bostadumbs that’s why you are not he got beat cause he is a blow fly and will lose again, unless he follows in mayweathers shoes and picks carfully. And sick of people saying this was an upset maidana a way better fighterPosted December 19, 2013 3:23 am
Hildago, yes they are, with a loving father, who has invested millions into their futures, who sends private jets to take them everywhere, and hire private tutors to set them on a good path with high grade education, as compared to Broner who never sees them and dont even know their names, and his name is not on 3 of his kid’s birth certificates. That is the differencePosted December 18, 2013 11:59 pm
I had Broner WINNING 8 rounds to 4. The judges really SCREWED Broner over!!! Maidana doing cocaine BETWEEN ROUNDS wasn’t really fair either. In my eyes Broner is STILL undefeated. I am the GREATEST fight prophet ever born!!!Posted December 18, 2013 8:23 pm
The Truth, aren’t two of Mayweather’s kids also “bastards?”Posted December 18, 2013 6:20 pm
Well said The Truth. AB is a facile piece of crap who will end up in the gutter because he cares about no one other than himself and is too blind to see he could be great if only he changed his attitude and listened to those who have his genuine best interests at heart instead of chasing the virus by skipping from one *** to another in dodgy *** clubs.Posted December 18, 2013 1:48 pm
Dont compare Mayweather with Broner, Mayweather, as soon as the millions rolled in bought houses for his mother, sister and grandmother, invested in trust funds for his 4 kids and hired private tutors and dreams and hopes his sons go to Havard while Broner’s mother still lives in a one bedroom flat in the project with his auntie, 2 of his cousins and 2 of his bastard kids…and has no investment plans at all.Posted December 18, 2013 10:22 am

Mike J`Bullseye! except for the part about getting a rematch, broner needs to go back down to 140 and get serious and focused them boyz too real for em at 147,maybe in a few years he can slowly migrate but for now humble himself and focus…yuup!Posted December 17, 2013 4:55 pm
This wa a good and entertaining fight. Ive always thought AB was a decent fighter fighter but knew he had an ass whipping coming his way especialy after the PM fight. Anyway no suprises here. There is one thing though about fighters coming back after a seemingly devastating loss. If you examine it youll see that most who cone back are of a humble respecrfull nature. They suffer less because they didnt have the burden of backing up all fhis trash talking. They are respected even in defeat because of their character. Now the Hammeds and Broners of the world find it much more difficult because of how foolish they look ib defeat after so much trash talking. Their defeats are ridiculed and so are they.Posted December 17, 2013 4:20 pm
This fight reminded me of Barrera-Hamed in a number of ways. The brash, young Broner got manhandled by one of the toughest SOBs to put on a pair of gloves. Worse than Broner was his corner who had no real advice or strategy for him between rounds, and he ate Maidana’s left hook all night. Should a rematch happen? Of course, I would love to see it. Broner showed enough to let me know Maidana would have a tough time duplicating that performance. Should it be immediate? No. Broner needs to work his way back and earn it. Bottom line is that Broner has loads of physical talent, but lacks mental toughness.Posted December 17, 2013 3:47 pm
Broner had a good half of the 12th round because he was still feeling the effects of Broner’s cheap shot late hit after the bell in the 11th round. But later in the last part of the 12th it was Maidana who goth over the effects of the late hit and had Broner in trouble.Posted December 17, 2013 3:35 pm

