This is an interesting fight. Does the winner or loser fight Pac cause you just never know with Top Rank nowadays?

“But it took Bradley only one fight to beat Pacquiao.” Are you saying that you believe Bradley really beat PacMan?

Posted September 23, 2013 2:22 am

I favor Marquez too. But it took Bradley only one fight to beat Pacquiao. This will be a great fight.

Posted September 23, 2013 12:33 am

I see Bradley doing well the first half then JMM coming on strong the second half. This is a toss up. JMM no doubt about it, tough humbre.

Posted September 21, 2013 2:48 pm

JMM is going to take Brads WBO Welterweight belt away from him. JMM is the Man. Tough Hombre is JMM.

Mad Scientist my friend. I haven’t seen you for a bit. Manny Pacquiao was beaten by a Ped using cheater. Manny will be making the most anticipated come back fight in the history of boxing against a man that had the courage to face him unlike those two chickens, Bradley and Ped Man Marquez. Manny will give life to sport of boxing. He will walk to the ring with the smile and confidence he he always exudes. Manny brings excitement, not the pitty pat and run style another fighter shows. All PPV records will be broken.

great fight!

Posted September 20, 2013 4:25 pm

Marquez KO win against Pac has given the wrong impression that he has a lot of fight left in him…Juan has had life & death fights-& has been hurt-with lesser fighters; in fact, Pac was catching him & hurting him bad & often, until the KO punch. Marquez corner was in desperate mode; Bradley has too much energy & speed for Marquez & he can hurt Marquez so he’ll gain his respect pretty quick. Tim wins this fight with a hand tied on his back.

Posted September 20, 2013 4:19 pm

Bradley can stop Marquez, he was about to stop Provo who is a lot bigger fighter…Tim won’t lose this fight, he wins either by UD or TKO. Bradley ain’t Pac, Juan doesn’t have Tim’s#.

Posted September 20, 2013 4:11 pm

Bradley should win this easy dancing away. But knowing him and his thick skull, he’ll get caught.

Posted September 20, 2013 3:31 pm

I’d take Marquez to bed, hot and loaded

Posted September 20, 2013 1:17 pm

JMM has never fought at WW…..unless you want to believe he fought Floyd at WW while not making the full 147 for Floyd’s title but, Bradley has been in this division much longer. Given this fact, I think Bradley will put out a UD. But if this is Vegas……it may be SD for Bradley…….unless of course they steal it from him. JMM is not fast on foot. He’s retiring after this; better to retire than lose to Pac.

Posted September 20, 2013 11:22 am

Bradley has no hope in this fight if he is facing the post-Heredia JMM. Bradley’s only remarkable ability that I have noted is his capacity to remain on his feet swinging away when his is, for all intents and purposes, completely knocked out. Seriously – it is quite remarkable – the guy is 99% lights out and he engages in this robotic mode where he is able to counter and slip surprisingly well. I don’t know if it some form of tough chin or if he has a microchip inserted in his brain that takes over when he’s been put to sleep in the ring. A post-Heredia JMM will shut that mechanism down though – likely in brutal fashion.

If he faces JMM w/o the Heredia influence, he’s got a chance at a MD – he’s won on some BS scoring before…..

Posted September 20, 2013 9:26 am

Bradley has earned my respect but it’s Marquez by UD. A Manny type of KO is unlikely maybe a TKO at best but I’ll stick with UD for Marquez as he’s a better boxer, has better ring IQ and he does very well when under pressure plus he has the edge when you consider punching power. If Bradley boxes intelligently he will definitely hear the final bell but if he engages Marquez recklessly then he’s going to get stopped.

Posted September 20, 2013 6:30 am

Pac vs Clottey, BORING FIGHT. PAC vs BRADLEY, Boring fight. PAC Don’t want to take tests, but wants MARQUEZ to?!?! Get the Fuuu oatta here. Glad Marquez took PEDS n not piss. He just had to even the playing field!!! Get off your boys NUTS.

