Diaz vs ChavezCHICAGO, IL (September 24, 2009) A large crowd of local media and fans turned out at the final press conference for “WARRIORS COLLIDE/WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 6” which was held in Chicago on Wednesday afternoon at Mariscos El Veneno Restaurant.

“WARRIORS COLLIDE/WINDY CITY FIGHT NIGHT 6” is headlined by a Chicago showdown between former world champions David Diaz and Jesus Chavez in the ten round main event.

David Diaz: “I want to thank Dominic and 8 Count Productions for this opportunity to fight in Chicago. I’m in great shape and very well conditioned for this fight with Jesus. The fans should expect an excellent, “Chicago style” fight on Saturday night at the UIC Pavilion.”

Jesus Chavez: “It’s taken me 25 years but I’m finally fighting back here in Chicago. It means a great deal to me and I’m very exciting for this opportunity. I’m ready and I’m coming to win..”

Also on hand were co-main eventers Jose Hernandez and Juan Carlos “EL PEZ” Martinez who will be competing in a ten round junior lightweight bout as well as undercard fighters junior welterweight Ivan Popoca, heavyweight David Latoria and brother of Jesus Chavez, lightweight Jaime Sandoval.
