude, arrogant, profane boor. That is entertaining – especially when he goes up to welter and fights a guy like Maidana, who is tough as nails and sneaky fast and awkward. Broner will be back – he needs cash-flow based on a glimpse of his lifestyle.Posted December 22, 2013 12:17 pm
Broner lost in part by making the same mistake many make – Once they get to the higher level boxers and allow themselves any distraction from training it’s incredibly hard to regain those opportunities. Fighters like Andre Ward and Tim Bradley eat breathe and sleep their opponents long before entering the ring against them. They stay in the gym even when they’re injured and keep the mental pressure managed in such a way that it is always to their advantage. Seeing Adrien hanging out with rappers and rubbing his oversized belly weeks prior to the Maidana fight was a serious indicator as to how seriously he regards Boxing. Now he risks falling into the bin with Pavlik if his rudder isn’t purposely adjusted.Posted December 22, 2013 10:49 am
You knew Arum was gonna take a shot at him. Wonder why Arum didn’t come out and say that about JuanMa. Oh thats right, he promotes him.Posted December 22, 2013 10:23 am
I know Arum aint talking! Look at Manny he was so good until he fought a counter puncher at a good weight! if you look at all his fighters they were all good until they fought a real dude Chavez JR! Thinking of it the only boxer he has that is good is Micky Garcia! He is the only one that fights real dudes!Posted December 22, 2013 9:23 am
@ Proud Racist: He went up two divisions and fought Paulie Malinaggi. When you state it that way (i.e. the way it actually happened) is really isnt that impressive. It was also idiocy.Posted December 22, 2013 8:53 am
Broner is exactly what I thought he was, a tool.Posted December 22, 2013 8:31 am
this is the weakest era ever in the history of boxing period.Posted December 22, 2013 6:27 am
Broner is good. He went up two weight divisions and became welterweight champ. How many boxers can do that?Posted December 22, 2013 3:57 am
Hype job of the year is broner .Posted December 22, 2013 2:43 am
Broner is another andre berto . Two major things he needs to do is go back to lightweight and stick to basic boxing , the style he have is not for him . If broner don’t , he will get ko by lesser talent fighters .Posted December 22, 2013 2:42 am
MNboxingFAN – Sean
I disagree. Broner is exactly who I thought he was. A no class bum.Posted December 22, 2013 1:55 am
I said this before his lost. Broner was never tested he fought cab drivers. To compare with to Floyd was insane, Floyd sparred with Pernelle Whitakker Frankie Randall and even Zab Judah as a ameture. His resume speaks for itself. Boner has another over hyped kid who couldnt handle fame making sex tapes with stripper rapping clowning and boxing dont mix. There was alot of overhyped fighters in boxing like Ricky Hatton, was exposed as well. Now time will tell how Broner comes back from this will it humble him and make him rededicate himself learn and come back hard or will he prove to not have it in him at all time will tell. A wise man once said true character is formed in battle….Posted December 22, 2013 12:54 am
“As usual Arum is a master at stating the obvious…” yes, he is & you stated beautifully FA.Posted December 22, 2013 12:51 am
Broner never fought anyone… If he could fight he would have blown out Paulie in 6 or 7 rounds.. He’s about 10th among welterweights, or maybe 13th.. it’s not like the lightweight division where there are no boxers at the moment..
I think when somebody is undefeated in so many fights, and won 3 World Championships, you just start thinking, “Damn.. He’s 23 and has done all that??? He must be doing something right.”
I always marveled at that cross-armed defense—how some boxer’s can make it work … Not too many do… Most of the time they just never fought anyone who can attack and punch like a SOB.Posted December 22, 2013 12:46 am
Broner is done. One dimensional, two at best. Any real compeititon he faces again will see him lose.
And we out chea!Posted December 21, 2013 10:27 pm
Broner is exactly what Paulie Malignaggi said he was “talented” but not that great. The kid is strong, has a lot of skills, he’s tough. But he’s young, foolish, and basically green–at least as a welterweight.
