Good comments KL. Yes wilder is much more athletic than price and seems more confident in his abilities.

Wouldn’t take much to make the white ape look silly.

Assyrian God, Joanna Rod et al, I’ve a bit more confidence in Wilder than you guys.Rod you say Wilder may be another David Price, but I think their are key differences between Price and Wilder, both have very good power, but Wilder seems to have faster hand speed, whereas Price was more about power than speed. The biggest difference in Wilder’s favour is that he exudes self confidence, whereas Price never did and his Price’s fragile mental strength seem to be his undoing in the second Thompson fight.
As for claim that Wilder hasn’t fought anyone with a pulse, well a fews day back I re watched the Jennings vs Liahkovich match, and even though Jennings clearly had the better of Liahkovich, Liahkovich took some shots and was firing back even in the final rounds, so Liahkovich wasn’t as shot as many were making out, and Jennings threw everything but the kitchen sink at Liahkovich but couldn’t put him down.
Wilder also gets praise from those that have used him for sparring, notable Adam Booth said he rated Wilder when Wilder sparred with Haye 2 years ago.
People often point to when Wilder was put down by Scrivens in Wilder’s 12th fight, but I’m sure that Wilder has learnt from that experience, and Scrivens may have done Wilder one of his biggest favours.
Wilder will no doubt be facing better opponents in 2014, and we will soon know whether Wilder is the real deal or not…….so not too long to wait!

No point building up Wilder until he gets in the ring with someone with a pulse. Till he does that no one can say he wld beat this or that fighter excepting the bum fighters hes been blowing over all his career.

I think haye will struggle with a tall fast heavy especially one that can fight on the inside and out who is not afraid to pull a head lock and drop an elbow or two. I cannot see haye outboxing fury so he has to score a ko. Haye has the advantage early on but will tire against a 40-50 pound heavier opponent. That’s why I see it as Fury by UD or the less likely haye by KO early on.

Posted September 20, 2013 12:36 am

Yes wilder could easily be another David Price. He needs to step it up. Sparring with haye would help. Im sure the big boys Dimitrenko, Towers and Wach would have mixed it up with Wilder and each other as well.

Posted September 20, 2013 12:32 am

AssyrianGod.., Good post.. You said, “Fury is far better than Dimitrenko, Wach, Towers or Wilder.”

Not Wilder.., That boy is a puncher and Fury is a catcher when he’s in with a puncher of that class.

I hope hayefaker doesn’t run all night, like he did against wlad. I think he will, does anything for a pay day. Sore toe Sore ass hole after this…

Anonymous sucks!!!he,s a total prick to!!!!Gimp

Posted September 19, 2013 2:47 pm

Rod, I think you have called it wrong. The faster more mobile boxer will win this, and that is clearly Haye. Anything can happen in boxing particularly at heavyweight where history has shown that just one well connected punch can turn everything on it’s head, so yes Fury has a chance if he manages to land, but I can’t see anyway that Fury beats Haye on points, he simply can’t outbox Haye……Haye has too much variety and hand speed and power.
I predict Haye to win by TKO rd 7.

Posted September 19, 2013 12:56 pm

I would also rather see Wlad take on a taller opponent who can box well and has some power than haye again. We all hoped to see Price face wlad but he was brutally exposed twice and Wach the only taller opponent wlad has ever faced, has punch but moves like molasses and has limited skills. Who wants to see haye run around for another 12 rounds with wlad. No thanks. At least fury would be more interesting. Haue will test him.

Tark, I’m with you on the “illegal punch” that somehow wasn’t spotted!
I watched the fight live on Ch5 and cried foul as soon as I saw the forearm of Fury being just to prop up Cunningham’s head, Fury had hurt Cunningham just prior to the KO and would probably have KOed eventually him, but still an illegal punch is an illegal punch and find it a shame that boxing isn’t as strictly governed as other sports are.

Posted September 19, 2013 12:49 pm

Im going out on a leg here but I get it right 80% of the time. Fury by UD. He is going to keep it at distance and rough house haye when on the inside with hugging and elbows. Haye has the advantage early but fury is much taller and is good on both the outside and inside and is dirty. Fury is no valuev and can actually move very fast. Fury is also much better than towers, dimitrenko and wach. Wilder is still a mystery and is the biggest puncher out of these giants and have proven nothing yet. I think Fury will survive the big punch and wear haye down in a dirty fight.

I’d feel better about Fury’s chances if he had a top notch trainer. I’m sure his uncle is smart guy, but in the big time, you need the very best. If Fury made better use of his size, I’d give him a better chance but he gets involved inside too much. Good for the fans, not good for his chances at top level. I hope he surprises me, but I have to doubt it.

Forget the hype, Haye is gonna destroy Fury. Makes way too many mistakes and flaws for Booth to exploit.

With Groves and Booth have splitting….. Booth is imo the best trainer in the UK. I believe Nathan Cleverly may be seeking a new trainer……

Booth would certianly polish up Clev’s talent and remarkably enhance his ring IQ and game plan strategy and awareness, watch this space

Its great they are both taking it so seriously. Haye by KO in the 1st half of the fight.

De Lima I.

DH’s movement will be too much for TF to handle.

Posted September 19, 2013 6:44 am

Haye spanks this big lunk the same way he did Chisora and Harrison. Fury has nothing but size and Haye is well used to fighting taller opponents.

“Skills pay the bills” and Haye is a much better boxer with explosive power for his size and good speed.