Posted September 20, 2013 4:03 am

HAHAHAHAHAHA Bet I may have seen you already on YOUTUBE. “ohh my GAD!!!!”, “oohhh SHET!!!” . Now why doesnt your boy fight in he phillipines???

Posted September 20, 2013 4:00 am

TOOSALTY, I had picked Garcia, Molina and Mayweather. I’m not saying Mayweather has to fight GGG at all. It’s up to him if he wants to fight a naturally bigger guy in a heavier weight class. Even though he tells everyone that skills pay bills. He can fight Khan, Garcia, Cotto, Matthysse and make good money, but they offer no challenge at all. If he really wants to test himself as he always says, that would be the most intriguing fight of all, and IMO, he would get beat. GGG would be his limit.

Also, both of these guys have tremendous hearts and find ways to win. This will truly be a match-up of two boxing’s “chess masters.” I expect to see many adjustments made by both of these guys through the course of the fight as they adapt to each others changing tactics.

Posted September 19, 2013 9:44 pm

This is a very intriguing fight. Not sure if it’ll be a good style match-up though. But none the less, I’m eager to see these two battle it out. Will Marquez be able to shift gears and fight someone very different than Pacquiao? And will Bradley be fully recovered, mentally and physically, from his last fight in which he took a beating?

Posted September 19, 2013 9:25 pm

Ray Ray

Does any1 give Bradley a chance? I do. Not that I care. They’ll both b fighting Manny again, g Arum u kept every1 guessing ha ha I’m more interested in these 2 guys fighting manny again.

Marquez wins.

Posted September 19, 2013 8:25 pm

I really don’t think the titles play that big of a part anymore when making these fights at certain venues and I don’t think fans really care about those belts anymore. Heck fans complain more about the belts than they congratulate there fighters for having a title.

The Mad Scientist

Hecdog you need to get over the fact Marquez exceeded yours and the rest of the pactarded worlds nightmares..Lol! Dinamita reduces what seemed like a Pacquiao amazing run between their 2nd and 3rd fights, no big deal boxing fans don’t want to be lied too..thank you Juan for telling us the truth about Manny..Lol!

Posted September 19, 2013 7:29 pm

Peej. Im with you all the way for one champ. However it may never happen. The reason is money. Imagine if every champ was non American and not fighting in America. There would be less interest and also little tv coverage from major networks. The money guys would miss out, the investors would miss out, so would the casinos in vegas and numerous other financial institutions. Boxing is big business and the money men wont let it happen. Sadly for the true boxing fan one belt is a dream. However reality states that we dont need the championship belt to make the money. Haye/Fury will do well and no belt involved. If the tv people can let the belt hunger go then we could have one championship per division. Boxers like De La Hoya, Mayweather and Pac would still make huge money without the championship tag. What Im basically saying is its down to tv people to promote fights properly and not worry about if a belt is on the line. One world governing body which incorporates a judging and refereeing body would work wonders. Something like FIFA or the F1 body.

Posted September 19, 2013 6:29 pm

TJ my friend, I always support Manny Pacquiao. He’s a great fighter and human being. He gets a lot of hate for the wrong reason, and doesn’t gets his just due. I hope he is physically and emotionally well and beats Rios, but you never know until a fighter steps into the ring again. I guess we’ll find out. And yes, I sometimes say some crazy stuff also. The lion and the zebra may never get along.

Posted September 19, 2013 6:21 pm

Your probably right but that wouldn’t stop me from calling them a titlest. Before Floyd beat Canelo he was just a titlest and after he became the champ at Jr Middle. I’m still gonnasaybthey are titlest unless they become the champ.

Posted September 19, 2013 5:54 pm

Fight Aficionado

“Fight Aficionado my friend, you know everyone including yourself will be up bright an early to see Manny Pacquiao fight.” – I’m talking about this 1am start for Bradley-Marquez’s 24/7. What’s the regular HBO fight this Saturday the infomercial is on after? They don’t say in the press release.

