It took the Dunblane masacre over here(Scotland) for the goverment to say enough is enough. All those kids killed by a sick fcer. Tennis ace Andy Murray was in that school that day in Dunblane. People just got used to the new laws. THEY HAD NO CHOICE. If its going to stop these killings whats the problem?? surely no right minded person could argue against that

Posted March 30, 2013 1:15 pm

People for common sense gun laws don’t want to ban guns. Many of us own guns. Only about 3% of the population want to ban guns and they’re out on the extreme Totalitarian fringe. In polls, 90% want universal background checks and over 70% want mandatory registration and training. You can’t get a driver’s license unless you pass tests, although almost everyone has a right to earn the privilege and goes through the mandatory process to get a driver’s license. Most other industrialized countries who allow their citizens to own guns make them go through a process of common sense background checking, registration, and training—and have very few gun fatalities.

Its gun manufacturers and a vocal minority who want super easy access to assault weapons and unlimited ammunition clips for anybody and everybody. Unfortunately they’ve effectively hijacked the legislative process to the extent that for the next 15 years I don’t see common sense gun laws being passed in the US. The minority rules in this country because the majority is apathetic. From a strict definition “liberals” don’t want common sense gun laws and “conservatives” believe they’re needed. Anarchists are firmly in control.

heavily armed men have an undeniable tendency to no longer be “good” men and want to act with impunity. i simply don’t trust the character, judgement, or psyche of a man (coward?) who amasses more weapons than he has arms because of an obsession with “surviving” at all costs (Wtf makes them so special?). Btw, the shooters in virtually all of the mass-killing cases in this country were “innocent” men if not geeky nerds before flipping-out and deciding to massacre truly innocent men, women, and children. it’s no coincidence that after arming themselves, guys who didn’t have the balls to say “hello” to a pretty girl suddenly develop the “courage” to charge into public spaces and blow everyone away before shooting themselves because they can’t even face doing the time for their crime. Pussies and Punks one and all.

Posted March 29, 2013 7:29 pm

The Obama administration is sending weapons of mass destruction to our enemies yet these same hypocritical liberals want to disarm the innocent in their radical liberal cities where the murder and STD rates are the highest. good men have a duty to arm themselves and defend he innocent from these haters.

“If I die I’m taking as many of those MFers with me as possible” (lol). FIGHT AFICIONADO, that used to be my way of thinking but i don’t particularly fear dying and am no longer as okay with killing (“is-this-the-end-of-Rico?”). anyway, i’m pro gun-control to the extent that i don’t trust ANY neighbor amassing a heavy arsenal of military-caliber weapons in my neighborhood. IMO, no guy can ever be “good” enough for me to trust them with that level of firepower and i model that attitude with my own basic if not antiquated home-protection firepower. otherwise, i don’t know if i could resist the temptation to take pre-emptive action against a gun-nut before he has a bad day at work or catches his wife with another man and decides to take “as many of MFers” with him as possible (lol). at the very least, i would make them feel uncomfortable with their gun fetish as in “just give me an excuse Mfr”.

“Look at Guerrero, tries to come off as this nice guy into religion etc.. and low and behold he’s just another short gun toting criminal…” – PE, Guerrero has a license to carry a gun here in CA. It’s legal to have an unloaded gun in a sealed container, which is what he had. The problem here is he didn’t have a NY state license — which he wouldn’t since he doesn’t live there. It’s an absurd example of how law abiding citizens can get railroaded by overzealous politicians, while criminals skirt the laws easily by avoiding places like airports.

it appears that some of you are unaware of a crucial fact in the tragic death of Vernon Forrest: because he had a gun, he decided to pursue the armed carjackers that robbed him. this resulted in Vernon being shot. withOUT a gun, he would’ve sat tight and called the police. a little poorer and stung in the pride department but still wealthy and healthy with life. in L.A., we used to think that 800-1,000 homicides a year was normal but even we were startled when the mark hit about 1,500 in the early 90s. under the leadership of Mayor Villaraigosa, violent crime rates in L.A. have dropped to 1950’s levels. a Miracle in the minds of those who had resigned L.A. to 1,800 homicides by the year 2000. anyway, if you carry a gun, you are likely to use it or provoke somebody to use a weapon against you. if you don’t, you’ll become creative and dedicated to avoiding conflict. like a Man with nothing to fear or prove.

