PE…my thoughts exactly.

I don’t know, I think Cotto too small for Canelo. Too big to melt down to 147 but too small to fight a blown up 169/170 Canelo. The money will talk tho and it will happen. I pick Canelo if it turns into a brawl, and I love Cotto but think he is past his prime.

Boy, watching those video clips…You got to admire Freddie for being able to keep up with elite fighters like Cotto and Pacquiao in the mitt workouts. I thought it was pretty funny when Miguel threw a straight right to Freddie’s chin and just touched it with his glove. Freddie smiled, Miguel gave a sheephish grin..

I think Freddie will do a very good job with Miguel. I’m hoping he cleans Rodriguez’s plate, then a bout with Alvarez. Alvarez had his ego busted by Floyd. I’m thinking that after his bout with Rodriguez, Alvarez would be a very good matchup for Cotto.

Cotto should retire ! it is all down hill from hear on out.

Cotto has that little hop that he does to reset after he throws punches, I wish he can change that but too late at this stage. Rod is gonna come out fast on Cotto. Cotto needs to invest the first 4 rounds to the body then take it from there, Cotto is a much better puncher. Cotto via MD.

Cotto might get k.oed.

Take your own advice FFS.

This fight is do or done for cotto

PE Yes, I can understand Cotto being ready to fight Floyd at the old proverbial ‘drop of a hat’, no doubt. But right now, it aint in the works, not being mentioned. Cotto must first get by Rodriguez impressively, and maybe get another good win under his belt to really convince the PPV customers. And then there’s the “promoter issue” of Top Rank vs Floyd/GBP. Anyway, I’m sure Floyd is hoping for Khan to win and cherry pick him, and then maybe even Garcia, who they might hype up with a “coming out” high profiled/low risk welter fight. Cotto vs Manny, no mi amigo, no way, especially at 147.

Edwin is a very good unothadoxed fighter with punches from all angles.,But he is also hittable and Cotto can hit. This should be entertaining.

MURDERMAN Miguel CAN’T make 147 anymore and be near at his best. This he knows & has said it on numerous occasions. He repeated it yesterday. He’d probably faint during his ‘ring-walk’ if he did. Don’t expect Cotto at 147 vs anybody, including Manny, with whom he has recently developed a friendship with. No, friendship has nothing to do with it, not in this game. It’s just that he just CAN’T & WON’T fight at 147, plain and simple. You’ll see. Peace to MURDERMAN & please don’t KILL ME for disagreeing with you. LOL!!

I think cotto has plenty left in the tank. Personally i think he would be better equip to move back down to 147 if he can make weight. At 5’7 w short arms he really isnt suited for 154. I think he beats Rodríguez but thinks he gets k.o. by canelo. Either way he is all heart n props to him!

Hidalgo, follow my advice, STFU for 2 minutes…FFS.

“Public enemy, how old are you? 100 focking years old? You whine like an old loser. Behave like a young man, FFS. Stop the whining.”

And you name call like a six year old, nameless. You’re the biggest whiner on ESB. All you do is whine about other people.

Uh, okay, buttboy.

PE Honestly, I don’t see a Floyd vs Cotto rematch happening. As a matter of fact Floyd/team hasn’t even remotely mentioned Cotto as a possible opponent under consideration. Cotto has made it clear that he will remain in the 154lb class, nothing less. And has repeatedly said that he will not fight Manny again at any catch-weight, besides the fact that a rematch between them is NOT one fans have been clamoring for, so that practically rules them out. That leaves… Canelo and possibly….. Martinez??

IF Cotto gets by Rodriguez impressively enough he opens the door to some rather handsome opportunities. Yes, the obvious one being Canelo BUT.. there’s also the possibility of securing an opportunity vs slipping Sergio Martinez, or so I was told earlier today by someone associated with MCP. (Miguel Cotto Promotions) According to him there’s been no serious negotiating of any kind but they did talk some this weekend. Supposedly, both Martinez & Lou Dibella want to return early next year first vs a not too dangerous opponent to test himself and shake off some rust, while Cotto would rather it happen in March or no later than April. Honestly, I just don’t see Cotto in the ring vs Molina, Vanes nor Lara. Cotto will only want BIG fights. The year 2014 could in all likelihood be his last and possibly THIS year if he fails to get by Rodriguez next month. This is only what I was told, nothing official about it. I called a Cotto assistant trainer, Joe Santiago but got no response. Peace.

I paid for the fight and I’d pay again if I have to. It was a great night and I enjoyed it, I ate, drank and had a hell of a good time watching Garcia win and Floyd schooling Canelo. After that I spent the rest of the night with a KO b*tch. No complaints here.

The Mad Scientist

Angulo, Soto Karass and Rios are all names that will beat on Cotto at this point..Lol!

The Mad Scientist

PE -nobody outside of harcore fans know who Matthysse and Garcia are silly rabbit..Lol, nice try

The Mad Scientist

PE -after putting in his part to rake in 150 million dollars for the sport of boxing I think Canelo has been nice enough don’t you think..Lol

Posted September 20, 2013 5:57 pm

Cotto will have Delvin backing up all night. If Rodriguez doesn’t get his jab going quick and effective and use it throughout the fight, he’s going to have a very hard time with Miguel.

Posted September 20, 2013 5:38 pm

The Mad Scientist

PE -last time I checked Cotto didn’t break no PPV records against Pac or May..btw I heard Canelo is looking for a dance partner that can drive PPV sales..Miguel would be the perfect B side to Canelo’s A..Lol!

Will be interesting to see if he still has that dazed look in the ring.

Good luck to the Cotto – a real man who can bang hard

Jim Rich

Paq could still possibly beat mayweather if he prepares properly for the fight, I’d like to see this match up, it would sell.

Posted September 20, 2013 11:53 am

Public Enemy

Cottos being prepared for a Paquiao or Mayweather rematch.. He’s really the only other guy who can be pitted against these guys to drive PPV numbers sky high with his Fans… not really much more left for Paquiao or Mayweather unless they fight each other..
