It has today been announced how the big, heavily hyped “Super Fight” between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will be televised in the UK by Sky Sports Box Office. Sky defeated BT Sports, Box Nation and ITV to bag the exclusive rights to the August 26 bout in Las Vegas and big numbers are expected to be generated despite the fight being set to take place at around 5AM UK time.
We are just one month away from the monstrously hyped Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor “Super Fight,” yet here in the UK there is still no confirmation regarding just who will televise the August showdown.
According to Eddie Hearn, who spoke with both IFL TV and Business Insider, the following have put in their respective undisclosed bids for the rights: Sky, Box Nation, ITV, BT Sport.
We don’t yet know who the third man in the ring will be on August 26, to work the heavily hyped “Super Fight” between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor, but McGregor has brought in a retired boxing ref to teach him the rules he must fight under in his boxing debut.

“We knew this fight would be big, potentially even bigger than the Super Bowl, but now we are almost certain it will be. The recent trash talking and promotional tour is only encouraging bets and at this rate we cannot even imagine how much we will take on it. One thing is for sure thought, we will need Mayweather huge. A McGregor early round KO as he promised would be a potential disaster and is a partly a reason we are giving a great price on Mayweather at the moment.”

SHOWTIME Sports will present the official live stream of the Mayweather vs. McGregor international press tour across digital platforms as boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and UFC superstar Conor McGregor embark on a four-city, three country press tour to announce their Aug. 26 blockbuster event.
With two stops done in their four-city press tour, fans in attendance, and the two fighters themselves, have had a whole lot of fun with Floyd Mayweather Junior and Conor McGregor. The stop in Toronto proved eventful, with McGregor getting off a few good lines (along with plenty of expletive language!); but Mayweather perhaps got off the best line with his challenge to his rival to bet his whole fight purse on himself if he’s so sure he will win on August 26.
