Wanna see a rematch between “retired” great Floyd Mayweather and “retired” great Manny Pacquiao? If you do, and if there are enough fans around the world asking for a rematch of last May’s “Fight of The Century,” it could happen. So says Showtime boss Stephen Espinoza. In speaking with RingTV.com, Espinoza said he has spoken with Mayweather Junior recently, and that the feeling he got was that the 39-year-old would “strongly consider” giving fans any fight – including a rematch with Pacquiao – if the demand were great enough.

Floyd Mayweather Junior reportedly told Tim Bradley he had Pacquiao III fight a draw
It didn’t go out live on air, nor was it recorded, but a conversation Floyd Mayweather Junior is supposed to have had with Tim Bradley this past Saturday would have been a very interesting one to have eavesdropped on. According to a piece by Wallace Matthews on ESPN.com, the retired great is supposed to have told the beaten Bradley that he had Saturday’s rubber-match between Bradley and the now retired Manny Pacquiao all even as a draw.
Pacman & Money – Two Too Good to Retire
For purely selfish reasons, boxing fans lament, “say it ain’t so” to Manny “Pac man” Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38KO) and Floyd “Money” Mayweather, Jr. (49-0-0, 26KO). They are two fighters, who should remain at the top of the P4P lists. There is a problem, though. Money wisely continues with his desire to be in control. In other words, as he explains, he wants it to be his decision to retire, rather than have adverse effects of the brutal game dictate when it’s time to retire.
Floyd Mayweather Junior-Adrien Broner – could it actually happen?

In the days leading into last night’s Adrien Broner-Ashley Theophane fight – a match-up that had not set fight fans on fire – the main topic of discussion was not the fight itself, but the shenanigans Broner had, and was getting up to outside of the ring. Broner’s legal troubles generated plenty of ink, as did his failure to make weight for the Theophane fight, but “The Problem’s” seemingly very real problem in getting along with his one-time hero and “big brother,” Floyd Mayweather Junior really set tongues wagging and got keyboards pounded.
Mayweather shows off his money, says he is happy in retirement “making seven figures a month”
They don’t call him “Money” for nothing. All-time great Floyd Mayweather Junior, might be retired, but the 49-0 star has never been shy or retiring when it comes to talking about the incredible fortune he has amassed during his career. The recently turned 39-year-old took to Instagram yesterday to show off a large portion of his cash and to also state that he is more than content in retirement.
Mayweather, who is worth around $500 million or more, posted a picture of himself counting bundles of dollars and wrote the following:
Floyd Mayweather Vs. Conor McGregor: the best against the best in a crazy idea of a fight that would make a $billion?
It seems retired great Floyd Mayweather cannot stay out of the news. Whether he is talking about coming back or not coming back, or whether someone else is talking about him, Mayweather’s name is always out there. One man who is no stranger to Mayweather, MMA megastar Conor McGregor, who has had a few exchanges with Mayweather on social media, has spoke about how he is “open” to a crossover fight with the unbeaten boxing master.
Is Floyd Mayweather talking up a comeback fight against GGG?
Lately the recently retired Floyd Mayweather Jr. has said in interviews that GGG would be/would’ve been easy work for him if they’d fight/fought.
Prior to this Mayweather always dismissed the Khazakstan fighter as ‘not at his level’.
In this writer’s opinion it’s no coincidence that the Al Haymon advised fighter Dominic Wade will be fighting GGG next. I’m positive Floyd Sr. and Roger will be watching this fight with eagle eyes looking for weaknesses and strategies they can put together, prior to consulting ‘Lil’ Floyd as to whether a fight against GGG is feasible/winnable.
Happy Birthday, Floyd Mayweather Junior – ranking “Money’s” three best performances
“Retired” boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather Junior celebrates his 39th birthday today. The word retired is in quotes because, well, practically everyone who follows the fight game is all but certain Mayweather, currently 49-0, WILL fight again – it’s just a matter of time, the general line of thinking goes, until Floyd comes back in search of pro win number-50.
And, despite the fact that age 39 is somewhat advanced for a top class prize fighter (greats Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Joe Louis and many others were finished well before closing in on age 40), Mayweather has proven that age is literally just a number to him. Eventually, if he were to fight on and on, his reflexes would fade or his punch resistance (never tested too much as it is!) would desert him, but there wouldn’t be too many people willing to bet against Mayweather managing to put at least one more result in his win column if he did/does box again either later this year or early next.
Khan said he’d fight “Money” – for no money! Khan insists Mayweather ducked him
According to Amir Khan himself, the Bolton man wanted a fight with superstar Floyd Mayweather Junior so badly, he offered to fight the 49-0 master for free. Speaking with TMZ Sports, Khan – who got a massive fight with Canelo Alvarez after unsuccessfully chasing Floyd and Manny Pacquiao – also said he had no option but to move up in weight because “no-one in my division wanted to fight me.”
Floyd says he has no desire to lace them up again?
As a Floyd Mayweather fan I must applaud him on a successful pugilistic career. That being said, I know, actually we all know, at some point Floyd is going to return to the ring to put that 50th notch on his belt. I don’t believe his retirement gig!
He said during a recent interview that he could squash the May 7, 2016 bout between Canelo and Amir Khan by calling up Danny Garcia and proposing a fight for that same date. Nothing could be further from the truth then this verbal gestation, nobody would pay their hard-earned dollars, pesos, rubles, pounds or whatever to see this miss-match. Nice try Mr. Mayweather, nice try.