“Hidalgo Maidana won but Broner still had some good spots and moments plus he was coming on stronger in later rounds ”
That he did, Tachyon, but that doesn’t mean he deserves a rematch. Maidana dominated Broner. Hands down. Plus he thoroughly beat him up. Marquez never did that to Pacquiao, or vice a versa, in their first three fights. Yet they rematched. Why? Because the fights were so close they warranted rematches–every single time.
No so the case the Maidana/Broner. Broner has some reputation rebuilding do to now. Damage control. Image control. Mouth control. He fought a hard brave fight, but he still got his a$$ kicked. That ain’t rematch material.Posted December 17, 2013 3:19 pm
“Why should Maidana give Broner a rematch? He thoroughly whupped Adrien.” – Agreed. Make him earn a rematch. Also let him squirm awhile.Posted December 17, 2013 2:26 pm
I never said the guy didnt have some talent. But incredibly over rated..I don’t really care about undefeated records, as most of them are compiled trough careful maneuvering. But hope Maidana got rid us of AB the ridiculous annoying clown. Hopefully he takes this sport as a serious bussines. If he can’t get back to the LW he’ll be serious problems with most good WWPosted December 17, 2013 1:33 pm
Maidana camp did there home work. Broner trying to act like Mayweather said he never watches tapes. I think he should have called Maidana and asked if he could borrow some home movies. Broner in theory should learn from this and prepare better I hope they rematch.Posted December 17, 2013 1:12 pm
I posted on ESB before the fight that Maidana would be way too slow for Broner. Boy was I wrong. Maidana fought the perfect fight. He used the left hook that worked perfectly against Broner’s stance just as Cotto used to bloody Mayweather nose and Maidana had even another surprise for Broner the chopping right hand. This was the first punch on Broner head that hurt him in the 1st round. Maidana executed the perfect strategy to win the fight.Posted December 17, 2013 1:08 pm
I was an upset. Broner was 5-1 fav. And Khan did way better against Maidana than Broner did. No rematch necessary. Move on Maidana. Bigger fish in WW to fryPosted December 17, 2013 12:52 pm
Pratt, your English isn’t the best, but I get what you’re saying; however, I agree so….I’m not sure what you really mean? Broner bit off more than he could chew. This wasn’t a 135lb guy nor Paulie Malignaggi who can’t break an egg. Broner showed that he is no Floyd Mayweather. Weak D, weak O and no footwork of any kind.Posted December 17, 2013 12:50 pm
Broner wanting a rematch is miles better than Khan who does a 360 and ask for a higher payday vs the best boxer. Broner got ass whipped but this was no upset.Posted December 17, 2013 12:49 pm

Hidalgo Maidana won but Broner still had some good spots and moments plus he was coming on stronger in later rounds and both had a good 12th round. He deserves a rematch Pac knocked JMM down plenty of times and still got rematches. Both fighters provided one of the best fights we have seen in a while.Posted December 17, 2013 12:14 pm
“The fight should have been stopped after the first knock down. Broner’s staggering chicken walk was proof that he was not fit to continue.”
Curly Q. Howard, I bet that if Ref Laurence Cole hadn’t allowed Broner so long to regain his senses, the fight very well would have been stopped in the second round. Broner wasn’t just down, he was in lulu land. But Cole intentionally wasted time making sure Maidana was staying in a neutral corner, and he wasted a bunch of time before he started the count.
By my estimation Cole gave Broner nearly 20 seconds to recuperate from that knockdown. No matter though as Maidana just continued to beat him down for the next eleven rounds.Posted December 17, 2013 12:10 pm
Why should Maidana give Broner a rematch? He thoroughly whupped Adrien. You see Floyd giving anyone a rematch? Anyone? And what do Floyd fans say when Floyd convincingly beats someone? “There’s no need for a rematch. Who wants to see a rematch against a guy Floyd already beat so convincingly?” What, is Floyd the only boxer who’s rematch proof?
Name me one opponent of Floyd’s who Floyd upset like Maidana just did to Broner. But you want Maidana to rematch Broner just to prove he really can beat him and his first victory was no fluke? Or to prove that Broner really is better than what he showed against Maidana? LOL! Get real.Posted December 17, 2013 12:05 pm

vet vic how is one loss going to get rid of anyone damn some of post stupid stuff. Based on your model Maidana would not had the chance to fight Broner because he would have retired after his first loss, Pac would have retired after his first KO, Kessler, Froch and so on. Man was chamnp in three divisions one loss means nothing in a career. I hope Maidana gives him a rematch I want to see if Broner learns anything from his butt whupping.Posted December 17, 2013 11:58 am

Fan of the sweet science
Broner needs to change his corner. There’s a trainer in LA his name is Phil Paolina. Phil’s a real teacher of the sweet science. Both physically n mentally. He’s working with a few top ten fighters now. He’s a master at teaching a Mayweather type style but with power. Broner should check him out. He has his own gym n is seen up at wildcard alot. Phil will bring out the best in broner for sure.Posted December 17, 2013 1:02 am

