Floyd Mayweather vs Adrien Broner: Who Wins!? (according to the rumour-mill we may find out)

You know you’d watch this one!

Adrien Broner, seemingly everyone’s favourite bad guy, has “a big announcement” to make soon, and there are growing rumours that say the big news “The Problem” is set to make is that he will fight none other than superstar Floyd Mayweather in December. As fans know, “Money” let it be known a while ago how he intends to fight a massive money rematch with Manny Pacquiao (Floyd said in December), and there is talk of Floyd boxing a “tune-up” fight/event in Japan on New Year’s Eve first.

Enter Broner. Maybe. This fight, should it actually happen – and do not be surprised if it does come off – would be the ultimate Grudge Fight. Mayweather and Broner were once good friends, Mayweather even being seen as Broner’s idol and mentor. But the two have had a few arguments since those days and the two are seemingly friends no more. Mayweather, ever the smart business man, knows he needs something juicy, something with a little bite to it if he’s to pull in the big number of paying fans he’s accustomed to, and it’s likely this fight would do it.

Nothing at all is official yet (and in these days of social media, what fighter hasn’t got “a big announcement” to make?) and Broner may have other news, but this fight seems to have legs. A number of websites have picked up on it, and we now await Broner’s news. But again, don’t be surprised if this one does actually happen.

29 year old Broner, a former four-time world champ, is currently 33-3-1(24) and he was last seen being held to a draw by Jessie Vargas in April of this year. 41 year old Mayweather is of course 50-0(27) was last seen picking up a fortune in his winning fight with MMA star Conor McGregor last August. And now these two friends turned enemies could clash in Tokyo before the end of the year.

Who wins? We already know the answer to that: 51-0 on New Year’s Eve?
