te tumbo I think santa cruz would beat him too but KK would give him a great run for his money, anything could happen, how does santa cruz like to be pushed back, maybe he doesnt?

At this point it becomes more about bigger paydays and bigger names for upcoming opponents. I just don’t see Cruz stepping backwards when he now has the opportunities to advance with leaps and bounds for his own career.

I think this would be an nice fight but not a win win situation for Cruz.

te tumbo

i don’t begrudge Agbeko positioning himself for another payday and i trust his guarantee that he’ll bring the heat and ferocity to fuel a war but i’m not even convinced he could defeat Terrazas never mind Santa Cruz. IMO, his swift and lethal punches would make relatively short work of ANY feather who tries and slug with him. only Garcia’s firepower is comparable to Santa Cruz’s at this moment. Salido and Ponce would provide better indicators of where Agbeko is at or isn’t. once again, i don’t begrudge Agbeko for targeting the bigger Names and paydays but he’ll have to a bit more to convince promoters and fight-fans that he’s worth the investment.

give King Kong Agbeko a shot he’s a fight anyone warrior who deserves it.

BUSTAJAY – I agree! Cruz has been looking good, he’s in a position to fight for more money and get exposure on some PPV cards, from a promotional stand point, a fight with Agbeko just isn’t good business, Agbeko isn’t a “name” and he doesn’t really bring anything to the table..

I love that little warrior Agbeko but I think Cruz has better options now. Just my thoughts

Correction; Ghanaian. Agbeko is rated as a Bantam anyhow, McDonnell is a new champ looking for a defence, maybe fight him, but he may be too tall, mobile and slick for Agbeko.

The Ugandan is a good fighter, he paid his dues. If he cant get this fight, he should try the Spanish guy, Kiko Martinez. That would be a great action fight. Though the Brit Carl Frampton should be getting a shot, after all he beat Martinez by ko this year.

Santa Cruz VS the World #1 Rigondeaux is the only fight I want to see @ 122Lb & Gary Hyde has shown interest in it.

You all that say Agbeko is a retard have goats for parents and have never been in the ring

Confused at how someone could have 40 fights and it still be to soon to fight anybody

Posted August 28, 2013 12:11 am

Good fights this passed weekend but now my focus is on Canelo vs Mayweather im worried it may be to soon for Canelo to fight Mayweather dont get me wrong Canelo great young fighter with power but can he keep up with Mayweather laps around the ring I could just hope Canelos corner instills in his head to cut the ring n work the body….

Morales boxed him the 2nd time.

Agbeko spoke well of Mares considering the beating Mares gave his nuts (twice).

Agbeko needs to put a couple wins together before getting a crack at Cruz

Walter Johnson

Agbeko only wants a pay day n won’t last 10 round before he gets ko .

Posted August 27, 2013 10:29 pm

i’d favour santa cruz by mid to late rounds nut shot

Agbeko vs LSC sounds like a good fight to me..I got Leo by mid round stoppage

*Edit* are LUNATICS.

How is it that a champion and former champion does not deserve a title shot. He’s fought everyone he’s coming to the end of his career he deserves the shot period. You guy that don’t think so are in my opinion LUNATICS.

Santa cruz is a tremdous fighter but he skipped the very best at Bantam.

Agbeko recently won the IBF title and deserves it just as much as Santa Cruz deserved to fight for a championship his first fight a super bantam.

Anyway it would be a great fight but I’d rather see Santa Cruz fight the very best bantams and super bantams.

FEARS – I like him too, but what has he done since losing twice to Mares? I’ll give you the “loss” against the nutcracker, but he had a chance to redeem himself and he couldn’t…of course he’s choosing Santa Cruz, but he doesn’t “deserve” the shot. That’s what I’m saying, I can’t speak for anyone else.

Why is everyone so hard against Agbeko? He is a damn good fighter, and a quality person who was badly robbed while getting his balls bashed in against Mares! I can’t think of anyone else I would like to see fight Santa Cruz right now.
