TIJUANA, MEXICO (June 12, 2004) “ Three weeks after the world premiere, the first weekly internet broadcast boxing series, presented by CMXsports and promoted by Guilty Boxing “CMX Boxeo de Campeones” returns NEXT Friday! June 18, from Las Pulgas in Tijuana, Mexico. Former WBC FECARBOX super lighteight and lightweight champion LUIS “VAMPIRO” ARCEO, from Tijuana, Mexico, goes mano-a-mano against ERICK “BALU” PEREZ, in the 10-round lightweight main event rumble. The bout will headline an all-action six-bout card.

Boxing fans from around the world can catch all the action via a live internet stream, and access the replay, at www.cmxsports.com for a monthly subscription fee of just $4.95. The series airs every Friday night, beginning at 11 P.M. ET / 8 P.M. PT. Subscribers will also be able to access archived fight footage and get behind-the-scenes interviews, previews and articles. The broadcasts will be available in English and Spanish. “The Colonel” Bob Sheridan, a veteran of more than 750 world title fight broadcasts, will be handling the English broadcasts. The Spanish broadcast team will feature former NFL All-Pro kicker and veteran sports announcer Benny Ricardo and former five-time world champion Manuel Medina, doing the blow-by-blow and color, respectively. Internationally renowned broadcaster and actress Maria Felipe will provide the in-ring post-fight interviews and be the ring announcer. Boxing historian Bert Randolph Sugar, former editor of The Ring and Boxing Illustrated, and the author of more than 50 books, has signed on as CMXsports Senior Boxing Analyst, providing weekly columns to the CMXsports website and commentary to the broadcasts.

Arceo, 16-1-1 (10 KOs), captured the vacant WBC FECARBOX super lightweight title in just his 15th professional bout, knocking out tough veteran Augustin Lorenzo in the third round of their 2003 fight in Mexico. When Arceo could not find a suitable challenger to defend his title against, he moved DOWN a weight class and captured the vacant WBC FECARBOX lightweight title, stopping Carlos Urias cold in the third round last February in Tijuana. Arceo’s unbeaten record suffered its first blemish when he lost a tough, close decision to former NABO/WBC FECARBOX super featherwight champion Antonio Ramirez last month.

Perez, 7-8-2 (2 KOs), from Mexico City, Mexico, has been a fan favorite of Mexican boxing fans since making his pro debut in 1997, fighting throughout Mexico his entire career. He solidified his reputation as a no-nonsense all-action fighter, when, in only his seventh professional bout, he won a unanimous decision over furture WBC FECARBOX champion Fernando Trejo, 10-3-2, a veteran who had more than twice as many fights on his resume than Perez. Perez enters the fight looking to extend his two-bout unbeaten streak.

CMXsports and Guilty Boxing will produce 48 two-hour shows a year over a three-year period with two cards each month emanating from Las Vegas –The Orleans Hotel & Casino and the Gold Coast Hotel & Casino. The remaining two shows per month will be broadcast from different locations, including, southern California and Mexico.

The exciting five-bout undercard will feature a host of exciting prospects, risking their records against tough-as-nails opponents, including: ALEJANDRO “CAMARON” PENA, 4-2, (2 KOs), from Tijuana, Mexico, against MIGUEL ANGEL GALINDO, 11-8-1 (6 KOs), from Mexico City, Mexico, in the 10-round lightweight co-main event; and undefeated super welterweight knockout machine ALEX JUAREZ, 7-0 (4 KOs), from Tijuana, Mexico, in a six-round bout against ONOFE CHAVEZ, 14-10 (9 KOs), from Hermosillo, Mexico.

“CMX Boxeo de Campeones'” will showcase the very best in action-packed Latin fights, a staple of Guilty Boxing shows over the past decade, as well as an extensive amount of high-quality features on boxing.
