Shatterd Dreams

Hopkins would’nt have much if any physical advantage over Froch, most if not all the opponents Froch has faced would’ve been just as big as Hopkins overall and they were’nt pushing 50. Hearn seems to be using the weight division as an obstacle for this potential fight, i can’t see Froch having a problem with fighting Hopkins. Froch may not want to fight him because of his age but then he fought a 40+ Johnson so who knows, maybe Hearn was misquoted. It would be an intresting matchup though.

Even though he’s almost 50 years old, I still think Hopkins could beat Froch on points.

There is no way in hell froch would duck hopkins, its strange that hearn said this…

There’s only one guy that could possibly give Ward a run for his money & that’s Dirrell; Ward beats them all, Sergio, GGG, Chavez, Canelo, Hopkins, whoever…I think he beats Dirrell also because, even though Dirrell is as good a boxer, Ward is much more stronger mentally.

Would like Hopkins and Watd to fight: it could be battle of the dirties.

Hopkins is a good fighter, but he shouldn’t fight Froch, that would be very dangerous for him, Froch is not a soft touch like cloud or even Dawson, he would be hurt badly against Froch, I have great respect for Hopkins, but lets not be stupid.

He already fought Dawson. Why do it again? It wasn’t like it was close. I like this fight. Ward vs Hopkins would be about as boring a match up as you can make and I don’t hear anyone clamoring for that fight. Froch is a good match up because he will pressure Hopkins and make for a good fight. Also it is hard to call Hopkins the bigger guy here, he isn’t a big light heavyweight.

Hopkins is not on Frochs radar, he would beat up Hopkins, He would want to beat up Ward after the Kessler fight.

Exiled Yank is correct. Nothing against Froch, I enjoy watching him fight and he’s one of the best super middleweights around today, but I wouldn’t give him much of a chance against Bhop.

In short, Hearn knows Froch will get beat in a bad way. Froch is exactly the type of fighter that makes Hopkins look good: straight ahead, no fear, power puncher.

Hearn: Froch doesn’t need a catchweight fight against Hopkins