Posted September 19, 2013 5:34 pm

Peej, once Bob Arum dies maybe we’ll get a chance to see all the champions fight each other for the true undisputed championships in their respective divisions.

I guarantee you though, that long ago when Floyd was only holding one belt–his WBC super featherweight title which he won from Genaro Hernandez, and he hadn’t defended it yet, if you were to say to him “Floyd, you’re not a champion, you’re just a titlest” he’d reply, “WTF you talking about?? Of course I’m a champion!”

Posted September 19, 2013 5:33 pm

“but just because you have that belt does not make you the champion of that weight class.” I never said it did. But it does for the sanctioning body that awarded the belt. I mean you’ve got to be kidding me. If a baseball team wins a regional championship, they may not the national champions but they are still champions. I get what you’re trying to say, but sorry to disappoint you, history will record Manny Pacquiao as being an eight division, eight-time world champion. And he has the trophies (belts) to prove it.

Posted September 19, 2013 5:27 pm

Look at the ring ratings and you can find out who the champ is in each division. The other titles can be stripped, the ring belt can’t. That’s like in the middleweight division Martinez should have every belt because they where unified by Hopkins. How did other fighters win those belts? They should of went from Hopkins, Taylor, Pavlik and now Martinez. But he doesn’t have all the belts. How did that happen?

Posted September 19, 2013 5:26 pm

Actually Floyd is now the champion at Jr Welter also. He has the Ring Championship belt. Makes him the head of the Jr Middleweight division. Everyone else in that class is just a contender trying to win that belt from Floyd

Posted September 19, 2013 5:23 pm

Yes I am because there can only be one champion. Yeah the belt says champion but just because you have that belt does not make you the champion of that weight class.

Posted September 19, 2013 5:21 pm

Your post praising Manny sounds like it’s tongue in cheek. Does Manny really posses acting and singing skills or are you pulled in because of his boxing resume?

I can’t imagine him winning any OSCARS or GRAMMYS anytime soon.
Anyway, good to see you supporting your man to the hilt, just don’t get too caught up in the hooplah, cause at the end of the day he has millions to comfort him in defeat if he loses to BAM BAM….

On such a sad day – RIP to KEN NORTON – you have cheered me up. Singing and acting…. I didn’t know you did stand up!

Posted September 19, 2013 5:14 pm

“He is not an 8 division world champion, he is an 8 division titlest.’

LMAO! Still going on about it, eh Peej? All the belts that Pacquiao won in those eight divisions have “World Champion” emblazoned right on the front of the belt. Manny was awarded eight world championship belts so he was a world champion eight times in eight different divisions.

Now, was he the undisputed unified world champion of any weight division 8 times? No. Even at the present time, Floyd doesn’t hold that lofty position. There’s still Carlos Molina holding a “title” in the jr. middleweight division. And in the welterweight division Floyd only has two belts, which according to your rules, makes him only a titlest as other welterweight “titlests include, Timothy Bradley, Adrien Broner, and Devon Alexander. Floyd isn’t even a “Super Champion” in the welterweight division–he’s a mere’ “titlest,” right?

Posted September 19, 2013 5:12 pm

Joan Guzman, at the time Pacquiao ducked him, was the perfect fighter to beat Pacquiao.. I can see why the Pacquiao team made a strategic decision to duck him..

Shortly thereafter Guzman lost his mojo and wasn’t the same fighter. He was great for a sliver of time. All of a sudden he couldn’t fight anymore. Happens to a lot of them.

Posted September 19, 2013 4:45 pm

GUZMAN’S PROBLEM WAS NOT THAT HE COULD NOT FIGHT, but that he had lost all discipline in staying in shape enough to make WEIGHT…. Just like CASTILLO he ate himself out of division after division and the big fights by failing to make weight by massive margins.

His was a true waste of talent.

Posted September 19, 2013 5:07 pm

Marquez wipes the table with TB.