After the bell rang at the end of the eleventh, broner hit maidana purposely . It was a hard.solid shot. Maidana Kim of stumbled to his corner. The camera didnt show him walk to his corner, but you can tell. At the beginning of the twelfth, broner tried to take an advantage of that because he knew maidana was still shaken up from that cheap shot. I thought he was going to knock maidana down. But marcos wasn’t going out like that. In fact, maidana stunned Adrian in the twelfth a little also. Great, and funny fight. I knew maidana was going to hump him back. That was so freakn funny. Lol!Posted December 16, 2013 9:36 pm
This writer said that Broner buckled and hurt Maidana,I must have missed it! To me it was all Maidana and while Broner got in a few little shots ,I never saw Maidana remotely stunned! Did anyone else see Maidana get hurt?Posted December 16, 2013 9:09 pm
Broner just fell off the gravy train. No ppv for him as was planned earlier. You know Floyd cant be too happy about that.Posted December 16, 2013 9:06 pm
I think Hopkins gives them good competition in the theatrics department. He showed them skills during the Calzaghe fight, do did Judah on some occasions. I think DLH also acted masterfully upon his “liver” shot by Hopkins when he flew to the floor with knees bent and almost immediately which never happens.Posted December 16, 2013 9:04 pm
Who is a better actor Broner or Andre Dirrell ,both these clowns try to get a win by faking about being hurt more then they actually were ,, Although i do give Broner thumps up for hanging in there while getting beat up .Posted December 16, 2013 8:58 pm
I honestly don’t think it was as big a shock as people are making it out to be. Two things to look at, number 1, Maidana is and was a good fighter, number 2, did everybody think Broner looked sensational against Pauli Malinaggi? he was lucky to get that win, it seems to me that all the Newspaper and T.V. Hype really got to Broner,he really thought he was invincible, well that’s been proven wrong. He has talent, so do a lot of other fighters, but they don’t have the backing , and the media influence that he has or had. I don’t think he should get an automatic re-match with Maidana, let him earn it, like Maidana earned his shot, also, Broner will never be as sensational as a welterweight,he can’t bully the opponents, and he won’t be the bigger man. He better get himself in better condition, control his weight on a regular basis and drop down at least one weight class, otherwise he’s going to be just a good fighter , not a champion, in fact I’m not sure he is ever going to win another title, unless he changes completely his way of thinking.Posted December 16, 2013 8:53 pm
The Bronner defeat scenario is what scares Mayweather. When you have a large group of people that hate you because you are a jackass you get the Bronner beer throwing bye bye..Posted December 16, 2013 8:47 pm
Problem with Boner is weight.
He is too short, too small, and his power is to light for 147.
As such, he needs to lose weight and get down to 135 — where he has height, stature, and power.
It take discipline for Broner to get down to 135. But it is the right thing to do.
Best plan for Broner would be to take 8-10 months off — and concentrate on losing weight and changing his lifestyle habits so he can feel comfortable at 135 ALL YEAR ROUND.
If he wants to be a Floyd Mayweather protege, this is what Floyd does. Floyd stays at his fighting weight (currently 145-147) all year round.
This would be good for Broner and he would become dominant at 135 and then build back up — SLOWLY — to big fights at 140.Posted December 16, 2013 8:33 pm
Understood.Posted December 16, 2013 7:57 pm
Broner got a boner in the 1e round. That’s why he made some silly moves in the corner behind Maidana.Posted December 16, 2013 7:49 pm
boner got worldstarred! he likes being on worldstar so much now he is. next up sharkeisha knocks out boner. lol. lol. boner takes the clown behavior too a bad level. he riles up the fans then pulls a coward act so people take things into their own hands. plastic cups of beer in the face isn’t the same as chairs or bottles. plus boner knocked out an old lady and snatched her purse so a cup of beer earlier in his life would of helped him.Posted December 16, 2013 7:40 pm
beer in the face is good for a guy like that. too bad it wasn’t in mexico or Columbia he would of got glass bottles at his head. just like hamed got beered when he flew in on a carpet, broner got beer in the face when he ran out like a coward after walking in like a loud mouth clown. i would box you any day call gleasons in brooklyn and Bruce will line you up you clown.Posted December 16, 2013 7:37 pm
What maidana did Saturday was help save boxing in a big way! Caus I personally don’t know not 1 broner fan and I’m talking the truth when I say that, it’s the younger guys that like show more than boxing that like broner and let’s face it broner is very bad for the sport! And wen the big dogs in the sport are backing you caus they smell the money that they can bring in, might be good for your pockets but not us the boxing fans!Posted December 16, 2013 7:25 pm
Broner ,, pre fight built up mouthed off and tried to intimidate Maidana using vile language, as he entered the ring he walked to Maidana and continued his taunts, he did the humping thing at the end of the round, he tried to get a DQ with his academy award performance when the re run showe a minor head butt because he was in trouble and locked Maidanas army’s, he landed a very hard punch after the bell. Broner needs to do some self introspection about his conduct and get rid od some of his hanger owners. He needs a class act type mentor to teach him some respect for the profession and his opponents.Posted December 16, 2013 7:16 pm
How do fans get away with that crap. I wonder if they sale drinks in bottles. Lol! But that wasn’t cool. Even though I didn’t never like broner because of his behavior, and wanted him crushed, that was so disturbing to me on how the fans acted.Posted December 16, 2013 7:15 pm

