New documentary featuring Washington, D.C. native boxer Dusty Harrison

This year, the NATVS® campaign tells the stories of local born superstars and emerging talent with a series of documentaries. Over the next few months, we will roll out profiles of boxer Dusty Harrison, band Rdgldgrn, DC-United goalie Bill Hamid, and other artists, athletes and personalities united by their relentless dedication to following their own paths but also recognizing their cities as their home. These documentaries will support the “NATVS™” photography series, which will be curated by different talented photographers, that will each bring their own unique flare. Continue reading

Andy Vences amazes in co-main event of Fox Sports 1 card

Super featherweight prospect Andy “El Tiburon” Vences (12-0 8KOs) of San Jose, CA continued his winning ways knocking out Santiago “The Wolf” Guevara (8-2 3KOs) in the fourth round of the co-main event of ‘Golden Boy Live’ on Fox Sports 1. For Vences, this is his sixth straight knockout in a division that is not known for knockout artists historically as his victory over Guevara was his most impressive of his career as he defeated a fighter signed to Golden Boy Promotions. Aaron Coley picks up impressive win

Oakland, CA – Middleweight prospect Aaron “Heavy Metal” Coley (10-1-1 6KOs) of Hayward, CA returned to his winning ways by beating tough veteran Yosmani Abreu who has been offering prospects all they can handle up until this point in his career. Tony DeMarco To Be Honored

Hyannis, Massachusetts [June 24, 2015] – Former world champion, “The Fleet Street Fury” Tony DeMarco (58-12-1, 33 KO’s), will be the special guest of honor at the boxing event August 8th at the Hyannis Youth & Community Center (HYCC) in beautiful Cape Cod. That night’s event will be headlined by the Northeast Heavyweight Championship fight between Hyannis’ Jesse Barboza (9-1-1, 5 KO’s) and Pennsylvania’s Jesse Oltmanns (10-5, 7 KO’s). Phil Lo Greco post fight update!

Phil LoGreco is optimistic and upbeat following his loss Saturday night to Errol Spence, and is moving forward with renewed purpose.

“Saturday night was the restart of my boxing career, it wasn’t a loss,” LoGreco (26-2) said. “It was an opportunity at national exposure. I’m taking a week off to visit my family in Toronto then coming right back to Vegas to start training again.” Continue reading

Chagaev looking forward to Pianeta fight

On Monday Ruslan Chagaev and Francesco Pianeta, their respective trainers Pedro Diaz and Dirk Dzemski as well as promoter Timur Dugazaev and co-promoter Ulf Steinforth met for a press conference at Casino Esplanade in Hamburg, Germany. Turkish prospect Avni Yildirim stops Steve Kroekel in one round – Next Stop: Glen Johnson!

Fast rising light heavyweight prospect Avni Yildirim scored another impressive quick TKO victory over German journeyman Steve Kroekel on Tuesday night in Dusseldorf, Germany. Kroekel tried to put pressure on the 23 year old Turk but Yildirim fought back and dropped his opponent twice with hard body shots forcing referee Arnold Golger to stop the fight. It was the fifth win in as many fights for the former amateur standout who will face the biggest challenge of his pro career so far on August 15th when he travels to Miami to take on veteran Glen Johnson for the WBC Silver International Light Heavyweight Championship. Denton Daley Announces New Team for Upcoming Hershey Centre Fight

Mississauga, Ont., June 16, 2015 – In preparation for his return to the Hershey Centre on August 29th, WBA #8 ranked cruiserweight, Denton Daley, has announced the formation of a new fight team to guide him on his mission to claim the world championship.

Chris Amos will be taking on the role of Head Coach, while former two-time world title challenger Troy Amos-Ross will be backing him up as Assistant Coach. Don McDonald will continue on in his role as Daley’s Promoter and Craig Bongelli as his Strength and Conditioning Trainer. Continue reading