Big Foot. The laws have changed recently regarding “reasonable force”, particularly after the “Tony Martin” case who shot two burglars who disturbed his sleep whilst in the middle of stealing from him.

A farmer who, most described as a harmless, yet hermitical loner who lived on his farm and had repeatedly been the victim of thieves.

Tony Martin show two burglars in the middle of the night in the pitch dark at his farm house, one died on the spot the other escaped, leaving his “friend” at the scene.

Tony Martin was sent to prison for defending his property, killing a carreer criminal.

Public outrage saw his life conviction quashed upon appeal and the law and attitude changed to defending ones home and reasonable force.

Now you can own a burglar, have a photo taken with your foot on his dead body!

I doubt Bob has even met with a legal mind that’ll tell him to go earn his pension and let me worry about the community service order.

Posted March 28, 2013 6:46 pm

Floyd himself was heading jail wasn’t he when he fought Ortiz? The guy with the attention deficit disorder.

Posted March 28, 2013 6:45 pm

You’re probably just looking for an excuse to pull another guys pants down and spank him HHLONDON. Either postpone or call it off and have Floyd fight someone else. Being on the way to jail and having legal problems doesn’t help in the ring, except the opponent. Corrales had them when he fought Floyd as I recall.

Jvincy, “entourage”?, he’s checkin in at a Delta counter FFS!

Posted March 28, 2013 6:41 pm

HAHAHA! He ain’t doin no time if the reports correct. Not like it fell out of his pants while a TSA Cum Gargler was givin him the finger-rim.

He declared the piece and it wasn’t loaded!

New reports suggest he was arrested because he kept saying “Do you know who I am … you know who I am”, whilst a chicken ran around check-in waving a kitchen sink at everyone.

Posted March 28, 2013 6:39 pm

Well, once Floyd gives him his pension, he’ll be able to hire an “entourage” who will do all this gangsta stuff for him.

What’s more interesting to me is why Showtime haven’t got him some executive hours on a hotdog to do this PR?

Makes no sense why he’s checkin anything at a Delta counter like you bums!

Te Tumbo,

Public Enemy is correct.

New York PD are too busy with policing their Soda Pop Prohibition laws.

Safest place on earth NYC right now!

There’s no need to carry a gun in NY right now, you just need a pea-shooter, some stink bombs and a decent alibi.

Posted March 28, 2013 6:29 pm

This fight is a wrap. No way he beats Floyd in this mental state. Oh he will so time for this. I think he has two choices. 1. Pull out now and save your career and O for post prison. 2. Take the payday of his life, along with the beating and then quit. Either way he’s got problems but I recommend the first choice.

Posted March 28, 2013 6:25 pm

Two thoughts:

1. Mayweather planted it to avoid a competitive fighter.

2. Too bad that Lindsay Lohan wasn’t traveling with him to hold the gun because for sure she wouldn’t do jail time.

Posted March 28, 2013 6:25 pm

Plaxico had the weapon while at a nightclub and then shot himself, the fool. This looks like something completely different. Kinda dumb and pointless (the chances of getting shot in NYC surrounded by people and in a nice area are VERY slim), but probably no jail time.

No seriously, Flagstaff is cool. Like that little old gas station/store just off i40 as you’re heading out of town back West.

Think it’s family owned and there’s a pretty piece of ass that works in there, about early 40’s, long fair hair, a little curly?

te tumbo

leave it to Public Enema to once again proudly display his glaring ignorance: violent crime rates in L.A. are currently at 1950s levels. i thought once PR boxing was flushed down the crapper Enema would stop emptying his douche bag on these threads.

Posted March 28, 2013 6:20 pm

Now I’ve been to Flagstaff, think it’s a very pretty piece of AZ using something like GoogleView/Earth, but if you EVER say something that silly again, I swear, I will drive all the way there and pull your pants down and smack your bum in front of the whole street!

Posted March 28, 2013 6:18 pm

public enemy have you been to the poor areas of Chicago or nyc? over 500 murders last year in Chicago where handguns are illegal. On the other hand visit South Dakota or Wyoming. you need to get out of your condo and see America. texas is asafe place, I just went hunting there with my bow. Lots of Yankees there, no jobs up north.

Posted March 28, 2013 6:15 pm

They should postpone the bout if it means he’ll be fighting while out on bail.

