Michael .Fighters like to fight in the US Because that is the home of pro boxing & where the money is. Kinda like tennis players at Wimbledon.
BUT i remember when US boxers hed nearly all the main titles.Aint so anymore.I remember also when we owned the olympic boxing medals .Aint so anymore.
The world is catching & passing us up.Kinda like China is with industry.

Why keep on about Khans chin .His 2 defeats were with NECK PUNCH & A TEMPLE PUNCH.seems some here seem to be talking about fights they never watched.

@ Anynomous down below… Comparing olympic boxing to pro-boxing is part of the reason why Khan has been unsuccessful.

@ Curtley, you really came left field with the comment below.. Second to the USA, Mexico comes second in regards to number of champions, after that there are many great countries producing much more talent then the UK such as Puerto Rico, Argentina, Colombia, and Philippines are producing more champions then the UK…… My point is that ALL of this talent aspires to fight in the USA, no one aspires to fight in the UK, that includes Khan as well.

How many gold medals in boxing did USA get this year in Olympics?? Uk is steadily improving while USA are on sharp decline!!!!

You can’t be a pure boxer and always be successful nowadays… Too much wrestling, pushing, brawling, and infighting are allowed… Ward is the new prototype… Hunter will teach Khan how to fight. Up until now he’s just been a boxer — so what can he do when guys run him down and get in his face? He gets ripped to pieces now. Hunter will change that.

sweet science

Khan will be alright he needs the discipline to just box thats all he needs just jab and counter punch stay defensive minded he will be hard to beat if he is able to do that. I mean the guy is gifted with hand speed good size and reach for his weight division, has heart can even take a punch beleive it or not. He is still raw and it is time for a new trainer, emmanuel steward is the man for the job .

Ward is the champ over Froch and Dawson is the champ over Cleverly. Name a true champion please ….LOL

Another US fan taliking nonsense per capita the UK is light years ahead of the US and America should be expected to have motre champs as 500,000,000 people, its all changing fast though as the US pathetic amature team at last olympics show. The Europeans are really starting to run the sport as for the ‘in America where it matters’ comment that too is changing and its only the casinos not the fighters or the fans are the reason for the US importance.

Why are we still reading about who khan is picking as his trainer and why he dropped freddy etc.? Fighters switch trainers all the time and its not publicized for the simple fact they don’t run their mouths about it. PremaKhana runs his mouth about everything like whipping his ass deserves a press release. Who the hell is khan? I know HBO contracted him so they hype him, but there have always been better fighters. Its not just his lack of defense, its his lack of fluid offense, lack of ring IQ, lack of chin. I know you have to sell yourself, but shut the hell up already. This ain’t britain son, you’re just average in america – where it matters

Agreed khan can’t keep accepting a second rate service from Roach. He’s a top trainer but khan needs all his attention. Who’s next will be interesting. I’d love to see him hook up with calzaghe snr with Joe in the back ground. If khan could up his out put and improve his conditioning to something similar to what calzaghe snr got calzaghe to, that would be an awesome combination. Alternatively if khan wants to play safe Emanuel Stewart could provide him with quality defensive training ala vlad kilt

Levent Dervish

Maybe his new trainer will remove the glass from his chin?