Posted September 19, 2013 6:20 am

Wach is a slow moving amature, that was busted for roids,in the k-bro. fight.Dimitrenko is a limited robot, and Wilder has lots of power but still looks raw and is still a big ?.So that whole sparring partner remark dosent hold water.Haye did the right thing by getting big guys built like Fury, getting use to that size diffrance in the ring.Just like Fury really used the right fighters to get ready for Haye.It seems like both guys had great camps, which stinks for Fury.Because if Fury could beat Haye it might have been because Fury had a great camp where Haye was very ill prepared…but that dosent seem the case.

Posted September 19, 2013 5:35 am

Tark, I think Dimitrenko would give wach a good fight. The first 5 rounds with Pulev were an absolute war, he did better than Ustinov. He does not have wach’s chin but he moves better. Towers is also a power puchers, shame we did not see him fight lucas browne.

Cunningham is in the business of making money. He wilk take the best offer on the table no matter WHO is offering it.

Posted September 19, 2013 1:05 am

Wilder sucks.

Posted September 19, 2013 12:42 am

Haye has some monster sparring partners in Wilder and Wach.. I’m amazed. Those guys are dangerous hitters.. I’m not sure what he wants with Dimitrenko, who has no jab or boxing ability — but he’s another big, tall, 257lb guy who held the European Heavyweight title for a fight.. Haye hasn’t spared the money on sparring, that’s for sure. The Canelo Alvarez team should take a lesson from him.

Steve Cunningham should help Fury, but I don’t think Eddie Chambers has the strength or power to prepare Tyson for Haye’s game.. But it’s interesting when you knock a guy out with an illegal punch and then offer him a job as a sparring partner … and he agrees to work with you.

KL, true. Chambers is depleted now. Dropping that weight killed his strength and reflexes. He’ll never be the same. But he’ll give Fury good rounds in the gym. NOT TOO FAST ESB fix your lame site software.

Posted September 18, 2013 8:15 pm

Fight Aficionado I think it would be questionable if today’s Eddie Chambers could beat Dimentrenko, not that I think Dimentrenko is that good, but he did give Pulev a fair argument at times in their fight.

Posted September 18, 2013 8:09 pm

For what it’s worth Haye is odds on favourite with Fury being 3/1 against.

Posted September 18, 2013 8:06 pm

I was never big on Tyson fury but his recent antics have made me pmsl! He is very entertaining and I like him now

Fury’s video is nothing short of a sad, profane cry for help. He’s already lost.

Posted September 18, 2013 7:32 pm

I dadnt see haye spare n wach in any of hayes videos only the other fighters. Maybe wach sparked him out or whatever the brits say.

Posted September 18, 2013 7:23 pm

PMSL ! – There are CLEARLY speeded up parts in Haye’s video.Watch how the guys on the outside are moving as if in a Chaplin movie!

Wladimir Klitschko,Carl Froch,Anthony Joshua,Malik Scott,Lennox Lewis,BJ Flores,Clinton Woods,Amir Mansour,Ernie Shavers,Lamon Brewster,Tony Thompson,Martin Rogan,George Groves,Harold Knight,Al Cole,Robert Helenius,Deontay Wilder,Johnny Nelson,Manuel Charr,Scott Welch, all the bookies and even most in Manchester, England all think David Haye will win this fight. All the others that think Tyson Fury is gonna win are either family or friends.

Posted September 18, 2013 7:08 pm

Tyson Fury will think there are two David Hayes in the ring with him. He will be battered left right and centre..

Actually Chambers didn’t just outbox Dimitrenko, he manhandled him and beat him down. It was shocking to watch. Dimitrenko it turns out has size and little else. He’s physically weak.

Posted September 18, 2013 6:44 pm

Anything can happen in this fight. Furys family may even storm the ring and kill Haye if he KO’s Fury. I’d be scared if I were little David.

Posted September 18, 2013 6:17 pm

Tyson Fury is the most mental man in boxing. I hope he beats Haye!

Posted September 18, 2013 6:15 pm

peti yep “fast” Eddie Chambers schooled Dimentreko and beat Peter, and I thought that Chambers had the beating of Povetkin had he not got lazy in the fight………that said that was a while back and Chambers is a mere shadow of what he use to be, so right now I’m not sure if Chambers is the better man.

Posted September 18, 2013 5:45 pm

Fury v Wilder would be interesting for as long as it lasts, as would Fury-Wach. Wach took Wlad the full 12 rounds. I think Tyson wins a decision too. Never seen Towers. Fury beats Dimitrenko. We might see some of these in the future! As for Fury-Haye, I think Haye will be too quick and will be able to land big shots.

Posted September 18, 2013 4:55 pm

Well,i don’t know of haye knows that, but eddie chambers knocked down and beat dimitrenko,so fury’s preparing with the better man

Posted September 18, 2013 4:40 pm

haye is right, every one of those guys humiliates fury.

That’s some good sparring Haye’s getting. Fury is also getting quality sparring with Cunningham in camp. I expect them both to be primed up to give us a damn good fight.

Jim Rich

Canelo vs Haye, who wins? I pick Haye.

Posted September 18, 2013 3:43 pm

Haye ko’s Tyson inside of 6 rounds. Too fast, too powerful and far too ring savvy to let Tyson grab hold and lean all over him. That’s the only way Tyson wins but Hayes footwork and ring craft won’t allow it. I believe that Tyson believes in himself and he is value for money but he just isn’t good enough yet.
