Gilbert, 17-2-0 (13KO’s), is returning to the ring following his showdown loss with cross-town rival Jesse Brinkley on February 14th at the Reno Events Center .

Featured on the undercard at “RURAL RUMBLE/FALLON FIGHTS 2009” will be Reno brothers; Derek and Tyler Hinkey. Both brothers will be looking to improve upon their most recent appearances on the undercard of the Jesse Brinkley/Mike Paschall “SUMMER SHOWDOWN” event on July 10th.

Middleweight Derek carries a record of 8-1-0 (7KO’s), while Tyler’s first loss moved his record to 5-1-1 (4KO’s) in the heavyweight division.

Also on the card, sensational undefeated lightweight prospect Bayan “THE MONGOLIAN MONGOOSE” Jargal will make his first Northern Nevada appearance. Thrilling crowds across the country with his thunderous power, Jargal carries a record of 13-0-1 (9KO’s) into battle, most recently knocking out previously undefeated Josh Durden on July 25th at Hilton Head, South Carolina.

2008 Olympian Gary Russell, Jr. to Face Jason Jones in his Fourth Professional Fight on August 7

(CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD.) – Featherweight Gary Russell, Jr. (Capitol Heights, Md.) will take the ring for the fourth time as a professional on Friday, August 7 at Buffalo Bill’s Star of the Desert Arena in Primm, Nev. The 2008 U.S. Olympian will face Jason Jones (Kansas City, Mo.) (2-2) in a four-round featherweight fight, which will be contested on the undercard of ESPN Boxing’s “Border Warfare” card, featuring Alfredo Angulo vs. Gabriel Rosado in the main event.

The August 7th match-up will be Russell’s first professional fight in the state of Nevada, following victories in Oklahoma, Florida and California. He will be stepping through the ropes for the first time since a May 1st victory over Alvaro Muro in Santa Ynez, Calif.

“I have been training hard with my father, and I am definitely ready to get back in the ring and entertain a new group of fans in Nevada,” Russell said.

The eldest of six brothers, Russell has been working out with his father and younger siblings in their gym in the Washington DC area to prepare for the upcoming fight.

He recently accompanied his younger brothers, Allan and Antonio to the USA Boxing National Championships to support them as they vied for a title he claimed twice during his amateur career.

An accomplished amateur, Russell turned professional on January 16, 2009, and currently enjoys an undefeated 3-0 record as a pro. He will look to extend his unblemished mark to 4-0 with a win over Jones on August 7. Border Warfare will begin at 6 p.m. PST, with the doors opening at 5 p.m., and tickets start at only $10.

Fairfax, VA (July 29, 2009) – Ice Promotions announced today that Jimmy Lange (30-3-2, 21 KOs) will return to the ring Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Patriot Center to defend his World Boxing Council (WBC) U.S. National Boxing Championship (USNBC) 154-pound title against his former teammate from The Contender, Jonathan Reid (34-11, 19 KOs), in the 12-Round Main Event.
