One In A Million Boxing Announces Holiday Contest for Local Charities

In the spirit of the holiday season, Octavius James, CEO of One In A Million Inc., has announced a contest awarding $2000 to one northwest Indiana charitable organization that has provided exceptional service to their community. The winner, chosen from submitted essay entries, will be announced on December 14th during the “Holiday Boxing Bash” at Majestic Star Casino in Gary, IN..

“There are so many outstanding, philanthropic organizations that do incredible work supplying necessary goods and services to disadvantaged families living in northwest Indiana,” James said. “This contest will assist us with the difficult task of choosing just one winner from the many worthy organizations who are making a difference here. I encourage every charity, who directly supports families in this community, to take a few moments to write and submit an entry.”

On Friday, December 14th, Octavius James’ One In A Million Inc., wraps up another successful year of boxing with their final event of 2007,The“ Holiday Boxing Bash,” at Majestic Star Casino in Gary, Indiana. Headlined by newly crowned NABC Women’s Light Welterweight Champion, “Merciless” Mary McGee (12-0, 7 KOs), the card also features the highly anticipated rematch between cross-town rivals Jermaine White (15-3, 7 KOs) of Gary and Ruben Galvan (27-11-3, 10 KOs) of Hammond, plus, in separate bouts, local standouts Don Moore (13-0-1, 10 KOs) and Jimmy Perez Jr. (2-0, 1 KO).
