Shantel Jackson vs Floyd Mayweather: A Look at Allegations and Counter-Points

With so much information floating around about this latest saga in the life and career of Floyd Mayweather, it’s only fitting that we should look at the core elements and separate the unimportant peripheral matters. The suit was filed by Shantel Jackson as a basis for “General”, “Compensatory” ($$$), and “Punitive” damages against Floyd Mayweather. Here’s a glimpse at her allegations and the counter-points they’ll have to withstand to win in court:
(Ms. Jackson Allegation #1): “He bent her arm, restrained her, and pointed a gun at her foot, asking ‘Which toe do you want me to shoot?’ “He then demanded her to remove her 17 carat diamond engagement ring at gunpoint”. This action was one of many reported in which Mr. Mayweather attacked her and imprisoned her, preventing her from leaving….a few times in which a gun was present.

It’s such a pleasure to be joined today by Floyd Mayweather, the 11-time, five-division world champion, to talk about his upcoming fight “MAYHEM: Mayweather vs. Maidana 2”. Gonzalez vs. Yaegashi + Estrada vs. Segura = Flyweight Wars

The Flyweight division doesn’t normally get the same attention or recognition as the fighters do at Welterweight, Super Middleweight, or the heavily debated Super Bantamweight. This week on two smaller networks beIN sports espanol and A.W.E., 4 Flyweights will battle for future paydays, pride, legacy, and unification supremacy.

Both fights feature similar stylistic matchmaking, the traditional puncher versus boxer match-up. In this case the boxer-types being Estrada and Yaegashi, have plenty of power and will engage in a brawl when the rubber hits the road.

The last few years Roman Gonzalez has been knocking on the door of elite status. This weekend presents a chance to kick that door in. Hardcore followers in the Western Hemisphere rave about “Chocolatito” aggression and knockout power, having stopped 33 opponents to go along with his 39 wins.

Roman Gonzalez was on the outside looking in on the pound for pound list because of a lackluster resume. After a somewhat softer run at 108, Gonzalez earned a signature win against Juan Francisco Estrada in a highly entertaining and competitive bout.

Frampton vs Martinez This Saturday

There is not an opinion in the world of boxing I value more than that of Barry McGuigan. I feel that’s an opinion shared by most, if not all boxing fans the world over. And, when it comes to Carl Frampton the legendary Clones Cyclone is convinced.

Of course McGuigan is entrenched in the Frampton camp, with managerial and promotional responsibilities, alongside his mentoring capacity. So, it would be easy, or lazy, to deduce that McGuigan is biased and more likely to push the credentials of a fighter, whom he would use for financial gain. You know, like a normal manager or promoter?

But, I think that’s what makes Frampton and his team special, this is not a financial endeavour, this is much, much more than that. This is about McGuigan and his son Shane, Frampton’s excellent trainer, facilitating a special individual in his attempts to replicate and even surpass his exploits and bring genuine big time boxing back to Ireland and with it, a unity not seen since the heyday of you know who.

Manny Pacquiao – Chris Algieri LA Presser Coverage

On November 22nd the new kid on the block Chris Algieri (20-0, 8KO) faces Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38KO) in Macau, China. Sam Soliman vs. Jermain Taylor – IBF middleweight championship announced for October 8th

New York, NY (9/3/14) – On Wednesday, October 8, DiBella Entertainment and Warriors Boxing, in association with Soliman Stanley Promotions, will stage an exciting night of boxing with IBF middleweight champion “King” Sam Soliman (44-11, 18KO’s) defending his crown against former undisputed middleweight champion Jermain “Bad Intentions” Taylor (32-4-1, 20KO’s) in the main event. The Sweet Sucker Punch

Tyrell’s final opponent was Francesco Damiani from Italy. Damiani was about 225 pounds of brutal, awkward mayhem. He was an extremely determined brawler who earlier defeated the giant Cuban, Teofilo Stevenson. Stevenson had defeated Tyrell several tomes in international competitions. This obviously wasn’t going to be a walk in the park for Tyrell.

Tyrell was coming off an impressive victory over Lennox Lewis earlier in the box-offs….

…Suddenly I was popped out of my reflective trance by Bobby Dance’s voice, “Hey, your brother’s getting ready to go next.” I was paralyzed with anxiety as I sat on the sofa peering at the TV as Howard Cosell broke down their bios while the fighters were escorted to the ring by their trainers. This was the most anticipated bout of the evening.

With no space between him and his opponent, Mayweather’s sharpshooter accuracy and unmatched quickness were not enough to land good punches effectively.