He isn’t done yet. He learned a hard less from Marcos Maidana. He won’t make the same mistakes again. Or if he does, they’ll be fewer and farther between. But for now, he needs to go back to the drawing board.Posted December 21, 2013 9:59 pm
Broner fought wrong if he tweaks a few things he can fight at 147. He took on a very hard puncher and Broner should have boxed is butt off because Maidana is slow. Let’s see if he learned anything and see what changes he makes before trying to write him off. Maidana still has more losses than Broner same for Pac who was knocked cold, same for Khan all the guys mentioned in this article. With the exception of the King Mayweather.Posted December 21, 2013 9:29 pm
Even with the advantages Broner had in the lighter weights many think he lost to a bloated PDL. A draw is what I thought was fair. Don’t get me wrong, there are showmen in boxing’s rich history, but even on that Broner needs to know his limits on. Shocker, upset? Sucka pleez.Posted December 21, 2013 9:25 pm
As usual Arum is a master at stating the obv days after everyone else already said it. He must’ve got inspired after one of his Top Rank ring card girls gave him a handjob.Posted December 21, 2013 9:11 pm
Arums coming down on Broner!? Why is he commenting at all in such fashion!?? As a promoter, THIS is what Mayweather is talking about previously dealing with! He had the SAME DISREGARD for Mayweather; even when Mayweather had LOFTY goals & dreams for himself in his stable!! “I think he wasnt what they portrayed him to be”….very telling indeed…..thats what many feel about “his creation” in PacROID!! Mr. Arum, Let a fellow promoter “still” promote his guy as best he can – even in defeat! Let us fanatical, delusional fans do the over critical analyzing!!Posted December 21, 2013 9:10 pm
Broner will def be back. But it wont be at 147. His management better get him down to 140 fast! He obviously can compete at 147. He also prob cant make 135 no longer either. Im sure this loss will make him hungry and humble.Posted December 21, 2013 9:01 pm
Let’s just see if can make a come back before we count him outPosted December 21, 2013 8:27 pm
The Negro King
Broner is a fine young Negro. Take the word of The Negro King, he will be back!Posted December 21, 2013 8:08 pm
I seen a lot of guys come and go in this sport. One bad outing for a fighter can be a career ender.Posted December 21, 2013 7:50 pm
Broners good but
To say Broner was all hype is a bit of a stretch, hes a top fighter but after watching boxing for 30 or more years I think he is done at the top after this fight.
thats a bad blackhead he”s got there.Posted December 21, 2013 7:25 pm
Hatton was a bigger hype job, with his glass chin him an Kahn. Broners new name is gonna be All Broke the way he was spending like he was Mayweather.Posted December 21, 2013 6:56 pm
We all know that Broner is not Floyd Mayweather beyond that he is no worse than other boxers who lost early in their development and that includes some who went on to be GREAT… Broner has done VERY well for himself and made some serious paydays for a young fighter… He may have moved up too fast and gotten ahead of himself (it happens) but it could be worse, he could have been stopped 2x by nobodies like the NOW Great Manny Pacquiao or he could have been stopped 3 x and shown NO guts like Wladimir Klitschko did… Broner lost and if being Undefeated is the criteria he failed to meet then he is in some GOOD company. Reality is that comparisons with FMJ have fueled a lot of the abuse being heaped on young Broner and he invited a lot of it… But the kid was NOT broken and I like what I saw in the final rounds, if he and Maidana squared off again after a decent rest I would give Broner a 50/50 shot of prevailing nothing I saw said to me that he could not correct that loss with some adjustments… AGAIN the book on Broner is still out and burying him vergally is NOT gonna change where his career ultimately goes…Posted December 21, 2013 6:52 pm
I’m assuming that’s Broners girlfriend/wife in the background…Her expression with the head down say’s it all….Posted December 21, 2013 6:41 pm
another yank hype job.Posted December 21, 2013 6:30 pm
Well, whenever Broner fights next, he owes us all the favor of wearing a fool’s cap into the ring.Posted December 21, 2013 5:58 pm
“He’s not what they portrayed him to be.”…Arum makes a good point??? Yeah, Arum is a genius for stating verbatim what Paulie said minutes after the fight, what Mayweather Sr stated all over the net, what uncle Mayweather stated all over the net and what MILLIONS of haters have stated this week in websites all over the net. Ridiculous statement in this pointless article.Posted December 21, 2013 5:49 pm
Everyone knew Broner was a ridiculous hypejob which why everyone was hating on him since day one, leave these kinds of pathetic protected scam fighters for the brits.Posted December 21, 2013 5:31 pm
