Arum talks about possible Broner, Provodnikov fights for Terence Crawford

Unbeaten star Terence Crawford really does like as though he is on the way to the top of the pound-for-pound charts and to possible greatness. After wiping out the capable if not great Hank Lundy via impressive 5th-round stoppage last night, the options are plentiful for the reigning WBO super-lightweight king who has already claimed world titles at two weight divisions in his 28-0(20) pro career.

And promoter Bob Arum, in speaking with Ring.TV.com, spoke about these possible options; one of which is, quite amazingly, a fight against the Al Haymon-promoted Adrien Broner. Most troublesome for the trash-talking 26-year-old from Cincinnati, was his brutally exposing beating at the hands of Marcos Maidana just 11 days before Christmas in 2013.

Newly retired former P4P boss, Floyd Mayweather, has publicly shredded ‘lil bro’, Adrien Broner, for derogatory comments the WBA (sup) 140 lb champion made about Mayweather’s promotional arm.

Broner, who has bizarrely been upgraded to super champion status with the WBA after his one sided win over Khabib Allakhverdiev recently, was once considered by many to be heir apparent to Mayweather, with Floyd himself having been extremely vocal in his support of the Ohio native over the years.

Broner captured his 4th divisional world title with the 12th round stoppage of the relatively inactive Allakhverdiev, to the chagrin of many, maneuvering into title contention despite coming off a losing effort against Ohioian rival Shawn Porter back in June.