Posted September 19, 2013 5:06 pm

TARK, you’re right, Guzman at that time & at that weight, was fast, powerful & you couldn’t hit’em with a handful of rice because his defense & reflexes were outta this world…Guzman squandered his prime because he couldn’t handle the benefits that money give you: lots of food, alcohol, luxury stuff & women…

Posted September 19, 2013 5:04 pm

So then you do know who Guzman is then??

Posted September 19, 2013 4:59 pm

LOL! Nevermind Tark. I need to learn to read better. LMAO! Clicked right after I re-read the first sentence.

Posted September 19, 2013 4:54 pm

Tark, who is “Joan Guzman?” I don’t see a post by that person on this thread.

Posted September 19, 2013 4:53 pm

Pac clearly ducked Guzman. But ok lets just say Pac would of destroyed him. That is why Pac refused to fight Floyd, because Floyd would of destroyed. But the reason I think he ducked Guzman was because of how Pac struggled with Sanchez and Guzman easily destroyed Sanchez. When Pac saw that I think he thought better of fighting Guzman.

Posted September 19, 2013 4:50 pm

PEEJ my friend, Juan Guzman? Manny would have hurt him badly. Fight Aficionado my friend, you know everyone including yourself will be up bright an early to see Manny Pacquiao fight. Manny is always in tough exciting fights, and that’s why people love him and respect him. Like him or not, he brings excitement.

Posted September 19, 2013 4:28 pm

He is not an 8 division world champion, he is an 8 division titlest. He also avoided Juan Guzman.

Fight Aficionado

So who’s gonna watch this 30 minute infomercial at 1am on a Saturday night? Those who have no females, friends, or lives.

Posted September 19, 2013 4:11 pm

So many Manny haters as always. Manny Pacquiao will revive the sport when he destroys a tough, tough Brandon Rios. No one put it out there more than Manny Pacquiao. His style of fighting brings fans to their feet. His reign of terror during his best fights had the world talking. Cover of TIME Magazine tells you the impact and the popularity of this boxing legend. He out draws everyone world wide when he goes to work out at the gym. He is asked by President Obama to come pay him a visit and for some suggestions on the economy. Manny faced everyone and avoided no one. He is the definition of a real fighter. The only 8 time division boxing champion ever. Then, out of nowhere he loses to an aging fighter that had to get someone to make him better. Not a trainer, cut man, gym, adviser. No, a guy that was well known for his Ped supplying to the USA Olympic athletes, and all of a sudden he looks like a silver back gorilla and is knocking Manny down with every punch he throws? Come on people, Angel already stated how easy it was for him to mask and drug. Now everyone has kicked Manny Pacquiao to the curb. They say he’s finished. Can’t take a punch. Has brain damage, and so on. The reality is that a lot of people never liked Manny Pacquiao from the start. Someone was always trying to discredit the greatness he achieved. They criticized his singing success, his action packed movies, his fantastic clothing line, his generosity, his bible studies, his lacing the cover of Time Magazine, his motivational rags to riches success. He destroys everyone in sight, but many people wouldn’t give him his just due. Well, you better keep your eyes open for Manny Pacquiao’s triumphant and historic return. Manny will do the impossible. Notice how Bradley, Marquez and Mayweather are all running from him. I know they have their own personal Manny Pacquiao channel at home trying to always know what Manny is up to. They fear the man. Wars will stop, Lions will get along with zebras and the boxing fans will enjoy a real fight when Manny returns. IMO.

Marquez was the bigger draw in there last 2 fights. Pac has not been selling like he used too ever since his fight with Mosley. He is no longer in the driver seat. Funny you say Marquez should of accepted the fight but then say Floyd was greedy in only offering Pac 40 mil. If you think Marquez should of accepted the fight then you also agree Pac should of took the 40 mil against Floyd right? Hecdog you have a double standard when it comes to Pac

Posted September 19, 2013 3:13 pm

Hecdog – You are one sour Pacquiao fan, wow, are you a fan of the sport or JUST a fan of Pacquiao? Cause you don’t seem to have ANY respect for these guys, what a shame.

