Susi Kentikian Returns To The Ring On Dec 7

They are the next generation of German Box-Champions: Susi Kentikian, Vitali Tajbert, Sebastian Zbik and Sebastian Köber of the spotlight boxing-Team are young and very talented. On Dezember 7th 2007 they will step into the ring in their hometown of Hamburg and once again demonstrate their power – at the fifth „ProSieben Fight Night“..

Six pro fights are scheduled or that event at the Sporthallle Hamburg and the two main fights will be broadcasted live on TV from 10:40pm.

Susi Kentikian (18-0, 14 KOs) will already be defending her WBA world championship belt against Nadia Hokmi (9-5-1, 5 KOs) on that date in a rematch of the hotly contested bout won on points by Kentikian in May.

This rematch will be again another tough battle for the “Killer Queen” Kentikian.
In her typical and impressive manner she has shown in her last fight in September against Shanee Martin that she is the strongest women in the flyweight division.
If the legendary “Boxing Queen” Regina Halmich successfully defends her WIBF flyweight title on November 30 at her farewell gala in Karlsruhe and retires, unbeaten “Killer Queen” Susi Kentikian will try to win that vacant title.

“This time I will show Nadia Hockmi how strong I really am and it won’t again be so close,” said Kentikian. “The fans in my hometown of Hamburg will give me extra strength. The fight against Shanee Martin has given me extra motivation. If I add Regina’s belt, of course, it would be the absolute hammer. She’s my role model and I would be incredibly proud!”

In his 12th pro fight, the unbeaten heavyweight from Frankfurt/Oder, Sebastian Köber (11-0-0 (11)) faces the Brit Lee Swaby (22-17-2 (11)). In Dezember 2006 Swaby challenged Köber’s stablemate Alexander Alekseev, and was beaten by the hard hitting Russian in Round 5 by TKO. Heartthrob Köber will again try to demonstrate his power and keep his positive record: „I’m really looking forward to fight in Hamburg, it’s my second home. As always I will prepare myself with my coach Valentin Silaghi for this challenge. I want to show the crowd and the TV viewers my abilities and a thrilling fight with Lee Swaby.” With a grin on his face he added, after winning his last fight in Halle/Westfalen by knockout in round 1 and normally ends his fight in the early stages: „I don’t have to win in the first round, I have energy for six rounds!“

Other interesting fights in the programme of this „ProSieben Fight Night“ in Hamburg will include Superfeatherweight Vitali Tajbert (13-0-0 (5)) and Middleweight Sebastian Zbik (20-0-0 (7)).
The former world class amateur Tajbert faces the Spaniard Sergio Palomo (21-2-0 (9)). The opponent of Sebastian Zbik is the Brazilian Samir Dos Santos Barbosa (17-2-3 (13)). Both spotlight fighters had their last fight alongside the “Universum Champions Night” in Halle/Westfalen with impressive performances. Supertalent Tajbert won by unanumious decision over Peter Petrov while Sebastian Zbik won his fight by knockout in round 1 against the Columbian William Ruiz. Zbik is listed at #3 of the WBO rankings and # 7 at the WBA

Two other fight at the „ProSieben Fight Night“ will be named shortly. Middleweight Gennady Golovkin and Supermiddleweight Dimitri Sartison had to be replaced due to injuries and illness.
