Klitschko vs Haye still boiling

By Vitali Shaposhnikov: I have seen both Klitschko brothers being excited and offensively direct when discussing their opposition, but it seems that David Haye (25-1-0) has brought out the cocky devil in Wladimir Klitschko (55-3-0).

During their press conference in New York, both men had something to say about each other. Wladimir came out suggesting that it is still possible that Haye will avoid and skip on the fight: “I will not believe this fight until I see David Haye in the corner July 2nd. Thank God, he is going first. Then I’ll see, ok, he’s there, then I’ll come in.” (http://www.boxingnews24.com/2011/04/wladimir-isnt-sure-whether-haye-will-show-up-to-fight-on-july-2nd/). Looks like the numerous drama-filled events surrounding this fight being made, have made a skeptic and a pessimist out of Wladimir Klitschko.

Haye was also without a loss for words, coming back with: “You’re boring. I’d rather watch paint dry. The reason why I’m here is people want you to get knocked out so there’s some excitement in the heavyweight division. You and your brother have killed the heavyweight division and I’m here to save it.” Haye knows just what to say to get under Wlad’s skin. Being called boring is something that the Klitschko brothers had to become used to, but especially Wladimir as his jab became his only weapon.

Both men will be stepping inside the ring on July 2 in Germany. This has to be the most exciting heavyweight fight in the recent past, as many boxing fans predict a loss for the giant Ukrainian champion. Some assure others that Haye will be able to get inside and use his speed to reach Wlad’s suspect chin and send him to the floor via Corrie Sanders style. While there is always a possibility of anything in the sport of boxing, I predict a very dominant win for Wladimir. As a matter of fact, I think Wladimir will knock Haye out in the first half of the fight. Constant jabbing and keeping Haye at a distance will undoubtedly frustrate David, and likely push him to abandon his defense and leap in with wild hope-filled shots.

Ultimately this is the fight that boxing fans have been waiting for from the heavyweight division, and now its here. Let’s just hope for a good fight with a decisive result.