Posted September 19, 2013 3:01 pm

Hecdog – Marquez knows DAMN well happened, he put Manny to SLEEP!! Made homie catch some z’s for a while LOL

Posted September 19, 2013 3:00 pm

Hidalgo – I said “little” interest, not ” no ” interest. I probably will watch the replay, ( you can’t stop me! ) but I’m not interested enough to pay to see it. Get it? A Bradley win would surprise me, but the guy for some reason gets litte respect. If he wins his fans will praise him and detractors will say it was over a faded Marquez.

Posted September 19, 2013 2:50 pm

Manny Pacquiao is the bigger draw, and should always have the upper hand in negotiations IMO because without him they make much less money, which is proven by Marquez and Bradley making much less money. Their PPV will draw very low. These guys are only known because of Manny Pacquiao. He basically put them both on the map. If they had not fought Manny, they would never have received the attention and publicity they receive today, Floyd beat up Marquez badly, and no one ever really knew Bradley. Both guys are making pennies compared to what they could have made fighting Manny. They should have accepted the Manny fight, and if they beat him, they could have had more bargaining power, but IMO, they didn’t think they could beat Manny Pacquiao.

Posted September 19, 2013 2:49 pm

I thought Pac won the first 2 fights and lost the last 2 fights. Marquez also wanted 10 mil and Pac said no. So Pacs greed got in the way. He tried to bring the fight back but Marquez wanted no part of it because Pac is no longer in the drivers seat when negotiating with Elite fighters or A level fighters anymore.

Posted September 19, 2013 2:40 pm

Ped Man Marquez asking for a 5th fight against Pacquiao in Mexico is a joke. Manny would have a snow ball chance in hell. Seriously, all fights should be on neutral ground. Marquez knows what happened, and wants no part of the legendary Manny Pacquiao. Same goes for Bradley and Mayweather.

Im taking Marquez in this one. But Bradley only knows how to win so it may be a good fight.

Posted September 19, 2013 1:33 pm

Marquez nor Bradley ran from Pac. Pac was the one that declined rematches with both. Then when he had no where else to turn he tried to bring the rematchs back up with them and they wanted nothing to do with Pac

Posted September 19, 2013 1:32 pm

brooklyn boy

marquez all the way in this one.Bradley gets hit too often and too easily.I believe that he took too many shots his last fight,he has to be damaged physicaly from that beating he took.Marquez took good of a counter puncher here he will make Bradley miss then make him pay.I would be surprised if he gets past the 3rnd.I would like to see marquez face Thurman after Bradley, then we will see how good Thurman really is

Posted September 19, 2013 1:29 pm

Bradley by UD. Marquez age is going to show.

A THOUGHT ABOUT THIS SITE: No doubt it’s a good boxing site. However, I type with two fingers…no way I should be getting the “you are posting too quick” message. Also, why does it take so long for this website to load?

Posted September 19, 2013 1:14 pm

Pragmatic, if you have very little interest in this fight, then don’t be watching a rerun or commenting about it after it’s over. But just so you know, this will be a great fight and the winner of it will be facing great opportunities afterwards. I am very interested to see how Bradley performs against Marquez. Timothy will be facing the most skilled boxer he has fought to date. If he beats Marquez, he’ll be making a huge statement in the welterweight division.

Posted September 19, 2013 1:14 pm

Bradley is working hard for a fight with Mayweather. If he wins this bout, he’ll probably get his shot. If Arum will let him.

Posted September 19, 2013 1:10 pm

I have very little interest in this fight. Shouldn’t be on ppv. I’m picking Marquez to go to the well one last time and win this via KO. I think Provodnikov took a lot out of Bradley. You can’t get away with throwing blind punches against a guy like Marquez. Fight could end early, but because of that devastating KO for Marquez against Manny, Timothy will be very tentative for the first 4 rounds. Eventually Marquez will time him with a good shot and finish him around rd 8.