It’s time for Bronner to switch trainers. They provided him with no valid instructions. He needed to jab and double jab and box. They can’t teach him anymore he fights every fight the same way flat footed and trying to out slug his opponents. Pauline beat him and he didn’t learn and make no adjustments. Maidana smothered him from the first round ans set the tone. Bronner corner not smart enough to make adjustments. He needs roger Mayweather or someone like Nazhim Richardson who can teach him the real art of boxing. Big congratulations to Mr Maidina!!Posted December 16, 2013 6:16 pm
he didn’t shock anyone except avid Broner fans, pressure is how you beat a slick fighter, you can’t be afraid of his counters, you have to take them in stride and keep punching, Frazier vs Ali 1, Duran vs Sugar Ray 1, etc….Broner’s mistake is moving up too fast, he gave a good account of himself considering he is not a true welter

Broner is the cheapest boxer I ever saw. The thing he did at the end of the first round, his cheating like an utter loser at round 8, he is a shame for boxing. Thanks to Maidana for humiliating him in the manner he deserves. I will never ever watch Broner again. I am feeling ashamed for the things he is doing, he is that bad, and he is still unaware how critical his condition is in, playing a not funny game like a bad clown..Posted December 16, 2013 6:08 pm

I’M SO GLAD ADRIEN BRONER was humbled Saturday night by EL CHINO.
One of the reasons I am so happy is because, hopefully now boxers will concentrate on their own skills, hardwork and dedication to the sport and NOT pr*stituting themselves on TWITTER, FACEBOOK and all these other celebrity events like wh*res, trying to raise their profiles to get the PPV dates!
I grew up in the era of HAGLER, HEARNS, LEONARD, DURAN, GOMEZ, NELSON, BENITEZ, SANCHEZ and many more…. These guys fought in the ring against the best available competition, and let their performances speak for themselves instead of the: BERTO’S, ORTIZ’S, KHANS and other phonies who are on social media 24/7, trying to fool people into buying into their hype.
BRONER thought he could short-cut his way to the top and like all these fake wannabe celebrities in music and other sports who either drop their pants or run their mouths and then sit back and wait for the cash registers to ring as gullible fools buy into their garbage!
But, he’s now woken up with a fat lip and busted jaw and hopefully a new attitude that it is hard work, keeping your head down and your mouth shut, that will get you to the pinnacle of your sport.
I can’t think of any sport where the top person is out every night chasing skirt, on youtube doing foolishness and then seen waddling round in skin tight clothes, because they are so out of shape….
This dude needs an attitude adjustment real quick or he’ll end up like ANDRE BERTO, who will probably be a gatekeeper for the next phase of his career.Posted December 16, 2013 5:35 pm
malachi you must not know much about boxing. It takes 2 fighters to make a great fight and we watched a great fight. Broner has flaws true but he was not knocked out cold, got up every time, and fought with heart. Hopefully he learns and we can see a great rematch. JMM fought Pac 4 times was knocked down 3 times first round in there first fight. Once in the second fight. Guess he is all hype. Pac koed 2 times guess he is all hype, Froch 2 losses beat handily by Ward guess he is all hype Gatti had multiple losses guess he was all hype, Wlad koed twice well he is all hype.Posted December 16, 2013 5:34 pm
