Aaron Williams In Co-Main Event This Friday Night

Fresh off his smashing ESPN 2 performance, undefeated cruiserweight prospect, Aaron Williams (13-0-1, 9 KO’s) makes his Rhode Island debut this Friday night, August 10th, at the Twin Rivers Casino in Lincoln, RI. Williams has been training in the +100 degree, desert heat of Las Vegas. “It’s been hot and a tough camp and I’m in great shape,” said Williams after his Friday work-out. “I’ve had great sparring and Axel (conditioning coach Axel Murillo) has been trying to kill me, as usual..”

“Aaron’s in excellent shape,” said Murillo. “The scary thing is, he’s just 21 and he’s going to get stronger and his conditioning will continue to improve.

Williams’ trainer, former Light Heavyweight Champion, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, expects another electrifying performance from his young charge.

“Aaron’s in dog-shape,” said Muhammad. “We’re going to Rhode Island, do what we gotta do, get outta there and get ready for the next one.”

“This is the first time Aaron will be boxing in Rhode Island,” said co-manager Albert Falcon. “These are knowledgeable fans that come-out in big numbers and support boxing in a big way. Aaron plans on making a huge impression.”

“We’re very happy to be fighting in Providence,” said co-manager, Patrick Doljanin. “I want to thank our promoter, Jimmy Burchfield and all the great people at CES for their support and professionalism.”

Aaron Williams vs. Jeff Brownfield will be the chief support to the Matt Godfrey/Derrick Brown, 12-round main event.

In his last fight, Williams knocked Deleon Tinsley through the ropes and on the judges table. ESPN Sports Center selected the KO as the #3 “Play of the Day.”