This one tops the other usual suspects:

1, I’m scared of needles
2, I need a two-week cut-off period from testing before the fight
3, “my promoter tells me who to fight”
3, We have to wait for the 40000 seat stadium Bob’s working on
4, Freddy has gone back to school to learn defensive techniques and should be done with his finals by 2017

WHAT! That can’t be! I thought Guerrero was a soldier of GOD who can’t do no wrong and is destined to slay the evil Dragon named Floyd Mayweather. SMH.

badger – whatdafkare you talking about? NYC has the lowest crime rate in the country because of the size of it’s police force and criminals are very afraid to carry a gun because of the harsh gun laws.. unlike LA and Texas riddled with gun crime..

with the gun hysteria at its height, what the hell was he thinking?

i read on a nyc website that guerrero is already on rikers island they have given him life

Some of you guys are so programmed by the state run media its pathetic! Instead of complaining about tyrannical government laws that want to lock the guy up because he wants to protect himself and hiis family, you attack the guys faith.

Robert A.

Hate to have to say this Robert – but you must be dumber than rope. You’re going to have to spend some serious money just to keep from doing the manditory one year minimum for unlawful possession of a handgun in NYC and since you’re somewhat of a high profile athlete, the gun hating mayor and his cronies are most likely to make sure you do time anyway – regardless of what you spend.

Posted March 28, 2013 5:17 pm

miatestomp is right. A law abiding citizen will now get in more trouble than woman beater Floyd. Go NYC.

“He did not carry the firearm on board. Ever hear of TSA? He declared it, which in most American cities is no big deal. NYC land of hypocrite Bloomberg.” – Correct. Guerrero declared it he didn’t try to hide anything. In some states that’s perfectly legal. In NY they arrest law abiding citizens by making it illegal. Meantime they let hoodlums rob and shoot us on the streets. They should arrest the NY politicians who legislated this nonsense.

He did not carry the firearm on board. Ever hear of TSA? He declared it, which in most American cities is no big deal. NYC land of hypocrite Bloomberg. I have traveled with firearms, but know avoid NYC, Chicago and London.

Posted March 28, 2013 4:54 pm

Well this is bad. I can understand why a wealthy athlete carries since thugs can rob them. NYC and Chicago are the worst place to visit if you are an American. We own firearms. NYC and Chicago set up these laws to soak $ from law abiding citizens. They do not want to do the hard work (social work) to get people from killing each other .

What a DUMMY. Trying to promote himself as a man of God while being caught breaking the Law…Well there goes the GOOD vs EVIL scenario. Floyd’s really going to SPANK him now.

Posted March 28, 2013 4:42 pm

I read another story saying he tried to check the gun in at the air port and that prompted a call to cops.

Posted March 28, 2013 4:35 pm

ANy excuse to avoid the beat down!

Carrying a gun on a plane complete tw#t. Should be locked up idiot

He’s fk’d NYC has the toughest gun laws in the Country.. EZ 1 year sentence.. Probably planning to take out Floyd Mayweather..

Posted March 28, 2013 4:14 pm

I couldn’t decide between that post or: He’s gonna need a gun if he wants to beat Mayweather

Posted March 28, 2013 4:10 pm

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, cause I got my nine.

Posted March 28, 2013 4:09 pm

Well Well, I guess Guerrero has MORE faith in Smith and Wesson than he does Jesus Christ….!!! He probably brought that gun in order to improve his odds in the ring… Not the best time to have an issue with a handgun in the US… Oh Well!

There are thugs in every big city looking to rob wealthy athletes so Guerrero likely wanted protection. Don’t see why he’d need a gun while on a promotional tour. Just hire a couple body guards.

It’s Me, Ernie

It is a felony to ship a firearm via FEDEX over state lines unless it’s going directly to the manufacturer, or from FFL to FFL.

Posted March 28, 2013 3:15 pm

Public Enemy

Tark – You do declare a gun at the Airport but it has to be an AirPort in a City that honors a CWP aka Concealed Weapons Permit.. the flight has to also be to a state that honors that CWP called reciprocity.. I do it all the time when I travel… Guerros problem is that he was declaring it on his way out of New York City a city I know damn well haz ZERO reciprocity agreements and no way in Hell does Guerreo have a NYC concealed weapons permit.. bottom line is he had an unlicensed gun in NYC… which equals big trouble for the Mexican..

Posted March 28, 2013 3:13 pm

Robert… You don’t declare a gun. You FedX it where you’re going or ship it there by other means to get it there faster than overnight. You’ve made enough money to ship a small item. Use common sense.
